27/07/2025: Ho mangiato qui un crudo eccellente , poi ho ordinato insieme agli amici degli spaghetti vongole e bottarga , sono arrivati dopo una estenuante attesa di più di un ora e purtroppo immangiabili. Mi hanno rovinato il piacere del crudo. Il tutto in ambiente caotico .

26/09/2025: A relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of locals and tourists. Ideal for an affordable, quick bite in the city center. Not everything on the menu was available due to the crowds, but there was plenty of variety, fresh, and delicious food.

22/10/2025: We arrived around 10:00 PM. Before arriving, we'd checked online, and it said the restaurant closed at 11:00 PM. Once we arrived, we asked if we could still eat, and the response was immediately discouraging: "The kitchen is about to close." An older woman spoke to us with a sorry expression, saying she'd check. Then she returned, saying we could eat, but a colleague, broom in hand, said in an annoyed tone, "Which room haven't you swept yet?", as if we were in the way. We didn't say anything; we just asked for a table a bit further away so we could eat in peace, without someone sweeping near our feet or kicking up dust. The response was, "No, sorry, the tables are ready for tomorrow." Yet it was only 10:00 PM, and online it clearly states that the restaurant closes at 11:00 PM. Honestly, the way we were treated was truly rude and disappointing. We left with a bad impression, even though we just wanted to have a quiet dinner.

16/09/2025: We've been going to Cala Sarraina for years for the beach, but unfortunately, in recent years a private area with umbrellas and loungers has been created next to the bar/restaurant... The sea is beautiful, but it needs to be clean! Unfortunately, lately, it's often dirty with plastic and various human activities, ruining this wonderful cove.

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, the good location, and the view in particular, deserves the one star in this review. The only dish without garlic (to which my husband is allergic) was gnocchi in bianco (white gnocchi), in which we found a metallic residue from dishcloth. After pointing this out to the waiter, when it came to the bill, despite the law protecting consumers and allowing them not to pay for the dish, they charged us half, explaining it on the receipt as beer that we never consumed. We will report it to the health department.

29/09/2025: Ended up here because we were hungry and the recommended pizzerias were closed. Wish I could turn back time. Pizza dough not cooked through and through, the centre of the pizza one fat, soggy, inedible mess. Comments were ignored with an “okay” - and a day later my bowels still feel uncomfortable. Which goes to show: even Italians kan mess up pizza’s. Lesson learned: no matter how hungry you are, better drive to the next village and enjoy good food than opt for whatever this was.

06/10/2025: The spaghetti vongole and burrata with salad were excellent, a bit pricey, but the quality was good! The service charge of €4 per person is excessive and should be adjusted!

04/10/2025: Nice beach bar with a beautiful view. The beach is also free to visit and parking is free.

18/07/2025: Slow service and disappointing food. The croissants were terrible – sometimes they’d even bring a bun and call it a croissant. There were just too many disappointing points overall. The service, in general, really wasn’t great. The only reason we kept coming back was because of the waitress Becky. She was fantastic – friendly, attentive, and genuinely the highlight of the place. We actually started calling it Becky’s Restaurant.

15/07/2025: Barracuda: a sure thing in the heart of Baia Sardinia We returned after two years, and once again, Barracuda exceeded all expectations. So much so that we returned for two nights during our vacation. The restaurant is located in the main square of Baia Sardinia, in a very central and charming location. The welcome was impeccable: the staff were extremely kind, punctual, and extremely efficient. The comfortable seating also deserves a special mention—an often overlooked detail, but one that makes the experience truly enjoyable. We started with appetizers recommended by the waitress: Fried shrimp candies to be eaten whole, crispy and delicious, accompanied by fried seaweed. Fried tuna meatballs: flavorful, light, perfect. Mussels with crostini: a classic executed to perfection. But it was with the first courses that Barracuda truly won us over: Mezze maniche with mantis shrimp and cherry tomatoes: full and balanced flavor, a memorable dish. Tagliatelle with wild boar ragù: a surprising summer choice, but definitely worth trying for its delicate, balanced flavors. Spaghetti with clams: simply perfect. A true Neapolitan, we've rarely tasted anything so good. A masterpiece of simplicity and technique. For our second course, we shared an octopus tentacle on pumpkin cream: haute cuisine presentation, a flavor worthy of applause. To finish on a sweet note: tiramisu, baba, and torta caprese. All excellent, especially the tiramisu, soft and delicious. The service was fast, courteous, and always attentive, with excellent value. If you're passing through Baia Sardinia or the Costa Smeralda, Il Barracuda is a must-see. Excellent cuisine, a charming location, and a perfect atmosphere. Thank you for giving us another unforgettable experience.

07/10/2025: As soon as the owner said that they only serve water, beer or wine I knew I had come to the right place. Ignore the negative reviews, this place is perfect. Great food and you feel like you are sat in someone’s home. The restaurant is welcoming, warm and cosy. The food is comforting and the portions are very generous. It tastes like a family run restaurant and feels more authentic than many of the other restaurants that we have visited on the island. As a side note there is a great view from the car park.

28/10/2025: The place is very pleasant, and the relaxed atmosphere is immediately apparent, thanks in part to the balanced seating capacity. The cuisine reflects traditional Roman flavors through artisanal flavors and dishes. I highly recommend trying it.

18/08/2025: The pizza is delicious and the food is excellent overall. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area (an average of €18-20 for a first course). The staff is very friendly, and service is quick and there's no long wait.
