09/09/2025: We had a great evening celebrating my birthday. The staff is really kind and helpful, the food is delicious and the scenery is very peaceful and romantic. We ended a great night with a cocktail at their viewing point, 3 minutes walk from the terrace.

26/08/2025: We had the great pleasure of dining at Ristorante Codarossa, and it was an absolutely wonderful evening. The food was simply delicious from start to finish – finely balanced flavors, beautifully presented, and of the highest quality. Every course was a delight and delighted us. The service also deserves special praise: attentive, warm, and professional, without ever being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and completely at ease. An unforgettable culinary experience that we highly recommend. A huge compliment to the entire team – we're already looking forward to our next visit!

05/09/2025: The place is pleasant and well-stocked. I really like that they have two counters, one for drinks and one for snacks. Lea, Eva, and Simone (and the other staff, whose names I don't know) are very friendly. Congratulations!

06/09/2025: We were there at the end of August and were greeted very politely, with friendly and helpful staff. Prices were in line with the area. The beach is well-kept and clean, with clean bathrooms and spacious changing rooms. The only downside is the 20% surcharge for sitting down, so we chose to eat under the umbrella. The sandwiches and salads were good, though not exactly cheap.

17/10/2025: It's very much a venue for parties (I.e. birthdays, special occasions etc.) and not a place for which individuals would be adequately looked after. In our experience, not our idea of relaxed dining (on our third visit within a week we were given a table in a corridor where party guests were walking in and out constantly, while (presumably) the lady owner/manager of this place was loudly bartering prices with local punters for future party bookings).

08/10/2025: Food? Fantastic! Staff? Friendly and courteous! You have to slow down your expectations of speed to really enjoy eating out in Sicily.

31/10/2025: I regret having to write this review because the waiter served us very well, but today my mother and I went for breakfast and when it came time to pay, the man was incredibly rude to us simply for wanting to pay by card. This is the first time this has happened to me in all of Avola, and it's a shame that such a lovely place is ruined by someone who is always in a bad mood and treats customers poorly.

12/10/2025: We come here every day to buy baked goods during our vacation. So far, we've enjoyed everything, and we think the prices are perfectly reasonable. The staff is always friendly, even when we have to communicate with each other using gestures. We don't understand all the bad reviews. We love coming here; my daughter is always happy when they offer a croissant with pistachio cream!

09/09/2025: Poor quality breads. Personally, I don't like breads and loaves that are slightly sweet.

25/10/2025: It's a typical Italian bar/café. Due to its location the prices are on the higher end. We should have checked the menu before ordering, 8 Euro for a big draft beer is a little too much, even for a tourist hotspot.

27/10/2025: Excellent butcher shop, very kind staff, prepared to your needs, you can also find meat preparations, bread and vacuum service, years of experience at your disposal, I repeat the meat was delicious, aged to the right point, for my needs.. thanks Benny

12/08/2025: The greatest and most authentic way to experience traditional Sicilian cuisine in Syracuse. This place is a true treasure for meat lovers — from exceptional local specialties to rare cuts you won’t easily find elsewhere. Every bite bursts with flavor and freshness. What makes it even better: almost no tourists. It’s a favorite among locals who know where the real quality is. The location is tucked away, almost secret, and you probably wouldn’t stumble upon it without a tip from someone in the know. I enjoyed a unique salad, a perfectly cooked gourmet burger, and one of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had — every dish was unforgettable. Prices are fair for the quality, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the open kitchen-meets-butcher’s shop vibe makes it all the more authentic. Not for vegetarians — this is pure, unashamed paradise for carnivores. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

19/10/2025: If you eat a sandwich, two meat dishes, obviously the amount of a sandwich without the bread, plus two extras, a Coke and a small bottle of water, €27. It's not even worth a second course from a Michelin-starred restaurant. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED ON THE PRICE.

01/09/2025: Dinner in a secluded and very romantic corner of a small square in Ortigia. Dishes cooked with love and generous portions, delicious octopus! The owner is friendly and kind. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

15/08/2025: Too bad! A very nice and quiet place found via The Fork. Tables under a 14th-century building. The food, however, was nothing special: The grilled octopus was chewy, and the pasta with pistachios and shrimp lacked flavor. The guy who served us was nice and kind. I hope they can improve; the place has great potential!

29/09/2025: We stopped for dinner! Excellent caponata and gluten-free focaccia paired with a nice glass of Nero d'Avola! Everything was delicious at a more than fair price! See you next time!
