01/01/2026: Contrary to all expectations, given our choice to spend New Year's Eve at Nuk, a renowned restaurant known for its quality, I must report the extremely poor organization of the evening of the 31st. The staff was mostly unprepared, untrained, and poorly organized, hired for the occasion without any preparation. We ordered two recommended menus for the evening and noticed that some courses hadn't arrived. When we reported it, the staff pretended nothing had happened and denied the missing items. Of the four missing courses, two arrived. The menu wasn't respected, and other tables also reported this problem. No one performed the midnight countdown. There was silence and a terrible paranoia, and to top it all off, the DJ never arrived. When we customers asked for confirmation, some denied it, and some said he was running late. All this happened after midnight, and in the meantime, the place was emptying, to the discontent of the customers who felt cheated. The big New Year's bluff...in short, quality aside, nuk disappointed us!

08/03/2026: We arrived here guided by the smell wafting from the waterfront. Upon entering, we noticed a strong armpit odor, which only made everything tastier. The kebab was sliced ​​very thinly, and for our taste, it wasn't very spicy, but very delicate and still good. The service was quick. Recommended!

05/04/2026: Disappointing Easter, cuisine stuck in time We visited La Vela restaurant for Easter lunch with high expectations, which unfortunately weren't met. The menu, advertised as fish-based, fell short: besides the fact that the dishes all tasted very similar, it was never clear what type of fish was used in the various courses. This lack of transparency and identity made the experience even more confusing and unsatisfying. The cuisine also seemed decidedly dated: the chef seemed stuck in 1960s tradition, without any attempt to reinterpret or modernize the dishes. This approach today feels uninspiring and lacks personality. The service was adequate but impersonal, with little attention paid to the customer. The only positive note was the panoramic view, which was truly pleasant and enhanced the setting. Unfortunately, however, it didn't quite make up for the quality of the lunch. Another detail worth noting is the out-of-context presence of poinsettias in the dining room, which is decidedly incongruous with the Easter season and the expected atmosphere. Overall, an Easter lunch that didn't leave a good impression. We definitely expected more.

03/01/2026: Fantastic location and impeccable service, unfortunately the food, which seemed good, actually caused me serious, if not debilitating, problems. The beccafico anchovies were bitter and soaked in vinegar, the mussels were all dried up, and I had diarrhea all night. What a price, how dare you, you poisoned me!

02/11/2025: Butcher shop and trattoria. Various types of cheeses, unmissable ricotta, select meats, and surprisingly low prices. Family-run service, they have the best restaurants in the area.

15/11/2025: I've been a customer for years, often ordering coffee, a snack, or desserts. The products, service, and atmosphere are good, nothing to complain about. Tonight, unexpectedly, I paid double the usual price (presumably because it was Saturday). It's a shame; you make money in the short term, but you lose customers who, feeling cheated, as in my case, will go elsewhere next time. Specifically, I paid €1.50 for a snack instead of €1.30 as indicated on the sign, and two Heinekens for €9 instead of the usual €4. It's not a fortune, but charging a regular customer double, just because it's Saturday, makes me feel cheated. I asked for clarification and was told that the table charges more (which has never happened and is not stated anywhere). It's a shame, I liked this bar.

25/12/2025: I was at a wedding in the summer and I have to say the location was very beautiful but everything else was forgettable!! The waiters were arrogant and rude, even to the people in the dining room! The head waiter scolded a 10-year-old girl who wanted to sing because it wasn't the right time... the food was brought in so quickly that you didn't even have time to enjoy it... The contract (and I know what I'm talking about) stated that entry was on the boat and the location was rented until 3:00... there wasn't even a hint of a boat tour and at 2:00 they made us understand that we had to leave by starting to turn off the lights! At 1:30 they made the DJ turn off the music since he had a contract with them until 2:30 (since they had stayed that way) and the DJ who until that moment had made everyone in the room dance!!!! At the time of the dessert buffet there was supposed to be an open bar, unfortunately no one was told where it was... again at dessert time there wasn't even half a bottle of water on the table and that day it was 38 degrees!!!! It's a shame because it could have been a wonderful evening but instead they ruined it a bit!!!

19/10/2025: I was wandering around with my husband when he spotted this bar that was just opening up and we decided to come in for a relaxed drink. We asked if the place was open and the owner, Allesio welcomed us in. Allesio is very knowledgeable about all kinds of alcohol and is happy to find the drink you may be looking for. We had a great time chatting with him and my hubby was thrilled to talk about 90’s rock music. Allesio is a big fan of music. We even asked his opinion of restaurants around and he gave us a fantastic recommendations! So two out of two restaurants we ran by him were 10/10! This bar is great for having a relaxed experience, the atmosphere and the people are all so kind! I spotted people who waved and said a quick hello. This area is gives a very Mr. Rogers neighborhood feel. If you need to find a place to destress and start a good experience in Sicily, this is a great place to start!

05/10/2025: A very welcoming downtown venue, both for its atmosphere and its staff. The bartender is extremely attentive to the customer's preferences and suggestions, and based on this, he creates masterpieces for you to enjoy, even though the menu is very extensive. If you're passing through the city center, it's highly recommended.

03/03/2026: We still can't believe such a blunder comes from a restaurant that serves raw fish. Last night we ordered a takeout sushi box whose salmon had literally gone bad, who knows how many days ago. It smelled nauseating when we opened the box, both the sashimi and the tartare, and the texture was mushy and flaky. We are your customers and we know your methods well, and we know raw salmon, whether fresh or not. Serving spoiled raw fish is highly dangerous due to the enormous battery charge created during its decomposition, seriously endangering the health of those who eat it. I remind you that something like this is unacceptable and legally punishable if it causes physical consequences. The rest of the food was very good, as always. This feedback isn't intended as a malicious attack, but rather as a reprimand and a call to attention to this huge mistake made last night. Best regards.
