12/03/2025: We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, I don't understand it at all. The service was bored and disinterested; Sicilian specialties were basically out of stock. A wet plate with wet salt packets arrived at the table without comment, along with bread and half a bottle of oil. I would have liked to order olives and a piece of pecorino, as the bread was fresh and delicious. The waiter didn't even look at us, even though we were the only guests, along with two others. A simple insalata mista for €10 consisted of a shallow dessert plate, just as shallowly filled. On top, some iceberg lettuce and some radiccio. The main course, touristy calamari fritti, was OK, but overpriced for its quantity and simplicity. It's a shame; with more interest in the customer, some of these mistakes could have been overlooked. And we would have gladly paid extra for the dolce vita, if we had had the money!

19/08/2025: You’d be surprised that an apparent touristic restaurant facing the cathedral would have such simple ( in the best sense) and delicious food. Italians rarely get it wrong and our waiter Pablo made us feel quite welcome.

17/08/2025: A nightmare experience: kicked out to free up a table I've never written such a negative review, but the experience we had at this restaurant was nothing short of unacceptable. From the start, the service was rude and rushed, making us feel more like a nuisance than a customer. But the worst came at the end of the dinner. As we were finishing our last glass of wine and chatting, a waiter approached us and bluntly asked us to leave. The excuse? "We need the table for another group." It wasn't a polite request, but a full-blown eviction. We were shocked. Paying a hefty bill to be treated this way is simply unacceptable. It's clear that the management of this restaurant has no respect for their customers and is only interested in maximizing profits, treating people like numbers. I strongly advise against this place for anyone looking not only for good food but also for a modicum of decency and professional service. There are plenty of other restaurants in the city that are worth your time and money.

09/09/2025: We were delighted. Recommendations. The room was large, clean and tidy. The food was good. The staff was more than friendly. A wonderful place to relax for the soul and body.

02/09/2025: This review refers exclusively to the lack of customer service regarding cancellations – I did not visit the hotel myself. A deposit was required for my reservation. According to the booking confirmation and terms and conditions, cancellations up to 5 days before arrival are free of charge and the deposit will be refunded. The hotel does not adhere to this. Several emails remained unanswered, and I received no information on the phone or a call back. I have now been waiting for over 5 weeks for a refund of my deposit or at least a response.

30/05/2025: In una tranquilla strada nel dedalo di Ortigia, una fantastica esperienza da Kamel. Ottimo pesce servito, dall’antipasto ai secondi piatti, in porzioni generosissime e qualità eccellente. L’offerta dei vini è adeguata (spicca il vino prodotto dal calciatore Barzagli) e la simpatia impareggiabile della proprietaria completa la riuscita della serata dopo teatro. Da non perdere se venite a Siracusa

12/07/2025: To forget. I booked a banquet for 50 people well in advance, choosing it specifically for the beauty of the exterior. Three days before the event, I was moved to another area of the villa due to the addition of other guests to another event on the same day. I accepted, understanding the situation. The very morning of my event, I received a call to inform me that over 100 people had been added to the other event and that I would no longer be able to use the exterior. This forced me to move entirely to a venue with no exterior and completely different from the vision I had envisioned for my event, which had been organized down to the last detail. You can imagine the stress, anger, and frustration I faced on a day that was supposed to be one of celebration and serenity. I've never seen or heard anyone tell me they had to change venues or even days (because I was even advised to change days, but the reason was my own, not theirs!), despite booking well in advance, giving priority to another event with more people, and completely ignoring the requests we had agreed upon from the start. Moral of the story: at 1:00 PM that same day, I had to completely reorganize an event elsewhere.

18/07/2025: Quiet, located close to our hotel, so it's a good spot for breakfast. The pizza breads were very soft and easy to eat in the morning.

17/04/2025: Un posto raccomandato. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. Bel posto, pulito e piacevole. Qui si sente la gentilezza appena entri. Torneremo sicuramente quando siamo in zona.

19/08/2025: Our go-to place when we come to Sicily... to enjoy excellent fritto misto and delicious gluten-free pizza (for me, a celiac, it's a given!!) You can eat both inside and outside, surrounded by the beauty and warmth of Avola's piazza! It's always best to call to reserve a table. Friendly and professional service. 18/08/2025: After ordering and waiting for about an hour, they informed me that the dishes I had chosen were unavailable. A ruined evening.

24/08/2025: Very disappointed. We sat down and the place wasn't crowded. They gave us a table, which they set up with glasses and cutlery only after bringing water and cola. After a very long wait, only my boyfriend's pizza arrived. Mine didn't arrive, so we asked what had happened... it had been forgotten. The quality of the food wasn't great; the pizzas were small and had very few toppings, but above all, they were expensive. The guy taking our order talked to us as if we'd known each other forever. I don't recommend it. It's a shame because the location is beautiful and so is the point.

19/08/2025: Campsite difficult to reach with a camper. Beautiful, well-maintained/shaded pitches, and a lovely beach location. The positives end here: - bathroom block with 3 out of 6 working toilets - in the evening, you can't wash dishes due to lack of light - unreasonable price (for 5 of us, it was €67 per day) for the service offered It may be a coincidence, but in the middle of August, the campsite was practically deserted…

15/08/2025: 1 STAR EVEN THOUGH THE VILLAGE IS NICE, WITH WELL-DEGREEING SPACES, GREEN LANDSCAPE, AND A BEACH NOT FAR FROM THE SEA IF YOU STAY ON THE LOWER PITCHES, BUT THAT'S NOT REASON FOR THE 1-STAR RATE. I give it 1 star because for two people, from 6:00 PM until 12:00 PM the next day (because after that, there would have been a half-day charge), so for 18 HOURS, I paid €40 (CASH ONLY IN 2025) for a place to pitch my tent. The bathrooms weren't very clean, and many were closed because they were broken. The neon light above the tent site was broken. And, above all, I was treated at the end of my stay like someone trying to steal a share of my share, because the owner understood this and allowed himself to be so. If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be to hire someone to take care of the place and the guests. Gone, but never again.

04/08/2025: The food is good, but if you're very hungry and like to eat a lot, this isn't the place to go – the portions are average. The waiters are nice.

16/08/2025: The pizzas were good. The service, unfortunately, was not (the staff were exclusively teenagers). Then came the big downside: we wanted to pay (€30), but didn't get a change (€70). The guys just kept serving us. Even after repeated requests, nothing happened. We noticed that an Italian at the next table had the same problem and was already complaining loudly. Still, no response. I went in and fussed until I finally got my money. The unfriendly owner spent ages searching through the cash register until she finally found a few bills. The restaurant was extremely poorly prepared.

01/07/2025: Notice to the new owners/managers that the sliding door of the bar makes noise 24 hours a day especially at night!! because it opens and closes by itself even with the shutter down, it must be blocked before closing as they did before.

09/04/2025: Bar with a metropolitan concept in Syracuse, well-stocked, always follows the periods with themed arrangements that make the layout of the place particular. Inside, professional and kind staff manage the products at the counter, which on average appear to have a good culinary appearance, recommended

17/08/2025: I recommend improving everything: approach, politeness, atmosphere, and fixing the air conditioning! Why do you charge for service and cover charge? A rip-off! The air conditioning is broken, and the cover charge doesn't exist unless you count paper napkins (which you MUST ask for because they're not available), plastic cups, and no cutlery! So the cover charge is a rip-off! They fail to understand that sandwiches should be chosen at the counter and seen live.

16/08/2025: Embarrassing situation. Rude, aggressive, and ill-mannered. Discrimination against older people and small children with strollers. They don't understand the meaning of politeness, courtesy, and kindness. Avoid at all costs.
