17/06/2025: Almost a week ago I ordered a 1 kg cake in the Terranova pastry shop in Provinciale di Messina, it's a pastry shop, it's not a laboratory, but... I order by phone towards the afternoon, I had to get the cake the next day around 10:00 am: 00. It had to be with rum syrup, custard and wild strawberries, with the writing in the center of the greetings, at the top edges of the cake some red roses made of cream, all spinning as far as the edge is, the owner says that they would come fuchsia but what could be done, and then on the sides of the cake at the bottom chopped pistachios. I go the next day to pick up the cake, a little early, at 09:00 and the cake wasn't ready and he says to come back at 10:00, I leave and then come back at 10:00, and then you do the last minute cake? An hour before delivery? Who then doesn't even have time to rest the cake in the fridge. Oh well, they take the cake and close it immediately. We ask if we can see it, and I immediately notice that there are no roses made of cream, but 4 small roses in number and very small ones made of wafer. I am a little confused, he closed it immediately, and my mother pays and they make her pay 1 € more because there is a layer of chopped pistachios at the edges. Leaving the pastry shop, we look at the cake, and I realize that the shock is over, I don't like it at all, the writing was huge just to take up space, decoration with minimal cream, I talk to my mother and tell her to come back to make us improve this cake , she didn't like it either, it's just that she mortifies herself in these situations and didn't want to feel embarrassed. So in order not to make my mother feel bad, I don't go back to the pastry shop and we go to buy the food coloring and cream, I said I'll do the decoration, even if I don't do it in a beautiful way, because I'm not a pastry chef, but worse than how the pastry shop made it can't come. At home I decorate the cake by making colored cream roses, it had a few defects, but all in all it wasn't bad, at least the cake had color and thickness, then I see where they put the pistachio grain to go around the side edges, there was no cream, they directly put the sprinkles attached to the wet sponge cake, the cream was only on top of the cake. And something like this is already absurd. While tasting the cake, I saw that the custard was very white, so there wasn't even half an egg in the cream, and it couldn't be called custard, and then it had no flavour, at least there were a few strawberries, then it soaked it up. to the rum, it wasn't wet, they poured the pure rum directly into the sponge cake, and you could only taste Rum, no other flavor could be distinguished (so as not to taste the horrible cream, but you could still understand that it was horrible) as much as I like Rum in desserts, it was really an exaggerated flavor, it seemed like you were drinking the bitter rum directly in the glass. Not to mention the central writing, which I left, but it was very ugly, not a pastry chef's handwriting, and also very gigantic. You can't present a cake like that, I didn't even take photos of the cake, I didn't even take a photo of how bad it was, I took it home and added a little cream and modified it, and I didn't get anything, because in fact I'm not pastry chef, but it was more beautiful to look at, more colourful, and with more depth, and with roses made with cream even if not perfect, and only then did I take the photos to have a memory of the cake, because you couldn't look at it that way , let alone the photo. This is disrespectful to customers. I wanted to avoid causing discomfort to my mother and therefore I didn't tell you anything, but no one can take away a truthful and sincere review like this one from me. I will never go to Terranova again, it was the first time I ordered a cake. When I ordered cakes in other pastry shops I had never been delivered such an ugly cake lacking ingredients. By behaving like this with people, they only lose customers, because then people don't go there anymore. A DELUSION.

02/06/2025: A truly fantastic pastry shop! Everything is delicious, but the cannoli are something spectacular, the best we have ever eaten! Crispy to perfection and with an addictive cream. The staff is also super kind and helpful, we immediately felt at home. In short, a must-see for those who love desserts made properly!

23/07/2025: I went there for dinner with my girlfriend, but unfortunately her starter and her first course arrived at the same time. I then had to wait half an hour for my first course, which was also cold. When I sent the skewers back, I asked for the bill. The manager came over with the menu and asked if we would like dessert. I assumed it was on the house, so we had one and two espressos. After asking twice for the bill, it finally arrived, but to my disappointment, it said the whole thing was on it. The food was good apart from the cold dish, but the manager was very polite.

Ready-made products you can find: Pitoni (stuffed calzone) fried or baked Stuffed baked calzones Pizzette Mozzarella in carrozza Arancini with ragù, speck and pistachio and others. In addition, in the evening they also make classic pizzas or in pala. The pizzas are very good, normal size, abundant toppings, normal prices. You can book them for takeaway by calling them and they are punctual at the agreed time for collection. There is no parking in front of the place but you can use the large space on the other side of the street where there is the distributor. Don't look at the opening hours on Google Maps, they are never respected. It is difficult to find them open before 6 pm in the afternoon.

04/06/2025: La prima volta che visito questo locale, ed a dire il vero ero pure scettico, il posto è molto appartato, in una strada dove prevalentemente ci sono attività metalmeccaniche. in ogni caso il locale appare come una oasi nel deserto, il cibo è ottimo soprattutto antipasti (legati alla tradizione) e secondi di pesce, ho visto nei tavoli accanto che fanno anche le pizze ed con tutta sincerità avevano anche un buon aspetto. consiglio per chi non lo conosca di andarci

The wine is excellent and served with great care. The service is truly efficient, the place is quiet, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The quality/quantity/price ratio is very good considering the island's standards. The next day I met the owner, Mr. Nino, on the shoreline waiting for the local fishermen to land, ready to grab the best catch! Calling it a "trattoria" is an understatement! Rating: 10! Highly recommended!!!

04/08/2025: Siamo stati a cena 4 adulti e 2 bambini. Siamo stati benissimo, non avevamo prenotato ma nonostante ciò ci hanno trovato un tavolo e ci hanno servito subito. Gli spaghetti alla pescatora e gli involtini di pesce spada alla griglia erano buonissimi, li hanno mangiati anche i miei bambini di 5 e 7 anni. Attenzione alla pepata di cozze, se non gradite il peperoncino, ditelo!!Lo consiglio ci tornerò!!

06/07/2025: luogo incantevole in mezzo ad alberi da frutto e fiori, menù tutto ottimo(30€):abbiamo scelto quello con antipasti,primi e secondo e date le grandi quantità purtroppo abbiamo avanzato qualcosa. Numerosi antipasti uno più buono dell' altro,primi di pasta fantastici e grigliata mista di carne finale. Tutto fatto in casa, semplicemente tutto buonissimo. personale molto gentile!!

12/07/2025: Torno da una serata trascorsa in questo locale, invitata da amici per assaggiare la loro pizza. Partita titubante in quanto non conoscevo il locale ma solo la nomea di un buon ristorante per funghi porcini, mi sono dovuta ricredere quando mi sono trovata, seppur in un ambiente grande e spartano, in una atmosfera accogliente e familiare. Il top è arrivato quando sono arrivate le pizze che si sono presentate subito con un aspetto invitante, a dispetto delle ormai modaiale pizze contemporanee, un impasto classico ma di quello fatto a regola d'arte. Un plauso va al giovane pizzaiolo pieno di passione e professionalità ed a tutta la sua famiglia che lavora con massimo rispetto per il cliente. Tornerò sicuramente e spero che manteniate sempre questo ottimo livello.

Abbiamo pernottato una notte, le camere erano pulite fornite di ogni confort, ma la chicca è la gentilezza e la premura della signora Angela nell’accoglierci soddisfacendo tutte le nostre richieste. Che dire del pranzo? SPETTACOLARE !!! Posto consigliato per chi ama rilassarsi circondato dalla natura

30/07/2025: Questo posto in centro di Taormina è magico musica dal vivo , lo staff accogliente e mangiate davvero tipico e di ottima qualità. Tornerò sicuramente perché ci hanno trattato davvero benissimo e abbiamo mangiato divinamente
