22/12/2025: I lived in South Tyrol for a long time and have now returned for a few days after many years, eating at various restaurants here in Bolzano. We came back especially on our last day because they had by far the best dumplings here.

07/03/2026: First of all: make a reservation – seats on the terrace and in the front, semi-open area are very popular and subject to reservation. The Nußbaumer thrives on its location, the charming staff, and the fresh cuisine. The menu isn't extensive, but everything is highly recommended! Let Moritz guide you through the wine selection – he can tell you a lot about the local wineries because he knows them personally. Also, head to the heart of the Nußbaumer – the wine shelves have much more than what's on the menu. Treat yourself to more than just a pizza and a glass of house wine. It's worth it!

23/03/2026: An absolute gem. If you desire excellent traditional food of Alto Adige, and yet also a bit of modern flair, Arome Thaler is the perfect restaurant. The tartare di manzo might be the best I've had. The salad of asparagus and scallops was bright and fresh. Roast veal, succulent and tender. Wonderful Lagrein. And, perfect waitstaff. An excellent experience.

15/03/2026: Great experience! We had a nice table upstairs to the left - perfect for privacy within a small group. The service was exceptional, same with the food. The T-Bone Steaks were on point as requested. Very, very good. Totally recommended.

04/05/2026: Very tasty burgers – we each ordered one with fries. The staff was friendly. I didn't find the outdoor seating area very relaxing, being next to the road (and also a construction site at the time we were there)... but all in all, a highly recommended restaurant! :-)

The sauna and pool area were also really nice. Overall, we were very happy with our decision. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

21/04/2026: There are really many good hotels in this area - choose another place than this one. We arrived at 10:05 pm after a long drive and had deliberately chosen the hotel because of the air conditioning - which unfortunately did not work. The kitchen was just closed, but after some hesitation we were offered a "sandwich" and some greens. In practice it was dry breakfast bread with ham and cheese and a plate of greens, where the salad was brown and clearly not fresh. It was not something that should be served. The room was nice, but completely unbearable to stay in. The temperature was well over 25 degrees, and there was no working air conditioning - despite the fact that it is stated in the hotel description. After a shower the room felt like a sauna. When we pointed out the problem, it was dismissed by the receptionist (presumably the owner), who insisted that it was not hot and suggested that we could just open the windows. We explained that this was not an option for us, but were met with a somewhat dismissive tone. We asked if it was possible to get another room that had not been in the sun all day, but this was flatly refused. The result was that we – tired and overheated – left the hotel before midnight and ended up paying around 400 euros for having been there for only a short time. We cannot recommend a hotel that markets facilities that do not work, while simultaneously rejecting the guest experience. We felt misled, and our experience did not match what was promised when booking.

19/04/2026: I've been booking this hotel for several years; I travel to Bolzano for work and am often with my wife. We really appreciated the room with a window overlooking the square. The location is excellent, and you can easily reach the streets of the historic center. The reception staff is highly professional; they make you feel at ease. My wife really appreciated the room and the bathroom; it was meticulously cleaned. The breakfast was excellent and varied; the coffee was good. The bar service offered on the adjacent terrace was very relaxing. We will definitely be back... Gianni and Annamaria

01/03/2026: We were passing through Bolzano and were looking for a pizzeria. We were attracted by the quiet atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the cleanliness. Granted, I'm not a sushi fan, but I found everything to be really good.

17/05/2026: I often go to Bar EXIL, in the center of Bolzano, especially for coffee in the morning and afternoon, and it's always a great choice. A welcoming place, a pleasant atmosphere, and fast service. A special thanks to Tessa and Alena: always smiling, kind, and professional. They create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere every time I come in. It's wonderful to find such friendly and helpful people. Highly recommended for a coffee break or an aperitivo in the city center!

05/05/2026: Beautiful location right in the pedestrian zone and a wonderful ambiance with the olive trees. You feel instantly at ease here. The drinks were really delicious. The freshly squeezed juice was especially tasty. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. We ordered scrambled eggs and received two eggs with dry bread. No butter, no side dish, nothing. And it cost €9! I then ordered two more eggs, which also came with a significant additional charge. For me, the price was completely disproportionate to what ended up on the plate. It's a shame, because the ambiance and the drinks have real potential.

22/04/2026: Excellent food. We chose the cheese selection, the mezzelune, and the beef. Everything was delicious, especially the latter, which is a must-try. The staff was impeccable, super friendly, and very welcoming.

20/04/2026: Lovely spot with sidewalk cafe in Historic Bolzano/Bozan. Lots of seating, excellent professional wait staff and a menu that features traditional Italian and German food. Unlike many restaurants of the area, no cover charge is added.
