29/12/2024: Amazing bar and cafe. The drinks are superb and the detail in the drink presentation is also fantastic. The atmosphere in the bar exactly matches the quality and preparation of the drinks. To top it all off the pastries are also amazing! The staff is extremely skilled and friendly. If I lived nearby I would become an instant regular. Cheers and thanks for the excellent drinks!!!

07/11/2024: It is a good place to eat but I give this rating because it is the second time that I arrived an hour before closing and they no longer want to sell us. I would understand arriving 10 minutes before closing but I think an hour is excessive. They should change the schedule.

05/11/2024: Simple and delicious. The wild Boar was amazing. We took ours away and sat looking out at the amazing country views.

16/01/2025: Un ottimo ristorante tipico, in pieno centro a Volterra. Cibo ottimo, servizio attento e corretto nei tempi. Noi abbiamo mangiato: pici con ragù bianco di chianina, Hamburger di chianina e tortelli di anatra. Siamo stati molto bene, abbiamo prenotato poco prima di pranzo, ma poi si è riempito rapidamente.

12/01/2025: Even though it appears to be a tourist place, I have to admit that the food was very good. Excellent staff and very nice owner, they found us a place even though there was a problem with the reservation and the place was full.

I guarantee you will return In addition to the splendid welcome while you wait for your table, the owner will pamper you with sympathy and kindness with a glass of white bubbles and then... we recommend an extraordinary dish "the Volterranea soup" we guarantee that you will savor a unique dish with typical local flavors of Tuscany and then maybe a focaccia with pistachio, mortadella and buffalo mozzarella. Go and you will make yourself and the owner happy and you will definitely come back I would like to add that the negative review does not match our delightful and extremely positive experience. The dishes were prepared with excellent quality products.

Ho trovato cordialita del personale, celerità nel servizio (nonostante il locale fosse pieno), un menù molto ampio e un rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Ho mangiato la carne (molto buona) ma ho visto passare anche dei primi piatti (soprattutto pici) da leccarsi i baffi. Ci tornerò e lo consiglio!

08/02/2025: Una vera osteria Toscana, piatti classici ma buonissimi! Crostoni con cavolo nero e acciughe super, per non parlare della ribollita e dei pici fatti in casa con ragù bianco.... lo stracotto di manzo si scioglieva in bocca!! Tutto ciò consigliato dal proprietario del ristorante che in maniera simpatica e accogliente si è seduto accanto a noi per proporci la sua cucina!! Consigliato.

25/11/2024: Sono stato con dei colleghi (eravamo in 6) a cena. Oltre dei primi abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di salumi e un patè di fegato da mettere in centro tavola giusto per assaggiare. Quando arriva l' antipasto ci rendiamo subito conto che evidentemente la cameriera aveva capito male portandoci antipasti per 6 persone. Allorché ribadiamo subito che avevamo ordinato solo un antipasto , la cameriera, gentilissima ci dice che ne andava a parlare col titolare. Dopo pochi minuti arriva un altro cameriere, che gentilmente ci dice di non preoccuparci, che è stato un errore loro, che potevamo mangiare quello che volevamo e che comunque avremmo pagato solo quello che avevamo ordinato. A fine cena quando ci rechiamo alla cassa per pagare, troviamo la sorpresa. Nel conto vengono conteggiati 6 antipasti. Un mio collega tranquillamente prova a spiegare al signore che era in cassa (molto probabilmente il titolare) che c'è un errore. Non l' avesse mai fatto.. è stato aggredito verbalmente con urla e toni veramente allucinanti, dicendogli che se non voleva pagare poteva anche togliersi dai co.....ni. Praticamente non ha voluto minimamente ascoltare quello che il mio collega stava cercando di dirgli pacatamente, invitandolo a lasciare il locale perché lui i suoi soldi non li voleva. Subito dopo mentre pagavo senza discutere , ho riprovato anch'io a dirgli che forse c'era stata un' incomprensione e che forse valeva la pena ascoltare se non noi, almeno il cameriere che gentilmente ci aveva detto che era stato un loro errore. Ma niente da fare, ha ricominciato a sbraitare. A quel punto abbiamo pagato e ce ne siamo andati raggiungendo il nostro collega che era stato allontanato. La cosa che più mi ha lasciato perplesso è un cartello fuori dal locale dove specifica di essere un locale antifascista e antirazzista. Beh, visto l' aggressione subita, farebbe meglio a toglierlo.

28/10/2024: Een wijnbarretje met minimalistische inrichting en zeer klein. Binnen slechts enkele tafeltjes. Gelukkig was het aangenaam weer en konden we buiten plaatsnemen. Ook daar slecht 4 tafeltjes met meubilair waar je geen uren op kunt doorbrengen. Het is een bar waar vooral locals komen. De rode wijn was lekker maar de glazen niet passend bij de kwaliteit van de wijn.

28/01/2025: We went there yesterday night, a Monday in January. The food was fantastic. Very friendly owner, highly professional waiter, small, intelligent menu. I ate a vegetarian appetizer with artichokes and vegetarian ravioli with ricotta and sage, best ever! My friends liked their non-veg dishes and praised the red wine. I have a house in Volterra. There are many good restaurants in Volterra but Del Duca is by far the best.

05/11/2024: Every time I return to Volterra, whether it's outside in the summer or inside in the autumn, I make at least one stop. Nice and welcoming place, two tables for several people at the entrance, four for two in the room overlooking the street and others in an internal room. Polite and courteous staff. Sunday 4th (last day before the winter closure, reopening March/April) I ate spaghetti with seafood, grilled sea bass and radicchio in the same way. All very good. Prices are in line with those of other restaurants.
