14/08/2024: PRETENTIOUS I had dinner at the restaurant on 08/13/24 and I have some observations: - waiter who takes orders and comments on each dish on the menu like a shopping list, without first asking the tastes and intentions of the diners and furthermore openly underlining the restaurant's desire to position itself in a high catering target -inattentive service for a restaurant that sets the objectives set out by the waiter, bread does not arrive, wine/water that runs out is not replaced. -of all the dishes ordered between starters, first courses or second courses, nothing particularly exciting. Particularly negative note on the seafood risotto, salty, loose and inside which there was a mussel, a closed clam, a shrimp and a small scampi. - only one mixed toilet for the entire restaurant.. In short, for a place that tries to place itself at a certain level of catering, we are not quite there, the prices do not in the slightest reflect the quality of the food and the service offered. Fortunately, there are other restaurants on Elba that offer the same price as another planet of catering

13/08/2024: Driven by the advice of several locals and the excellent reviews, we decided to try this restaurant with high expectations. The location is truly fantastic, and the service was impeccable: the waiter who looked after us was kind, attentive and chose the wine perfectly according to our tastes. However, we were disappointed with the dishes. Having visited many restaurants on the island and elsewhere, with a great passion for cooking, we expected more. The dishes, although made with quality raw materials, seemed rather bland and lacking in character. Our expectations were probably high, but we don't think that the quality of the dishes justifies the prices on the menu. In particular, we strongly advise against the raw dish: for 40 euros, we expected more refined flavors and a more generous portion of fish. In total, we spent 160 euros for two starters, a first course, a second course and a bottle of wine. In our opinion, a decidedly excessive figure for the overall experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant left us with the impression of being more appearance than substance.

02/09/2024: Very small place in the historic center of Capoliveri with very few seats. On the waiter's advice we order a rush of mussels and a grilled smoked fish, he said they were the chef's specialties. Inside the mussels we found some rotten ones that made a very strong smell. When grilled, however, the prawns were not fresh and they also had a strong acidic taste. If I were the owner I wouldn't have charged for the dishes because they didn't deserve it (he gave us a small discount). I wouldn't go back.

01/09/2024: Magnificent experience. Let yourself be carried away by the characteristic charm of this small restaurant in an alleyway of Capoliveri. Very fresh fish cooked very well. The friendliness of the waiter was a gem. Take your time to have an excellent dinner at your leisure. A very pleasant dinner for couples, highly recommended.

28/08/2024: Io Cucino is a restaurant located in the historic center of Bibbona. I recommend sitting outside to fully enjoy the atmosphere. The menu offers first choice typical Tuscan dishes, is varied (vegetarian dishes are also available) and is then completed with dishes of the day. Absolutely worth returning.

04/08/2024: Nice undiscovered place to eat for tourists! Delicious pizza, pasta and fries for the children. Also a super tasty white wine from Bolgheri for a reasonable price!

27/08/2024: The self-written menu was barely legible and had very little information on it. You didn't get a drink menu. Hardly any vegetarian dishes. Very small portion for the prices and as a non-Italian you weren't really welcome anyway.

25/08/2024: Il cibo non è male ma è una catena di montaggio! 3 turni serali a partire dalle h 19.00 dal martedì al venerdì (sabato-domenica e lunedì: chiuso). E' ua specie di mensa. Non ci sono antipasti. Per i primi piatti la scelta si limita a sole due pietanze. Tutto finalizzato a rendere la sosta ipù rapida possibile. Probabilmente la celebrità che il locale ha avuto dopo la trasmissione televisiva (camionisti in trattoria) le ha rimosso molti dei pregi del passato! E'rimasta l'essenzialità de locale e poco più. Non credo che attualmente sia ancora frequentato da camionisti abituali.

29/08/2024: Perfect place for a romantic dinner. The place is well looked after, the tasting menu is worth trying, the service is attentive and attentive. Honorable mention for the "three times cod" dish.

19/08/2024: I'm sorry because I know what it means to have a business and the sacrifices that go into it but you don't take a reservation guaranteeing that there is air conditioning and then this turns out to be just a regulation of air that sometimes breaks through, it's not done . If I am told that it isn't there or that, as I think I saw, it is there but everything is kept open, and therefore it is no longer of any use, I am free to decide whether to dine there or not. Food ok but nothing more. Then it would be nice to have a cloth tablecloth top since the undercloth and napkins already are. I don't recommend it, at least not in summer.

26/08/2024: Pizza for two with 4 choices, the offer is not clear since there are supplements to add. Good pizza, generous on two of the four portions… Recommended all the same, taking one pizza per person instead. Quality products.
