25/08/2025: My family and I decided to have dinner one evening. Ridiculous portions...a paltry grilled meat and ridiculous side dishes (two tiny slices of zucchini and two of eggplant). Very mediocre for a total of €64 for 4 people. Avoid, go elsewhere.

19/08/2025: Terrible experience. Ordered 1 mixed roast (very poor), 1 roasted bombette (raw), 1 mixed appetizer in mini pebbles, 1 first course (5 gnocchi), and grilled Erudire (five mini zucchini slices and three eggplant slices). The quality/price ratio was absolutely inadequate. Avoid.

10/08/2025: Discovered this year, we haven't left. Free parking, fair prices, top-notch services, generous space between umbrellas, and a splendid sea, with two options for swimming: either from a sandy cove or from a ladder directly into the deeper water. Friendly staff, and a shout-out to Antonello, the lifeguard, who is always there to help with even the smallest mishaps.

09/11/2025: I really liked it, the atmosphere wasn't too crowded, the service was quick, the food was delicious, the little I could taste, because the starters didn't leave any room for the first courses and that's it 😅 Note that we ordered for 2 people and 4 of us ate 🫣

28/08/2025: This evening we had a delightful evening; despite our late arrival (around 11:45 PM), the staff was there to welcome us warmly. Between a generous appetizer of cured meats, cheeses, and fried foods and two delicious first courses (orecchiette with sausage and arugula, and spaghetti allo scoglio), we spent the evening in a small, well-kept and very familiar corner of Brindisi. An ideal place for groups of young people like us, but also for families and couples, especially given the super affordable price! Thanks again to the restaurant.

07/10/2025: We tried many dishes at restaurants in Polignano, Monopoli, Gallipoli, Ostuni, Lecce, and Porto Cesareo, but the food here was particularly good. The portions were generous, the staff was friendly, everything was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised. The free private parking was also excellent.

07/10/2025: A fantastic experience. The quality and quantity of food were absolutely unmatched by other fixed-menu restaurants, making our lunch a true treat! We absolutely loved the appetizers, but the first course was also a pleasant surprise! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a wonderful, carefree day.

19/09/2025: Stopped here for a quick bite. We each had two different kinds of chicken wings. It was good, ideal if you don't feel like pasta or pizza.

17/08/2025: Nothing to complain about the location; it's cute and informal, but this place, even though it's desolate, has its charm. The meat is very good, and the prices are average for the quantity and quality. The only flaw is the €13 grilled meat, which is paltry in its composition. It's listed as weighing about 400 grams. The capocollo, which wasn't there, must have been a maximum of 150 grams cooked and compensated for by adding a mini-bombetta and a sausage. I'd recommend revising it and making it more substantial. As for the side dishes, the quality/price ratio is exceptional.

15/08/2025: I'm a meat lover, so I wasn't familiar with this place. It was a great surprise. I like the location, it's pleasant. The staff is very friendly, and the food is divine. Finally, a place with zero food miles. The only downside? They'll close in August and reopen in October. I think they could definitely stay open until the end of September. A place worth trying, highly recommended.

16/11/2025: The restaurant is undoubtedly a unique location, with attentive service, but otherwise everything is decidedly touristy and doesn't showcase the quality of the local area. While the waiter was still taking our order, our appetizers were served, which only makes you think they were pre-made, like in a cheap canteen. The first course arrived, and believe me, I'll eat anything, but that first course was terrible: raw orecchiette, sour tomato, and everything tasteless. I don't understand where the hype about this place comes from; we were extremely disappointed, highly discouraged.

17/11/2025: We really loved the hotel’s location and overall look — the building is beautiful, and our room was clean and nicely designed. It has the charm you’d expect from a boutique hotel, and at first glance it truly felt like a great place to stay. However, we did face a few basic issues that affected our stay. Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room or even in the breakfast area, which was quite inconvenient. Bathroom/Shower: The shower was surprisingly small and disproportionate for the premium room rate we paid (see attached photo). Noise at Night: Most importantly, guests at the bar were making a lot of noise late into the night. Even after 10:45 pm, it was loud enough to be disturbing because there is no soundproofing on the second floor where we stayed. It’s a bit sad because this is genuinely a nice place with a lot of potential, but it needs more attention to these important details to match the boutique experience they aim to offer.

02/08/2025: A very atmospheric place with outdoor dining. The owners are fantastic, and we haven't had such good pizza in a long time. We also recommend the meatballs and potatoes, because your mouth will water just by looking at the display case. We were four adults and four children (ages 5-9).

30/07/2025: A fantastic place. Delicious food, very friendly service. The place isn't geared towards tourists, so you can eat at an affordable price. If you're hungry, want to eat well, and experience a truly Italian atmosphere, it's worth detouring and visiting Pizzeria Centrale :)

20/08/2025: My husband and I arrived in Ceglie Messapica around 2:30 PM after a long journey, wandering through the town tired and hungry as wolves, but luckily we found this delightful little place still open. Despite the late hour, the owners kindly seated us and served us a tasty mix of local cured meats and cheeses, as well as a selection of delicious vegetables in oil prepared by them, all washed down with an excellent Rebo. Excellent quality ingredients, flavors that express the full spirit of Puglia, and we will never forget the genuine courtesy with which we were welcomed. Absolutely fair prices. A place to keep in mind for a return visit.

19/06/2025: Do indulge in this little dissimulated jewel, placed in the historical district of just as much of an underrated city, Brindisi. Retrogusto lives up to the highest standards of Italian charme and hospitality. A tucked away corner popping up unexpectedly from the cobblestone streets connecting important sites of Brindisi's old town (you just can't miss the nearby archeological museum Francesco Ribezzo, outstanding yet virtually unkown), this place will surprise you with its quaint atmosphere, welcoming vibe and courteous professionalism. The staff is very kind, competent and warm, making you feel at home all along, while preparing the top cocktails in the process! Make it a must stop in Brindisi 💗
