05/05/2026: We were looking for a place near the apartment we'd rented, and Google suggested this restaurant.
We had a great time; the pizzas were good and the service excellent. From the outside, it seemed deserted, but once we entered, we found several people already dining.
The interior is beautiful, making it suitable for couples, families, or groups of friends. I recommend a stroll to try the dishes available on the menu, in addition to the many pizzas.

Good prices.
We've been back many times and always had a great experience and great food.

18/05/2026: I can only review the "hut" as a restaurant; we didn't stay overnight.
The building makes a great, new, and high-quality impression. In my opinion, it blends in well with the surroundings.
The staff was friendly; many regular customers were greeted very warmly, but we, as first-time guests, were also welcomed very kindly.
We only intended to have a drink, but then we also ordered an apple strudel with vanilla sauce. Sharing it between the two of us wasn't a problem at all. The vanilla sauce was exceptionally good.
We felt very comfortable here.

03/06/2026: Unfortunately, I cannot review the hotel itself. My reservation, made four months prior, was canceled four weeks before my arrival ("company holidays").
My deposit was only refunded after I requested it, which required several emails.
About a week before my originally scheduled arrival, I received an email stating, "Your arrival is imminent." When I inquired about this, the response was: "a mistake on the web."
Therefore, my review is solely based on this completely unprofessional process.
02/06/2026: We had lunch at this hotel after a wonderful excursion, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.
The food is truly delicious, and the professionalism, kindness, and gentleness that the owners and staff offer their guests is truly special.
Congratulations to everyone, and above all, thank you ☺️

18/04/2026: Yesterday, four of us went there for pizza. We ordered three pizzas, and they were good. I ordered the 300g rib-eye steak. I have to say, there's no way it was 300g; unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture. The taste wasn't bad, but nothing special either—rather average and under-seasoned. Considering the price of €38, which included side dishes costing €2—potato wedges and grilled vegetables—it's outrageously overpriced for the quality. I'd recommend sticking with the pizzas instead.

The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly.
28/04/2026: You probably won't find Da Dante in any Merano restaurant guide. Which is a real shame. Da Dante is located under the grandstand at the horse racing track. Calling it unassuming would be an understatement. From the outside, it doesn't look all that impressive. Inside, the ambiance is simple, or rather, understated. But the food is fantastic! Delicious, generous portions, and absolutely fair prices. For me, it's a real hidden gem in Merano. You should definitely make a reservation.

30/01/2026: This is where the locals eat. All the dishes we tried were delicious. The spaghetti carbonara tasted like it was made at home. The broth with dumplings was excellent, and the truffle ice cream was delicious.

07/01/2026: Very friendly staff; they welcomed us tonight even though we hadn't booked and we were bringing our 65kg Leonberger.
We had the roast beef and diaphragm sandwich, among the best we've ever had!
The craft beer was also exceptional!
It's clear this place focuses on quality, and if I could give one piece of advice to those who complain about the slow service, relax; quality and attention to detail take time!

17/02/2026: The place itself is beautiful. The girls are brilliant. The owner is a slave driver who mistreats and underpays his employees while putting on a good face with the customers. Furthermore, the hygiene is poor: sandwiches are served on cutting boards that are washed with the cloth they use to clean the tables. Chipped plates galore, which is known to encourage the growth of bacteria. The mop they use in the bathroom is also used for the place and, I presume, also in the pastry shop downstairs. The cutlery is always dirty with cheese.

03/11/2025: A very tidy, clean house, as are the rooms. We always receive a very warm and friendly welcome and feel very comfortable with the Somvi family.
We have everything we need at breakfast, and it's regularly replenished.
Free parking is available.
A refrigerator stocked with drinks is available on the ground floor. You simply write down what you take and pay at the end.
