21/09/2025: A lovely place in the heart of Santa Caterina where, honestly, I ate one of the best pizzas in the area—truly excellent! Finally, a pizza where the flavor of the tomato and the dough stand out, with its excellent flavor and long leavening, making it very digestible. The burger with side dishes is also excellent. The only flaw I can't help but mention is the disorganized, completely disconnected wait staff; the tables don't have numbers, and the waiters are in a panic. The place is quite noisy due to the uncivilized customers; otherwise, you can sit on the main street or in the dining room. The place also has a bar for a drink or whatever you like. La Baritonessa.

The decor, thoughtful but not pretentious, creates the perfect setting for an evening with friends. ​ The staff is exceptionally kind and professional. Attentive, smiling, and always ready to offer recommendations on dishes and wines. We felt pampered and cared for throughout the dinner. But let's get to the heart of the review: the pizza is simply spectacular. The dough is light, digestible, and baked to perfection, with a high, fragrant crust. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, and the balance of flavors is masterful. ​Conclusion: 'Il Rosso Piccante' is more than just a pizzeria; it's a true celebration of Italian taste. If you're looking for authentic pizza, made with passion and served with a smile, this is the place.

17/11/2025: I've been going to this place for over 20 years. But today I think I've really hit rock bottom: after ordering a Tomahawk Steak, I see something arrive at my table (after over 45 minutes... but that's understandable, despite the place being very sparsely crowded), something that could have been anything but a Tomahawk (which I've had a thousand times in the past): completely cold, full of sinew (not even the waiter managed to cut it properly, making it all fall apart), and inedible because it's so "sinewy," when it should be "butter"!! The grilled vegetables (good anyway), as a side, arrived much later than the meat!!! What can I say? I repeat: I had such a high opinion of this place, that I think this is the last time I set foot there!!!

After a lovely stroll through the alleys of Ostuni, Lo Spessite is ideal for a meal that reflects the true essence of Puglia. Highly recommended.

21/10/2025: Stoned onto it by accident, my daughter and both had pasta, both with mushroom (but different sauces). The best we have had in Pulia! The owner was gracious, although the waitress was a bit sullen. But service was good, atmosphere great, and again, it’s the food stupid :0 so good. Prices were quite fair for the quality. I read a couple one star reviews and looked at their history and they just seem vindictive. We would recommend it.

25/10/2025: A friendly welcome for our family of 10 at 7 p.m. The room isn't exactly spectacular in terms of decor, but it's worth checking out during the day with the outside light. The pizzas are indeed excellent, nothing to complain about, very varied, and white too. It's quite filling. The service is fast, nothing to complain about either. Reasonable prices for pizzas and dishes, very, very good value for money. Covers are always extra, and the drinks are affordable.
