They helped me ti choose my wines from a big variety of options either super local or from the broaden area. Wonderful Arunda Classico to taste and very very tasty food.

30/05/2025: It was a great dream of mine to visit Sigmundskron and the Messner Mountain Museum. I greatly respect Reinhold Messner and admire his view of nature, the mountains, and their inhabitants, as well as his appreciation for all of this. We are absolutely thrilled with Firmian! We first had a picnic under the beautiful linden tree and enjoyed the peace and quiet – truly peace and quiet! Well-fortified, we set off on the circular trail. The atmosphere and the exhibition draw you into another world. Namely, the world of alpinism and the absolute passion for mountaineering, and what drives these people to accept such hurdles and sometimes torments – but also to overcome them! We sensed that this was a project close to Reinhold Messner's heart and not just a money-making machine. The exhibition is 100% perfectly integrated into the magnificent castle complex – neither of them fades into the background. The view over the Etschtal and Bolzano is of course a dream, you leave full of beautiful impressions and love in your heart💖

01/06/2025: A superbly rustic wine tavern, where Mali herself still cooks. A breathtaking view of South Tyrol—I've never seen anything like it. There's a small food selection where everyone is sure to find something they like. The Schlutzkrapfen (scraps) are among the best I've ever eaten; every bite is a delight. We'll definitely be back and stay there again.

13/05/2025: The food was delicious and the service cordial – unfortunately, the lack of a menu significantly dampens the overall impression. When comparing the price list with other reviews, we realized that we paid about €20 too much for our order (2 Schlutzer sausages, 1 coleslaw, 1 small Straube, 1 small portion of Apfelküchle, 1 elderberry, 1 apple juice) at €64. This seems arbitrary and lacking in transparency – a real shame given an otherwise pleasant experience.

14/01/2025: What makes a hotel special today? In my opinion, it is the people who work there and the philosophy behind it. It is also about paying attention to nature and respecting the environment, e.g. the traditions in the region. It is also about letting the guests participate in it by introducing them carefully, without the need for rules. That is an art these days. This is crowned by a lavishly laid table, without waste and excess, but with the special composition of the dishes and the selection of ingredients. You will find all of this at the Gasthof Kohlern. Authenticity among the people who work there. Respectful interaction, lightness and relaxedness as a natural coexistence - guest and host. Exciting stories, integrated into nature. You don't want to leave there and yet it may be precisely the leaving that makes you look forward to the specialness of coming back. And every year there is something new to discover, selected with great care and love. Thank you for being there, dear Gasthof Kohlern team.

13/01/2025: The hotel to relax and recharge your batteries. Josef and his crew are really special. The last time we were there was 10 years ago. Now it worked again and we booked a room including half board over the Christmas period (December 23rd - December 26th, 2024). I summarize the hotel services as follows: 1. Hotel The house has a 125-year-old history. Josef spared no expense or effort to modernize everything. A living room with an adjoining open fireplace (wonderful), a restaurant with a panoramic view of the mountains high above Bolzano, a top wellness department... The infinity pool and hot tub (open despite the cold and it was a show to be in there) A wine cellar, a seminar room (all very, very tastefully designed) 2. Massages A "must", the relaxing massage was a dream 3. Food & Service The absolutely highly professional kitchen surprised us every day with first-class dishes. We enjoyed every dish in the multi-stage episodes. The 4-6 courses were an explosion of enjoyment. It's really amazing what the kitchen does and the quality of the food that comes to the table. All, but absolutely all, of the service staff were professional, quick and absolutely friendly. Here I felt that the crew was behind Josef's concept. So it's really fun to be a guest 3rd room We had room number 6 on the 1st floor An ideal room for us with a balcony and the view over Bolzano was brilliant The cleaning was simply perfect... and we and our dog 🐶 "Oskar" felt really comfortable. Conclusion: The house was already great 10 years ago. Today Josef and his team have once again made a leap forward in terms of quality. I am personally pleased that there are still such first-class hotels with top-class cuisine and service. Celebrating Christmas with singing in the in-house chapel was something very special for us. We just say 'thank you' for this great time. This house made our Christmas 2024 perfect. We'll definitely be back💪

22/05/2025: The food was very good! The service was very attentive! Unfortunately, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc was €15! That's a rip-off, especially when the bottle costs €17 in the store! What a shame 😭

15/05/2025: When I come to Bolzano I happily return to this restaurant, it always reserves pleasant surprises, the care and attention for the customer is always high

06/05/2025: Best burger in Italy so far, I’ve tried many different restaurants but none of them deserve a full 5 stars with confidence. The burgers are perfect, the sweet potatoes are so good, and the dips are amazing. For the drinks we took the lemonade and it was very refreshing.

20/04/2025: The guys are really friendly and helpful. Good signatures although perhaps a little nauseating at some, but well elaborated. The top classics. Praise goes to the barmen: extremely knowledgeable in the matter. I went there with 5 friends for aperitif time. Very cool place in a historic building and also a well-kept interior. Too bad the wifi didn't work perfectly. Prices are honestly very honest despite being in one of the most expensive cities in Italy (an average of 12 euros per cocktail). I will definitely come back. Black Sheep best cocktail bar in Bolzano.

21/04/2025: Very nice place in the center of Bolzano, friendly staff and delicious dishes. As soon as they arrived my daughter was also given some markers to draw. Different vegan options, I tried both pasta and risotto, banaganousch and humus, all delicious. We will definitely be back 🙂

28/04/2025: Visitamos Forst Season varias veces para almuerzos de negocios y tuvimos una buena experiencia consistente. El servicio era rápido y eficiente, y los precios eran muy justos. La comida era buena en general, aunque algunos platos podrían haber sido un poco más sabroso o servido más caliente. Sin embargo, la experiencia general fue positiva, y Forst Season demostró ser una opción confiable para nuestras comidas de negocios.

10/05/2025: there were 4 of us and we waited 1.15 hours and then received a dish every 5 minutes so we even ate separately... unfortunately this is totally unacceptable
