01/04/2025: Small church that from the outside could be like any other in the area, however! Once you go in you’ll see a staircase going down and into a small crypt that’s part formed because of the lava caves and is now a tribute area. When it’s hot outside this place is a shelter, but the steps are steep and narrow so may be hard for some. Absolutely worth visiting tho and seeing this wonder

07/05/2025: I chose to get their diner pieces for a party, but I have already been a customer for several years. I was more than thrilled. Personally, in Catania I think there are no rivals! The real pistachio diner can only be found at their place. Superlative quality, both sweet and savory. And a great note of thanks also to the staff and the owner. Very kind, polite people, really a pleasure to meet people like that.

25/04/2025: Old school vibe. Had assorted fried fish and shellfish, a massive plate of Pasta Alla Norma, swordfish past, and local dry white wine— so good! Papa Lardo runs the place and is very friendly.

12/04/2025: Sono stato in questa struttura più volte. Gelato o granita Tavola calda Oggi ho optato x un pranzo più tradizionale. Primo: casarecce alla norma Secondo: polpette al sugo e contorno di parmigiana di melanzane. Ottima la pasta Sulle polpette mi permetto un piccolo suggerimento x renderle più morbide. Usare della mollica e il latte Vecchia ricetta di mia nonna. Venivano morbidissime. Nel complesso sono comunque soddisfatto delle pietanze

23/04/2025: Excellent place to sit and eat dinner. Menu is meat side and fish side. Expansive and not easily discernible about what you’re getting . We had the tuna tartar which very good, and lacked seasoning ( garlic and salt ) the gnocchi was excellent as well as grilled sea bass. My buddy loved the grilled tuna, thought it was good not great. Prawn cocktail was served English style with thousand island dressing 🤷😬. Service with Roxanne ( our waitress) was excellent. Good luck and enjoy the surroundings.

21/04/2025: Pessima esperienza in questo ristorante, abbiamo atteso 1 ora e 45 per avere i primi piatti ordinati, considerando che eravamo in 8 di cui 4 bambini é, a mio avviso, inaccettabile essere abbandonati al tavolo senza aver nulla nell’attesa. Arrivati i piatti, gli spaghetti alle vongole ( veraci da menù ) in realtà si trattava di spaghetti aglio (tanto) e olio, con un po’ di lupini. Da evitare!

23/05/2025: Excellent meal here. The chef came to our table (indeed all the tables) and talked us through the menu, his recommendations and off-menu dishes he was able to prepare for us. We had a selection from across the different menus - pizza and calzone where thin, crisp and flavoursome. La Norma pasta dish - a regional speciality made with tomato and aubergine gave us all plate-envy and my partner had the seared tuna which was the best he’d ever had. We arrived early and the place was empty which makes you wonder if you have made the right choice - don’t worry, you have and by 10pm the place full.
