07/05/2026: The appetizers were generous. We had pizza and pasta, which were very fresh and delicious. Anthonio speaks a little French, which made it easier to get menu recommendations. The friendliness, service, and welcome were all excellent. We had a wonderful time!

03/05/2026: I visited Alta Marea Lab in Villanova (Ostuni) and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered an Angus tagliata, expecting the classic preparation: a whole cut of Angus beef cooked properly and sliced into even pieces. Instead, it was served as small, irregular strips, more like “straccetti,” with no proper presentation and not representative of what a tagliata should be. Having traveled extensively, this is the first time I’ve seen it served this way. Overall, disappointing. The ingredients may have potential, but they are not handled or presented with the care you would expect.

07/04/2026: Beautiful venue in the city center. The cocktails are excellent, and the platter is delicious. It offers excellent aperitifs, as well as a good coffee service and much more. TOP staff! Highly recommended!

24/12/2025: Excellent bakery in Ostuni, I went there this morning to buy traditional bread, I found what I was looking for at a very reasonable price, 1 kg of durum wheat bread €3.50, 1 kg of wholemeal bread €3.50, excellent, in a very comfortable environment, very helpful in explaining the product, recommended.

14/12/2025: A dive into the past, a real old bakery. Delicious pastries and excellent bread. I recommend it, a must-see.

29/08/2025: Dining at Cielo at La Sommità is nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled within the historic heart of Ostuni, the restaurant blends elegance and intimacy, offering an atmosphere that feels refined yet welcoming. From the first bite, it’s clear this is a place where tradition and artistry are in perfect harmony. Each dish is a revelation — local Apulian ingredients transformed with precision and soul. The flavors are both bold and delicate, rooted in authenticity yet elevated to something unforgettable. The experience flows seamlessly, with each course presented like a work of art that respects the region’s heritage while pushing it forward. A special mention must go to Pastry Chef Giuseppe, whose desserts are nothing less than masterpieces. His creations are light yet decadent, imaginative yet deeply comforting — the perfect finale to an already remarkable meal. Cielo at La Sommità is a jewel of Puglia, and without question, worthy of a Michelin star.

08/08/2025: Good experience. Service could be improved, though friendly. The food is imaginative, perhaps more on paper than on the palate.

24/04/2026: A welcoming location, characterized by charming stone arches and a great atmosphere enhanced by pleasant, soft lighting. The quality of the ingredients is good: I found the chips excellent and enjoyed both the chicken tagliata and the bombette. However, the experience was marred by the excessive noise, which made conversation almost impossible. Another sore point was the inability to choose the meat directly at the counter. The staff was inefficient and distracted, almost lost in their own world and inattentive to customer requests. Finally, despite repeatedly stressing the need for takeout due to an excessive order, this was not honored. For these reasons, I can't give more than three stars.

25/03/2026: Dinner was excellent! Besides the charming setting and welcoming service, the dishes were exquisite and reasonably priced. Many compliments!

20/05/2026: A very basic place, unpretentious but authentic. It only serves appetizers and pizzas. The appetizers are excellent and very reasonably priced. The appetizers aren't as generous as those you'd typically find in the area, so they're best paired with pizza. We didn't order them, but looking at the tables next to them, it looked good. We were happy, and will definitely return.

14/05/2026: A place that endures and retains its authenticity. Excellent, authentic appetizers, just like the ones my grandmother used to make. The staff is truly kind, friendly, and genuine. The quality is top-notch because it's homey. The atmosphere isn't fancy, but it's wonderful precisely because it's so authentic, making it special. There used to be so many places that made you feel at home, and I almost didn't appreciate them, but now that everything is so commercially driven and I miss my grandmother, I think this place is a rare gem worth preserving.

17/08/2025: Nothing to complain about the location; it's cute and informal, but this place, even though it's desolate, has its charm. The meat is very good, and the prices are average for the quantity and quality. The only flaw is the €13 grilled meat, which is paltry in its composition. It's listed as weighing about 400 grams. The capocollo, which wasn't there, must have been a maximum of 150 grams cooked and compensated for by adding a mini-bombetta and a sausage. I'd recommend revising it and making it more substantial. As for the side dishes, the quality/price ratio is exceptional.

15/08/2025: I'm a meat lover, so I wasn't familiar with this place. It was a great surprise. I like the location, it's pleasant. The staff is very friendly, and the food is divine. Finally, a place with zero food miles. The only downside? They'll close in August and reopen in October. I think they could definitely stay open until the end of September. A place worth trying, highly recommended.

27/10/2025: We celebrated my son's graduation today....what can I say? Aldo, the exceptional owner, welcomed us, listened to us, and fulfilled our every request. The food was excellent and high-quality, prepared with that special touch that never hurts. Everything was excellent and plentiful. We will definitely be back.

20/12/2025: Nice atmosphere, shame about everything else, very slow service. We placed two orders and they didn't even serve half of them. Among them was a boatload of 54 pieces, all the same, stuffed with tuna! We clearly won't be returning!
