18/08/2026: Unfortunately, it was a disappointment: the place was run-down, the food was poor and of poor quality, and the waiters were foreign and didn't even speak Italian very well. Frozen fish and overcooked pasta.

11/08/2026: Ladies and gentlemen, this restaurant is the absolute culinary pinnacle of Ortigia. Everything you could ever want from Sicilian and Mediterranean cuisine is here! And it's at its finest! The mussel soup, Syracusan spaghetti, and octopus pasta are all delicious. The prices are incredibly affordable, and the staff go above and beyond. I highly recommend it!

01/08/2026: One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Ordering pizzas and finding yourself with a box full of leftover crusts is embarrassing. We paid for a pizza, not a collection of crusts!!! They were cold, and the cheese was now solid and rubbery instead of stringy, and the dough had completely lost its flavor. The toppings were thrown on top haphazardly: pieces of ham thrown randomly, tuna piled in blocks, roughly chopped onions, potatoes (old ones, too) scattered here and there as if they'd been thrown. They were products made in a hurry and with no regard for the customer. The dough, being almost entirely crust, was dry and heavy to eat. Add to that the fact that it was completely cold, and the result was truly disappointing. Paying for pizzas and receiving practically nothing but crust, cold and presented in this state, is a disrespect to the person ordering. From a pizzeria, you expect quality, attention, and a minimum of care, not a box that looks like it was assembled from leftovers. If this is the quality they serve, it's hard to imagine returning. There are plenty of pizzerias that, for the same price, offer hot pizzas, well-topped, and above all, with a center worthy of being called pizza. This, unfortunately, was one of the worst disappointments I've ever had.

20/07/2026: The pizza arrived 30 minutes late. But that's not the problem; it happens. Too bad the diavola was literally inedible! So spicy it was impossible to bite into. I usually eat spicy food, so I'm "used to it," but this was made completely haphazardly, by a blind pizza chef. The tomato sauce was very sour, and subpar. I don't recommend it!

16/08/2026: The food is fantastic.You eat real sicilian food here and big portions.I come to sicily every year and it is not easy now a days to find a restaurant that cooks real sicilian food .The owner is sweet and kind and the staff is attentive .In the square there is a nice atmosphire with a singer that sings itaian songs where people can dance and enjoy some entertainment.I recommend this place for me is a 10/10 .

16/08/2026: We ate in the square in front of the pizzeria, where it was busy. The pizza was fine, but not outstanding. It was a shame about the plastic cups and the poor cutlery. The service was friendly and fast. Despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait long for our food.

28/03/2026: I went for pizza. There were eight of us, and it took 10 minutes to bring everyone a pizza. I even asked for the first pizza to be reheated because it was cold. The price was incredibly high, almost €20 for a poor-quality pizza, like a frozen supermarket pizza. It was freezing. Only the waiter was friendly. I won't be back.

26/05/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, but we're grateful for the opportunity! The two brothers who served us are wonderful people, highly experienced and professional, and treated us with great courtesy. We ate wonderfully: excellent caponata, spaghetti allo scoglio, delicious tuna, good bread, and good wine. We tried the muddica pizza, which was also very good! And to finish, an excellent amaro made by the chef, delicious! We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it. It's a top-quality restaurant, serving the freshest fish, and featuring truly traditional, home-cooked cuisine.

21/05/2026: The professor advises you on what to eat fresh. Delicious dishes cooked according to grandma's recipes, including excellent spaghetti with squid ink. You'll feel like you're at your grandparents' house.

02/07/2026: I highly recommend Barcollo. It is a very modern and “elegant” cocktail bar in Ortigia with lots of seating options. The cocktail menu was also good and prices were okay. You can enjoy your drinks until late hours and the staff is also very kind. We also had a birthday celebration and they helped us organize a small surprise.

25/06/2026: The dishes were all very good, but the wait between the main course and dessert was really long, about an hour, even though there were few people there. Bread was served automatically, but you had to pay for it.

23/07/2026: In my opinion, the gelato is nothing special and not even close to what I've tasted at other artisanal gelato shops. The ricotta flavor is completely tasteless, the dark chocolate is good, but has an artificial aftertaste. Aside from the gelato itself, which is subjectively one's taste, there's no arguing the prices are outrageous. €3 for a small cup, without even a wafer, with a €0.50 surcharge for cream (spray, no less) and an additional €1 surcharge for the gourmet flavors (pistachio, dark chocolate, and many others, obviously more popular)... In the end, you end up paying €4.50 for a small cup!

23/11/2025: We had a family gathering for lunch, and a local relative decided to choose this restaurant. Very good, with generous portions. The ricotta is homemade, so you can taste it's truly artisanal. Highly recommended.

02/02/2026: I'm sorry to have to leave a bad review. I ordered a gluten-free birthday cake. They offered me a semifreddo cake instead of the traditional one. I accepted and ordered. On February 1, 2026, I went to the restaurant to pick up the cake, and out of concern, since my son, who is celiac (he's the birthday boy), was supposed to eat it, I asked again: "Is the cake gluten-free?" Initially, they told me I hadn't mentioned it when ordering. So, I pointed out that I have the chats that prove it, and at this point, the mistake was admitted. Now, I consider this extremely serious because if I hadn't asked for it out of concern, I would have taken the cake, paid for it, and my son would have eaten it. But what makes me most angry is the very crude apology, when in reality the matter is extremely serious. I paid for the cake, but honestly, I shouldn't have paid for it or even taken it back, but to add insult to injury, not even the birthday boy's name was correct. When you order gluten-free, you shouldn't be distracted because my son's health would have been affected, and that's very serious.

17/08/2026: Last night I went to this bar and the service was poor. They served us a still-frozen chocolate soufflé that we didn't even eat. On top of that, they charged us €22. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!
