02/11/2025: This café is located in the heart of Catania. The pistachio croissants are delicious, and the Cipollina is excellent. The only downside is the service—chaos and long waits, but that's standard here.

12/11/2025: WHEN THE APPRENTICE OUTSTANDS THE MASTER I was craving a pizza capricciosa (a typical Italian pizza) and decided to stop by Benfatto. To my surprise, I found Riccardo overseeing the pizza preparation (he's usually busy in the sandwich department). Well, what can I say... when they say the apprentice outshines the master! The pizza was truly delicious, well-topped, and above all, meticulously crafted, from the baking to the light dough. Kudos to the entire Benfatto staff for the quality and passion evident in every dish!

30/06/2025: Teníamos grandes expectativas para Prestipino, pero terminó siendo la experiencia más decepcionante de toda nuestra estancia en Catania. Dondequiera que fuimos, la gente era increíblemente amable y acogedor, pero aquí, era todo lo contrario. Todos los camareros parecían molestos y eran antipáticos. Es una pena, porque el lugar podría tener potencial, pero la actitud del personal arruinó completamente la experiencia. Definitivamente no recomendaría.

21/10/2025: We entered this bar hoping for a quiet break, a simple moment of relaxation with two frothy coffees. Everything seemed normal until the bill arrived—and with it, the surprise: two glasses... charged. Yes, you read that right. Two coffees, two glasses of water, and a bill that seemed to come from a Kafkaesque dream. Glasses that usually accompany a coffee as a gesture of courtesy. Not here. Here, even the water "breathes" luxury, apparently. A shame, really: a little common sense would be enough to transform any ordinary establishment into a welcoming place. But when even the water has to be paid for... the bitter taste lingers long after the coffee.

Service • Bedienung: Das Personal ist freundlich und arbeitet professionell. • Tempo: Die Abläufe sind leider nicht besonders schnell – man sollte etwas Zeit mitbringen, da die Wartezeiten länger ausfallen können. Speisekarte & Qualität • Auswahl: Die Karte ist recht umfangreich und bietet viele verschiedene Gerichte, von Burgern über Steaks bis hin zu Tex-Mex-Klassikern. • Essen: Geschmacklich ist das Essen in Ordnung, aber nichts Außergewöhnliches. Wer authentisch amerikanische Küche sucht, wird hier eher Standardgerichte finden. Fazit für Familien Für Familien mit Kind ist das Old Wild West eine solide Option, wenn man Wert auf eine große Auswahl und ein unterhaltsames Ambiente legt. Wer allerdings ein kulinarisches Highlight sucht oder wenig Zeit hat, sollte sich auf längere Wartezeiten und eher durchschnittliche Speisen einstellen.

Invito il capo del personale a selezionare con piu attenzione il personale, questa dipendente è altamente scorbutica, ineducata e non comprende affatto cosa possa significare il termine interagire con i clienti.

23/09/2025: We used the bar on the way between Syracuse and Catania, the food was excellent but it should be noted that the owner allows customers to smoke inside the premises creating a bad smell even in a place where there is food on display, as it is also a bistro for lunch break... incredible.

11/10/2025: Very rude person. I ordered fresh pomegranate juice and was charged €6 for a small glass that didn't even hold 500 ml. It's simply not competitive with other stores that sell larger sizes at lower prices. If this were a sit-down bar and they served you in a real glass, I'd probably expect something like this.

03/10/2025: It's crazy here.... Abundant food and fun. Here, fresh fish is prepared on the spot, accompanied by the singing and dancing of the grillers 🙂. A must-visit!

21/11/2025: Pumpkin sunflowers were lightly seasoned and dry on the palate. High prices, medium portions. Decent service.

23/10/2025: The only positive thing: the fresh pasta. Ingredients weren't listed on the menu, and the service wasn't exactly friendly. We ordered a portion of pumpkin tortellini, and they tasted of alcohol. When we went to "complain," we were told that we, as customers, are responsible for indicating whether there are ingredients we don't eat or are allergic to. If it had been stated that amaretto was among the ingredients, we definitely would have opted for something else. I know that by law, the list of ingredients and any allergens must be displayed. In a dish called "pumpkin tortellini," I expect pumpkin tortellini, certainly not almond essence liqueur (unless specified). I really don't think I'll be back.

16/03/2025: I think the worst experience I've ever had. From the table booked days and days before which once arrived was not yet ready to the cocktails which arrived up to TWO HOURS after ordering, not all together but one at a time. Extremely rude staff. Never again

25/10/2025: One star is excessive for the arrogance of the owner or manager, but I certainly think that thinking that a five-year-old girl should have to have a mandatory aperitivo is truly the kind of person who needs an immediate course in kindness, friendliness, and above all professionalism. Of course, never again! Not to mention the food.

24/10/2025: All the 1-star reviews are real. Tourist trap. Aperitif dinner, €10?! Wow, with 15 courses + pizzas + drinks?! Wow… no, that's not true. You get 4 courses and 1 drink of their choice. Plus, you get hair on your plates and an extra €1 for cover charge. The food was definitely leftovers from other days, reheated and served to customers. What's more, the dish arrives hot; they don't even have the decency to just reheat the food; they reheat the food and dish together. Not recommended under any circumstances, it's disgusting.

01/10/2025: I've been getting gluten-free pizza for myself and regular pizza for my husband at this pizzeria for at least 3 years now, and I'm always happy with it. The pizza chef is very skilled and meticulous with the pizzas. It's now our go-to pizzeria. I'd also add that they're very quick with the pizzas, and if you pick them up yourself (as we usually do), they'll have them ready in no time. A guarantee for us.
