15/02/2026: For Valentine's Day, I chose a typical Livorno seafood restaurant, and the experience was simply perfect. The cacciucco was extraordinary, rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance between intensity and delicacy. The seafood appetizers were also excellent. The service was impeccable. Each course arrived just in time, allowing us to enjoy the dinner without rushing. A 5-star experience that I absolutely recommend.
15/02/2026: The upstairs room was cold, the chairs sagging. The first courses arrived quickly and, I must say, were good. After 45 minutes, the second courses arrived for only three diners (the large caciucco was rather mediocre). When I mentioned this to the waitress, she apologized and promised a couple of minutes of waiting. After 15, the tension and disappointment were palpable. The dish was rejected. Further apologies after settling the bill were of little use. Never again!! Valentine's evening, ruined...

31/01/2026: Excellent quality, delicious dishes. They had a place in Montescudaio called Perbacco where I always went for dinner on the weekends. With this place they proved that even though years have passed and the place has changed, the excellent food remains. Laura is always super nice and sweet. Happy to have found you again!
26/01/2026: Very nice and well-kept atmosphere, fresh, high-quality fish.
I did find some negatives, however, such as the hot seafood salad, fried food, and baked fish, which arrived cold, which is not good.
The service also leaves a bit to be desired, as the place is small; we spent a lot of time with empty plates in front of us. Despite this, I would return, but I suggest the owners pay attention to when plates are brought out.
PS: Don't order the Livorno-style punch; they don't know how to make it.

27/01/2026: The atmosphere, service, and food are what you'd expect from a traditional trattoria. The fish dishes are excellent, with generous portions, and... well, at Pallaio, it's a great place to be!

Fish soup like my grandmother used to make, excellent grilled squid, perfectly tender and flavorful, panna cotta with punch cream.
I'll definitely be back.

04/03/2026: That's how it's written, but it's misspelled on the menu 💪😜. Picanha steak doesn't exist, but it's okay. I had a burger once, maybe poorly presented, just thrown on the plate with nothing, thank goodness there were fries. Overall, an okay place. Not bad.
24/02/2026: The grill menu was very interesting, but we opted for fried fish instead, which was plentiful, dry, and crispy. It's been a long time since I've had such good fried fish.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor.
A large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor tables, both on the inner side of the city walls.
A la carte menu.
We opted for two appetizers and two pistachio-crusted tuna. Delicious!
Recommended!

01/03/2026: A truly enjoyable lunch, with a refined and characteristic atmosphere and an intriguing menu featuring traditional dishes, both revisited and modern. Excellent selection of cheeses. The chef's skill in the kitchen is truly impressive, the service professional and attentive, and the wine list is very interesting, often with below-average markups. I will definitely be back; it's worth the trip!
25/01/2026: A casual yet tasteful location with a typical Tuscan feel, a bit hidden, with some missing signage. Fast and attentive service. Wide selection of wines. The food is rustic yet true to tradition, good, with portions just the right size. The price is proportionate to the quality of the food. I recommend it, definitely worth a try, and we'll definitely be back.

21/02/2026: I had lunch with my family at this restaurant... we had booked in advance, the staff were friendly, the only "flaw" was the service... a little slow, but overall we had a great time... they even gave us a table away so our big dog could sit comfortably without bothering anyone. Excellent value for money.
14/02/2026: The space is quite small but welcoming, and the staff was truly kind, helpful, and consistently polite throughout the service.
Unfortunately, there were a few things that left me perplexed. The bathroom smelled bad, and the door didn't close properly, a detail that should be fixed as soon as possible. Even the fish, while cooked decently, didn't seem particularly fresh.
Overall, the experience was mixed: the staff was very courteous, but there's room for improvement in the upkeep of the facilities and the quality of the ingredients.
