08/12/2025: A simple place, it offers takeout or served at a few tables or at the counter: we enjoyed the pane cunzato with tuna/dried tomatoes and olives and the swordfish caponata, both very tasty.

28/02/2026: Saturday morning, family breakfast. We had a chocolate ravioli that we found a hair on and they replaced it without even a word of apology. We also had an empty croissant to which I added custard. The croissant was good, but the cream was completely collapsed and runny, and the croissant was also sent back. We also had two cannoli filled on the spot. The ricotta was very good, but the crust (even though it was homemade) was very hard. I don't know what happened to this pastry shop that was once the pride of the city. Everything we ordered was subpar. What a shame.

28/02/2026: For my eighteenth birthday, a unique and unrepeatable event, I requested a black and gold cake. On the pastry chef's advice, I agreed to make it DARK blue and GOLD, trusting their experience. When it was time to cut it, I was presented with a LIGHT BLUE and SILVER cake, completely different from what we'd agreed upon. The cake was a different color, a different style, a different concept. The writing was practically illegible and didn't even begin to reflect the requested style. The overall effect was far removed from what I'd ordered. It was embarrassing to cut a cake that didn't even begin to represent what I'd chosen for such an important evening. The next day, I called to speak to Mr. Brancato. I was told he wasn't available, so I informed the person who answered the phone. He apologized for the inconvenience and assured me he'd have Mr. Brancato call me back. Three days passed, and no one heard from me. No explanation, no formal apology, no proposal for a solution. Mistakes happen. A lack of professionalism in handling them, however, is a choice. For an important event, I recommend looking elsewhere, someone who knows how to listen to the client and respects the agreements made.

23/01/2026: A depressing carb desert: a dry, rubbery base that feels like pressed cardboard, topped with four obviously sad, pale chips and a sprinkling of pseudo-pistachio that doesn't save a senseless ensemble. The presentation is forgettable and the quality of the ingredients is embarrassing; calling this stuff 'food' is an act of extreme optimism.

25/11/2025: The owner was very hospitable. The food was great, the wine was nice, and we could sit outside. A very affordable and delicious experience.

21/12/2025: Everything was very disappointing. Yesterday we ordered two pizzoli to go, one with Swiss horse meat and fries, and the other Swiss chicken and fries, which they didn't put in the chicken one. They charged me 34.50, an absurd price. Empty pizzoli with 30 grams of meat inside and roasted chicken—truly absurd. Everything was shoddy. I won't be coming again...

11/10/2025: I went here in the quest of the best cannolo in Avola. This was not it - the texture of the filling was a bit off, and the cannolo had been pre-filled (which makes the crust a bit soggy and less crunchy). I also had a coffee granita which I did not like, as well as another pastry which was a bit bland. It was all takeaway. I suppose this is a good place for a quick coffee, but I wouldn't go again.

20/10/2025: Quick takeout lunch, found by chance while walking down the street. Decent food, good but nothing special. Staff not at all helpful. Bathrooms to be avoided.

23/11/2025: We were allowed to park our caravan on the grounds of Agriturismo Stallaini and stayed for two nights in this beautiful place! The world is still alright here! A paradise on earth! Dinner and breakfast made with homegrown organic ingredients. It doesn't get any better than this! 👌

12/09/2025: Beautiful place, nice nature and building. Very nice family that runs the place. The food was very average. The cooking class was extremely lacking, 50 euros per person which included a short walk in the garden, then making a type of pasta, cooking it and eating with the same menu as dinner the day before. Very lacking. Everything else was great and the staff were wonderful. The price for accommodation was also way too expensive for what was included. If you lower the prices a bit and improve the food it would be 5 stars.

18/10/2025: The pizza arrived with burnt edges, and to put it mildly, they were charcoal (too bad I can't add a photo to the review).

13/09/2025: I've never eaten anything so good. I ordered breaded swordfish with citrus fruits and caponata, which was truly delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was welcoming with a sea view. I give it the highest rating and absolutely recommend it.
