21/03/2026: A hidden gem near Etna. An exceptional and authentic restaurant with warm and welcoming staff. The food was phenomenal. Fresh mussels, fragrant bread, seafood linguine, and scampi. The swordfish was perfectly prepared, as was the fried calamari and salad. The dessert was divine and I absolutely must have the recipe. We also purchased delicious prosciutto and top-quality baked goods for our trip. The staff is very attentive. You feel truly welcome. "A Maidda" is one of the best restaurants in the area. Warmth, intense flavors, simply wonderful. A place where you don't just eat, you feel truly welcome. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and exceptional food. We are from Germany.

15/03/2026: I visited the chocolate shop for the first time a couple of days ago. The first thing I noticed was the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the stylish furnishings, the posters on the walls, the frescoes on the ceiling...everything speaks of a time lived with memories of serenity...not to mention the chocolate...sweet, bitter, chili pepper...something for every taste, a bewildering selection...so many possibilities. Thank you for being here, and thank you to the Finocchiaro family for what they have done and maintained over time, impeccably and with such passion!

06/04/2026: An okay quick bite to eat in the centre of Catania. We both had pizza which was perfect in size and taste except the base of our pizzas was slightly over crunchy and hard to cut, the fries we had really hit the spot too. Service was mediocre, the menu is a QR code that isn’t clear on the paper placemat on the table (which was still their Christmas themed ones - in April) and the wait staff took a while to take our order. That being said they boxed up the bits of pizza we left to take home with us and the outdoor seating was warm and inviting. Would also say it’s slightly overpriced at €45 for 2 pizzas and fries.

16/11/2025: Having been there several times, I can only speak highly of it... The small but welcoming atmosphere has several strong points. I'd start with the food: at lunch, you can enjoy dishes you wouldn't normally find in a rotisserie because they're more home-style, and at dinner, the pizzas are delicious, with a special focus on Sicilian dishes, as tradition dictates. All using high-quality ingredients at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive to customer needs. I highly recommend it!
