19/08/2024: The classic brioches for the granita are not bad, the almond granita is decidedly "watered down", so the flavor of the almonds is barely noticeable. The ricotta puff pastry is good. Expensive prices: €10 for two almond granitas, two brioches and a ricotta puff pastry.

04/11/2023: Great location for an incredible Sicilian meal. A cavelike restaurant with many tables it service which is second to none. Excellent wine choices with local wines front and centre. The antipasto Rustico is full of beautiful bites of loveliness (even without the meat). The pasta course of a special with greens is unbelievably lovely. The pistachio crusted tuna tasted divine. This is cooking by a real nonna and her team.

I spread a merciful veil over the cocktails served...

14/08/2024: My aunt has lived in Ortigia for 30 years (catarina) I haven't been there for 10 years and she tells me to "go buy ice cubes at GUSTO" it's 8 p.m., I expect an ordinary welcome but I am received as a kings! I am guided towards what I am looking for with kindness. Plus, the price is totally reasonable. Thanks to the traders. Long live GUSTO. See you soon!

23/07/2024: Very disappointed by the advice of the cold meats and cheese seller, I knew exactly what I wanted, and the seller sold me very very salty pecorino instead of peppered pecorino, which is exactly what I had asked for, making sure the pepper was inside!! I trusted him, I was wrong but I find it unacceptable to make fun of tourists who want to taste Sicilian products and who make the effort to speak Italian!

21/07/2024: The lady and her husband have a unique kindness and spontaneity, you feel and eat like at grandma's house ❤️ the lady made us find the pork sauce as requested on the phone yesterday, delicious, like everything else. All prepared and served with care and love. Always a guarantee to come back here, see you again very soon!

14/07/2024: The place was infinitely sad, absurdly hot, it was hotter inside than outside at 37 degrees. Poor food and school canteen menu. We asked for a platter of cold cuts and cheeses but instead he brought us a tray with 4 triangles of mortadella, 4 slices of cheese, 4 olives, 4 slices of salami, a madness of €35. Then we had 1 first course, 1 slice of chicken, 1 cutlet and 3 chips, water, 2 cans of coke and 1 beer, €100 if you then consider the cover charge consisting of a piece of paper towel, paper napkins and not even changing your cutlery, €2. Conclusion a total disappointment

06/08/2024: While walking with friends we decided to enter this place given the beautiful location in which it is located. In fact the location is the only good thing about the place. Staff: very rude. (Madam, calm down, tourists bring you money). Almond granita: too sweet (cloying), pieces of ice present and very distant almond flavour. (totally to be reviewed). Brioche: dry and most likely from the previous day, since I went in the morning. I was expecting something soft and fragrant. Average prices for the course. A tourist-catching place that only has to thank for its location and the beautiful setting of Noto. Definitely not recommended. Attention.

13/08/2024: Good dishes especially the roast fish and the seafood appetizer. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The first with prawns and cherry tomatoes arrived with frozen prawns and not fresh ones as per the menu. The fried shrimp and calamari came with calamari and sardines. I asked the waitress twice for an explanation and she didn't give me an answer. I asked at the cash register and only after checking in the kitchen did they tell me that the prawns were finished. Little seriousness towards the customer.

10/08/2024: We ate some very good and very seasoned pizzas. Fast and prompt service, typical and very pleasant place.

27/08/2024: Terrible experience, I will definitely not return. Waiters who don't understand Italian, we asked for a selection of starters and they told us that none of the ten dishes were available like much of the rest of the menu we requested, terrible food, mussels arrived at the table completely frozen, raw pizzas, inedible gluten-free pizza, upon requesting coffee we were told that the machine had already been turned off (we were still sitting at the table), rude owners, etc. Once at the checkout we pointed out the shortcomings of the service and the response was "you shouldn't have come for the second shift" when on the phone at the time of booking we had been given availability for the 9.30pm shift to which we arrived on time and after pointing out the criticism to the owner we found ourselves faced with an embarrassing situation because a boy in our group was attacked and threatened by the owner.

02/08/2024: Attività come queste non dovrebbero stare in commercio. Tutti i cibi erano del giorno prima e, dopo averglielo fatto presente, mi é stato detto che era possibile avere degli arancini freschi. Li ho appena provati e sono stati fritti nuovamente… pertanto sono pieni di olio. Sconsigliato!!!
