15/09/2025: We were there yesterday. There's construction going on. Unfortunately, you won't know what's closed until you go.
But I think it'll be great there in the future. More chalets are being built.
04/07/2025: Unfortunately, the Zuegghütte is no longer there!!! 😭 It had to make way for a new restaurant (then called the Zuegghütte again) and three chalets! 😡 For years, it was our obligatory stop on our way down to the valley. The food, staff, and atmosphere were absolutely top-notch! What a shame!!!

15/10/2025: I ate two meals here. The pizza was delicious, with a wide variety of toppings. I highly recommend the porcini mushrooms. The restaurant is open until 11 PM, so you don't have to worry about missing out on dinner even after visiting the attractions. It's conveniently located near the station.

01/09/2025: An unforgettable dining experience. The food was amazing, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. We don’t consume alcohol, and the chef personally ensured none of our dishes contained it—he even offered creative non-alcoholic pairings. The staff were professional yet friendly, making us feel welcome throughout. To top it off, Chef Peter Brunel himself gifted us freshly made spaghetti and a signed non-alcoholic drink at the end. Truly exceptional hospitality and cuisine. Highly recommended.

03/10/2025: A lovely alpine hut to stop for a break after a hike. A large selection of food and drinks, but nothing exceptional. The price/performance ratio is decent. It's a shame when local guests (or the owner?) park their pickup trucks right in front of the terrace, blocking the view, even though there's plenty of parking space about 30 meters away.
20/09/2025: An excellent setting for combining the Latemar mountain range with South Tyrolean cuisine.
Not to be missed.

13/10/2025: Top-notch hut, halfway from the cable car, reachable in just under an hour!
22/09/2025: Recently voted South Tyrol's most popular alpine hut for 2025. It can be reached either via the cable car in Reinswald and a short hike, or entirely on foot via one of the excellent and well-marked hiking trails. The Urlesteig trail is highly recommended; it takes about two hours.
The hut itself is idyllic, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the food is exceptionally delicious.

10/09/2025: Stopped at this rustic alpine inn on the way down from Merano 2000. Super friendly service --> got a glimpse into apple strudel production :-) - and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
31/08/2025: Today I drank some really delicious fresh milk from the alpine pasture and ate a delicious Kaiserschmarrn pancake. A truly generous portion.

18/09/2025: We spent 12 days in Tramin on the Wine Route, spending our first evening at the Weis-Keller because we liked the pictures on Google Maps. After the first visit, we made three more visits with excellent food, a great atmosphere, and super friendly staff.
Is it worth recommending? We'd say a visit is a must if you're in the area.
However, reservations are mandatory, as space is limited.
Thanks for the great food and the lovely evenings...

A lovely atmosphere and knowledgeable and very friendly staff.
18/10/2025: As soon as you open the solid wooden door, you're greeted by an atmosphere of peace and security. The delicate fragrance and the stylish architecture with natural materials immediately create a special ambiance.
Breakfast was a real highlight, even for me, a breakfast hater – freshly squeezed juices with clove or dead nettle essence, homemade jam, regional, lovingly prepared, and simply delicious.
A place to unwind and enjoy. We'd love to come back!
