31/03/2026: At Mario's, the food is excellent: the grilled meat is excellent, and the carefully prepared first courses are also delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed, so it's always best to book.

18/07/2026: The place appears to be welcoming. Welcoming staff, but the very surly managers favor tables. The food was below expectations. They don't know what hospitality is. We asked to move our table because they sat us next to the pizza oven, but the managers didn't even show up to apologize, ignoring our request. They told us the kitchen was closed, leaving us without a main course, but they served food to a table after us. So I didn't know if the kitchen was closed for us and open for others. Moral of the story: don't be fooled by appearances.

06/07/2026: Clean place, friendly staff. The anchovies are truly delicious, the cheese from the cured meats appetizer is a true specialty, and then, as promised, the review for the pizza wizard cannot be missed, a margherita that is a spectacle for the eyes and the palate, which pleasantly surprised me, I have to recommend it. I happened upon it by chance from Rome on June 28, 2026, and I already miss it, you know, I highly recommend it for its excellent quality, and the quality/price ratio that could not be missed. 09/06/2026: Old, inedible brioches that were at least two days old. This is the professionalism of the guy behind the counter who, despite realising the poor quality of the product he was selling us, made us pay handsomely.

18/03/2026: Excellent location in a beautiful town. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. We tried the Belgian, American ale, and blonde, with the Belgian being our favourite. No issues paying by card either. Special shoutout to the playlist, 90s nostalgia that definitely kept us there longer than planned. Would happily come back again

23/07/2026: Many thanks for this bar. The building has a restroom, cloakroom, lockers, and showers. And of course, the food. Delicious. Prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are large and fair for the price. Opening hours: no break after 2 p.m. – it's open all day.

23/07/2026: Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, standard menu, and reasonable prices despite the location. Convenient for a quick bite or between swims, but there's no table service.

22/07/2026: The review is for the food, the atmosphere, the service...but... I sent a WhatsApp message two days ago. The owner very kindly told me they were closed. A few hours later, he called me apologetically, but "they're open." At 9 PM, we showed up at the restaurant, where we found two very kind and helpful black guys who prepared a delicious slice of steak for us at a fair price. We asked for the next day, but they told us they were closed, but that they were open today. We arrived today and found a man and a woman (who were also there, but useless, two days ago) who told us the restaurant was closed. At 9:15 PM, we had to scramble to find a place to eat at least a first course. It's a shame, we were already looking forward to this grilled dinner.

20/06/2026: We stopped by chance and it was a wonderful surprise. Comfortable outdoor setting, very friendly staff, and excellent food. I recommend the tagliata. Tender and perfectly cooked.

04/06/2026: A decent inn (good room) just a few kilometers from the Saturnia public hot springs. There's also a restaurant, offering excellent value.

24/05/2026: We stayed yesterday for one night. We left with the pizza chef who took us to our room (very kind, mind you). The room had no light. He offered to change the light bulb, but we said it was fine, we made do with tea lights. Broken drain, ugly room, cracked ceiling... not satisfied, we decided to go eat at their restaurant. Terrible choice: Maremma cheese platter (2 slices of supermarket ham, 2 of salami, and 4 small pieces of cheese (low quality)... I ordered a truffle gnocco, and my husband ordered pici cacio e pepe. They said the pasta was homemade, but it wasn't, everything was packaged. In fact, I smelled hazelnuts in the gnocchi, and when I asked if they were there (being intolerant), I was told that it wasn't written on the package. The pici were dry, and the house wine was completely watered down. We didn't order the second course out of fear. Very expensive, by the way.
