Located on the very central Matteotti Avenue, Viola is a little coffee house and ice cream parlour. I tried only the ice cream, so my review is limited only to that product. The choice of flavours is ample enough and covers all what you expect from a Sicilian ice cream maker. The quality of the ice cream is good, even if I wouldn't rate at the very top: a slightly stronger character would be much more welcome! Service is OK

We had ice cream at this bar; the quality was good, and the prices were reasonable considering the location. It's always quite crowded, so it's not the best place if you're looking for a quiet spot, but otherwise, everything was fine.

Excellent gelato, but we have had better in Northern Italy. We had a cup with 3 flavors: pistachios, hazelnut and strawberry.

19/12/2025: The exceptional kindness of the girl at the counter, the central location, and the deliciousness of the rotisserie have quickly made it our favorite diner in Avola. Not to mention the very fair prices, which never hurts. Keep up the good work! We've already recommended you to friends and family, and we'll be back during the holidays for scacce and other treats. 30/09/2025: Had some chicken and it was a go to for locals and tourists like me. Very simple, moist and hit the mark. Was sold out in the first instance so they are clearly very good or do not cater for enough traffic (even though the place is sleepy )
09/09/2025: We had a wonderful experience here! The staff brought the chicken to our table and prepared everything for us outside—such kind and thoughtful service. Everything was done with a smile, and we felt truly welcomed. With Google Translate and a few gestures, we got by just fine.
