14/01/2026: I ordered grilled calamari, and I noticed the last one still had the spine in it. Nothing was good. I hate to write a negative review because the staff were kind and tried their best despite their age.

10/01/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while on a motorcycle trip. The food was fresh and excellent, with impeccable service and a friendly staff. Highly recommended.

21/10/2025: High-quality pizzolo, with quality ingredients and dough. The filancino is also excellent and soft. Prices are average, and the staff is a bit tart. It's a shame about the location; it's difficult to find, hidden in the countryside between Solarino and Sortino. But it's worth it!

06/09/2025: We were there at the end of August and were greeted very warmly by friendly and helpful staff. Prices were in line with the area. The beach is well-kept and clean, with clean bathrooms and spacious changing rooms. The only downside is the 20% surcharge for sitting down, so we chose to eat under the umbrella. The sandwiches and salads were good, although not exactly cheap.

28/10/2025: The place was recommended for good, local sea food! It worthy to eat there! Menu is simple and every dish worth to order!

17/09/2025: The menu was very limited, with few dishes to choose from; the marinara risotto also required advance reservations. The seafood spaghetti consisted only of mussels and clams. At 9:30 PM on a Saturday, when we asked for spaghetti with clams, we were told they only had a few and it was better to choose the marinara spaghetti I mentioned above. The mixed fried fish was all fish; they didn't have scampi, calamari, or even shrimp or prawns. The prices for the few dishes available were also quite high; spaghetti with (a few) clams was €22!! Maybe we were unlucky, but we're unlikely to return.

03/02/2026: It's clear that the property was acquired by new management a few months ago and needs a lot of updating (the old management was running it into disrepair). The spa is large and comfortable, dinner was fine, international breakfast was fine, rooms were large and comfortable, and heating was fine (some on the ground floor need to address some deficiencies). There's plenty of greenery for pleasant walks, the structure has an ancient and modern style (it was, in fact, a monastery), and the staff was fine. Recommended. If you book with a coupon, the price is currently excellent. At the price of a full 4-star hotel, I'd say no until they address some of the shortcomings left by the old management.

01/12/2025: Passing through Syracuse, I was looking for a quick dinner. I was delighted by the Siracusan breadcrumbs prepared by Il Trancio and the friendly staff. The menu is extensive, catering to all budgets and appetites. I'm sure it's very popular in the area. In the few minutes I was there, I also noticed a good deal of laughter over the food delivery service. It's definitely a must-visit for foodies and those looking to spend an evening with friends enjoying a delicious meal.

30/11/2025: We had a wonderful meal at FOC tonight. We walked by from our hotel, which is just 50 meters from the restaurant, and the atmosphere was truly captivating. We received a very friendly welcome, after which we were given an explanation of the menu and the special dishes of the day. First, we chose a delicious Italian red wine and then enjoyed various fish and meat dishes. Everything was delicious. We concluded the evening with a delicious cup of coffee and limoncello, along with a delicious crème brûlée on the house. Thanks again for that. It was a wonderful evening and highly recommended if you enjoy good food, sharing dishes, and cozy gatherings. We had a wonderful time at FOC. We walked from our hotel, just 50 meters from the restaurant, and the atmosphere was truly suggestive.
