08/12/2024: Unfortunately, I had to renew our review for La Casupola, which was several years old, today because there were problems with Google uploading a new update with new photos. My wife and I can only praise this small and quaint location highly. We have been going there regularly in spring and/or fall for years and find the food excellent. When you visit for the first time, you shouldn't be fooled by the exterior and the general ambience. The Italian couple that runs the restaurant cooks authentic Italian food of an exceptional standard and at very fair prices. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and, in addition to the very good food, creates a feel-good atmosphere. We're looking forward to it for the next visit. Update on September 11th, 2024 - we are back at the Gargano and of course we were at La Casupola. Today's 46 euro cost for lunch for two people includes: Antipasto di Mare, Frittura di Calamari, Troccoli alle Vongole, espresso, cappuccino + 1 tiramisu and a large bottle of mineral water.

As for the food, the peppered mussels arrived raw and many mussels were closed, in fact I left the dish as it was, I didn't like the first course very much. But my son's orecchiette with tomato sauce were good. A matter of taste but we were not satisfied and also a little expensive with the prices

19/08/2024: Enchanting location, dinner is a spectacle, located at 740 meters Volturino offers a breathtaking view. The owners, a family business, are lucky enough to have two splendid children, Antonio and Maria. We eat too well and spend too little. The house wine is fabulous. And for those who want to avoid the bends on the way back, there is a wide choice of places to sleep, all managed by them. Fabulous.

14/06/2024: Siamo andati di sabato per fortuna senza prenotare abbiamo trovato due posti tutto sommato la pizza abbastanza buona, per quanto riguarda il pesce un pochino meno, l’unica pecca è che lo staff era in confusione essendo sabato c’era più gente e quindi tendevano a sbagliare per il restoè tutto nella norma i prezzi abbastanza contenuti

Waiters in trouble, yet the restaurant was not at all full... long waits for baresane with tomato, for chips, not to mention the mixed fried fish with cod and cod with bad taste....I ask for some cheese for the little girl and after several reminders some super mature cheese arrives, inedible, horrible, there's no denying it but it was old!!!! so much so that the little girl didn't eat anything out of disgust! Finally the bill arrives and they had charged us for things we hadn't ordered. Very bad. The only nice thing was the cats around the tables.
