16/08/2024: Terrible experience! Rudeness and no professionalism. We went for lunch and ordered two fried dishes, a cacio e pepe and a calzone. The fried foods arrive first, nothing special, but hot and delicious. Then comes the calzone and the cacio e pepe pasta. Just looking at the pasta reminded you of the hospital. First of all, trofie pasta shape, which has nothing to do with cacio e pepe. We decide to try it anyway, and oh well it made me vomit, basically pasta and butter even without pepper. At that point I call the waitress and tell her that that pasta cannot be eaten and I wonder if it was cooked in the microwave. The girl, with zero professionalism in handling the complaint, takes this dish away. After speaking with one of his superiors, I suppose, he comes back telling us that their cacio e pepe is like this, but that they still take it away from us and if we want we can get something else. Obviously we thank you, but let's avoid taking anything else. We go to the cashier, they make us pay and from the receipt we realize that we also paid for the cacio e pepe, so we point out the mistake. With very, very rudeness, the guy at the cash register tells us that it's not his problem if we didn't like it and that he would have canceled it only if we had ordered something else... we tried to make him understand that it doesn't work like that and that he was treating us well. He rudely continued to maintain that he was right and another boy joined him. At that point we left, saying that we should have called finance but we preferred to avoid it. I REPEAT, BAD EXPERIENCE!

30/08/2024: The food, wine and service were all phenomenal in this restaurant tucked away in a quiet and romantic courtyard. Sisters Sarah and Jaqueline are a power house running this restaurant. We knew it was going to be a great night and that we were in good hands by the way Sarah greeted us. The hospitality is over the top, as if all customers are family. Sarah was passionate in how she described the specials. Bringing a tray of the freshly caught fish was a treat. The chefs are skilled at preparing the fish you choose in a number of different ways. My husband enjoys fine wine and Sarah had wonderful expertise in knowing which Sicilian wines would best accompany what we ordered. A personal favorite was the pasta with Rock Lobster and Sea Bass with vegetables. As an American I personally appreciated that they did not drag out our dinner for hours and hours. The two young men who quietly shuttled dishes from the kitchen and discreetly cleared tables were a delight. We will be back.

26/08/2024: Very high prices, know this before you go. Having said this premise, a totally different level. If you want to make an investment, do it. The fantastic raw fish as well as the seafood salad that you will hardly find so fresh and with real flavours.

03/08/2024: Poesia e autenticità a tavola. Prodotti genuini del territorio e del proprio orto " 5 Stars" che mandano in estasi il visitatore. Se passate nella Sicia Nord Orientale, non potete non effettuare una sosta gastronomica e godere di questi sapori e prelibatezze.

Prodotti a km 0 e cucinati nel modo migliore per esaltarne le qualità. Cortesia e simpatia di chi ci ha servito! Unica nota per chi non è della zona NON FIDATEVI DI GOOGLE MAPS. Ti porta in una strada strettissima, ma se chiamate il ristorante sanno darvi tutte le indicazioni.

18/06/2024: Tutto buono vero panificio, completo di tutto, dai pasticcini alle pizzette e calzoncini fritti con verdure, Arancini soliti Siciliani Eccellenti,personale affabile e gentilissimo così come il proprietario che dagli occhi emana bontà e abnegazione per il lavoro. Bibite in frigo..

20/05/2024: Trovato casualmente una serata infrasettimanale( non potevamo non ritornare al rientro dalle Eolie). Qualità eccellente, arancini i migliori assaggiati in Sicilia ( e ne abbiamo mangiati ovunque), Pidoni e pizza non da meno. Prezzi più che onesti! Impagabile la gentilezza ! CONSIGLIATISSIMO! A Bergamo ce ne ricorderemo !

03/08/2024: I Fiori del Sale, for ice cream lovers like me, is one of the best ice cream shops in Lipari! I have to try the granitas since I haven't had the chance to taste them!

10/08/2024: We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of four. This is a wonderfully located and truly relaxing resort. We were greeted at the gates (after a very easy transfer from the ferry port) by the wonderful Maria who gave us a superb tour of the resort and was continually helpful, attentive and charming throughout our stay. She is an absolute star here and helped organise and recommend loads of activities including a private boat trip to the neighbouring islands, diving and a hiking tour of the volcnano crater (led by the fantastic Santi - I’d definitely check this one out). The location is stunning with great view of the Faraglioni rocks and the coast of Lipari. At sunset this has to be one of the best views of any sunset in the Mediterranean and I never tired of watching the sun dip beneath the sea with a smear of orange and gold. The cactus gardens and grounds are also beautifully kept and the pool and public area of the hotel are clean and luxurious. The staff with just one exception were really wonderful and we felt welcomed and looked after in the numerous restaurants and bars. Special shout out to Michaela and Lamin for making us feel at home and welcome. Our only bad experience was at breakfast one morning where the staff member was rude, abrupt and just got our order almost entirely wrong and then lied when we asked for it to be fixed. It shows how just one bad staff member can taint a hotel but we let the team know and I hope they deal with it. We had rooms 126 and 127 and they both had fabulous views and were well appointed. Housekeeping were excellent here - super helpful and polite and the rooms were always restocked and immaculately cleaned. The mini bar, espresso coffee and lots of water are included in the room which is a nice touch especially when you consider some of the highish prices around the resort. On that note, we thought the resort offered fair value given the quality and service although €18 for a single glass of white wine is a little steep maybe. They are also multiple restaurants here to choose from and we ate at them all, from both 1 star Michelin restaurants, the restaurant by the pool and the excellent pizza restaurant. We had good meals everywhere and I even had a Pizza tasting menu which was a great first for me. I’ve left separate restaurant reviews where appropriate. The gym and spa were also very well equipped and spacious and had good air con throughout. We enjoyed using these facilities a lot. Also make sure you walk down to the sea entry point - it is very well designed, has a lifeguard and the water is clear, cool and beautiful. The resort also runs a regular shuttle service to the town which is helpful and a great way to visit the beaches and local shops and restaurants. A few small points which perhaps need addressing at a 5 star level. Room 127 had an almost unworkably small bathroom where the door closed onto the toilet and it was a squeeze for two people to use. This was a feature of the 2 level room design and was offset by the amazing room itself and huge balcony. The price for drinks in most places was at the top end but then the service and quality was excellent. There were always good sunbeds (lovely double ones) by the pool but we were occasionally denied more than 2 towels despite there being 4 of us which confused me. And maybe breakfast could do with a few more options but that is being quite picky but the choice is a little below other 5 star hotels we have stayed at. Overall we had a fabulous time at the resort and would definitely recommend it.

17/08/2024: Very good service and organisation, but the pizza was embarrassing starting from the dough which looks like a biscuit and ending with the truly inadequate toppings, I was extremely disappointed!!

21/08/2024: In my opinion one of the best ice cream shops in the world. Any flavor is worth trying. We ordered lemon and chocolate granita with cream. Exquisite!
