01/01/2026: I'll add, for the owner who keeps arguing and has hundreds of reviews like mine, that my husband teaches restaurant techniques, and when I speak up, she rightfully continues to insult me ​​by talking about my IQ. She's essentially telling me I'm mentally unskilled, but she'll continue to have the same problems with people because I see she's not interested in understanding or improving. She's always in line anyway...*** I'm rewriting the review so the owner understands. The staff works really, really hard. The place is beautiful. What don't I like? First, whether you've booked or not, you'll be left waiting in line outside until you're called. Second, I think they're overbooked and can't handle the influx of people. (In the summer, all the restaurants have shifts for lunch and dinner, so let's be clear.) Third, I didn't like the pizza because of the dough. And fourth, the bathrooms, which are in a small building in the middle of a garden, are dirty because of the uncivilized people? Maybe, but since anyone coming up from the beach or a beautiful garden can access it, it's not just customers who can go there. And in my opinion, the bathrooms are unusable and need to be cleaned. The prices, especially for the food, are very high. Incidentally, my opinion is shared by many people. Read all the people who gave it one or two stars. And the piqued responses speak volumes. Sic... I don't recommend it, you'll ruin your evening with nerves.

01/01/2026: I'd like to offer some constructive feedback, hoping it's encouraging. I'd like to point out the location and, above all, the service: the lady was truly friendly and helpful. The baked potatoes were also a positive note. Unfortunately, however, the food didn't convince us. Among the seafood appetizers, we found canned beans and chickpeas, industrial croutons, and a pink sauce without shrimp; the mussels were also very small. The wine by the glass was served with too much foam (beer-like). As for the main courses, the tuna had an unpleasant aftertaste, and the vegetable side was clearly frozen: in a place like this, you'd expect fresh, seasonal vegetables sautéed in a pan. The desserts were also disappointing. There's potential, but I strongly recommend renovating the place and focusing on fresh ingredients. We'd happily return if the food was as carefully prepared as the hospitality.

Honest prices like that aren't even found in campsites on the island, which has become almost inaccessible. Le Venelle is a somewhat basic place, for those with no expectations and who know they've spent little. Spending little also means not expecting the best. There were 16 of us, four apartments. Everything was fairly new, a few broken pieces here and there, but who cares? Two barbecue grills and free firewood available, and tables outside. The place is surrounded by greenery in the countryside. The only real flaw is that the sofa beds are very uncomfortable. Ideal for groups of friends and families with no expectations, who want to enjoy the island without spending a fortune.

01/11/2025: I arrived at this restaurant with my small, well-behaved dog, properly leashed. We were informed that dogs were not accepted and asked to leave. The main problem wasn't the rules themselves, which may be legitimate, but rather the extremely hasty and impolite manner in which we were treated. Furthermore, we weren't even given the option of sitting at the outside tables, a solution that many other restaurants in the area readily offer. I believe that, even while respecting their own policies, a restaurant should maintain good manners, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude toward those who enter. A disappointing experience. We won't be returning. (Not accepting dogs in 2025 is excessive, but everyone has their own policies, and I respect them.)

27/09/2025: Rural trattoria, quality food. Ample private parking, pleasant outdoor setting. The daily menu is always excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and reasonable prices. Please note: this is a trattoria for easygoing diners who appreciate tradition without too many frills. Please note: dogs are not tolerated.

14/11/2025: I need to update the restaurant's opening hours. I went to the restaurant on Friday, November 14th. Google Maps said it was open, but upon arrival, I found everything dark. The number was clear, and they responded to my question if they were open. The answer was a terse no, and they hung up in less than a second, maybe a tenth of a second. Well, I can't review the food, but based on how they responded to my call, I definitely won't be returning.

14/08/2025: I booked through the app, they gave me availability, they also sent me an email the day of the reservation to remind me that I had a table reserved for that evening and then they were closed for holidays... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Ps: last but not least they also asked me for my opinion and thanked me for staying with them (???) and hoped, jokes, that the experience was unforgettable. Yes, it was... 14/05/2026: I've personally been there twice and I won't be going back. The first time, I booked pizzas for 8:30 PM, got there at 8:35 PM, and found them ready (and cold)... okay, it can happen. Second time, I arrived 15 minutes before the agreed-upon time, and guess what? They were already there, ready... ready for a quick reheat... but how? How do you manage to work like this? I read about "best pizzeria in the area"... but whoever wrote that, has ever had a pizza in the park, for example? Then they saw me a little shocked, and with a smile they thanked me, etc. But how? CAN'T you see that I'm giving you a dirty look because you have my pizza ready 15 minutes early? Not a single "sorry," nothing... I mean, they're treating you like an idiot. Go there yourself, as far as I'm concerned it's closed. EDIT: In response to management, I find it absurd to have to specify that I want a hot pizza. If I book a time slot, I expect it to come out of the oven right then, not 15 minutes early. Your "logic" is just an excuse to cover up poor service.

21/01/2026: I called and ordered two pizzas, when I asked for the second one they told me that I had to wait longer for the fries, so I said that the fries didn't matter, not the pizza, a pizza arrived and when I pointed it out the guy said that's what he understood, terrible service, I would have expected at least that they would make it even if it was late and bring it to me, plus the only pizza that arrived had sour tomato sauce
