22/03/2026: I stopped in at this restaurant today for an expresso. It wasn't a bar/cafe so they don't serve drinks without a food order. The gentleman saw the disappointment on my face and said, "ok, I'll make you one". He made this Canadian's day. Such kindness was very much appreciated by this lass!

28/02/2026: February 2026: Best pizza in Volterra. Crowded with locals who grew up with pizza. Interesting menu with many, many different interesting pizzas (none with pinepple and/or french fries). Moderate prices, friendly service.

09/05/2026: Very casual, pub-style place. The service is very efficient and friendly. Excellent, truly tasty food. Top-notch coffee, best enjoyed without sugar. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

25/03/2026: Recently renovated, at Nessi Pub you can enjoy an evening drinking a beer with friends and watching a hockey or basketball fan...it feels just like an American pub!!! The pizza and burgers 🍔 are very good. It's one of the few places where you can eat until late. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

16/05/2026: The crowds during mealtime were more frequent than I expected. Every dish I ordered today was delicious! I even used the cod sauce to spread on bread and ate it all up.

31/05/2026: A disaster, we left after two hours for a first course, the waiters forget and wander around randomly, I don't recommend it.

24/04/2026: Things are getting worse; lately, half an hour's delay has become standard. Don't order the Bufalina because you'll pay €8 for it, and they barely put any mozzarella in it... They only need two ingredients, and they skimp on the main one! But you pay the full price! It's a shame because the pizza and ingredients are excellent; the whole-grain pasta is recommended. They lack organization and friendliness...

23/02/2026: A terrible experience in every way. The waiter showed up at the table with visibly greasy and oily hands, something truly unacceptable in a restaurant. Besides the poor hygiene, the service was completely poor: disorganized, slow, and completely unprofessional. The food was a nightmare: poorly presented dishes, questionable flavors, and decidedly low-quality ingredients. It's rare to leave a dinner so dissatisfied. The only positive note was the waitress, Clarissa: clean, tidy, and extremely kind. She was the only one who demonstrated professionalism and attention to customers. I absolutely do not recommend it. Avoid.

24/05/2026: I'm coming to Italy not to eat cheap, stale crisps served to justify a €3 "service charge," not even to drink a small glass of €8 table wine.

17/05/2026: Worst pizza we've ever eaten. Relatively thick, not crispy, and the dough was tasteless. After having fantastic pizza in the center of Pisa, this was a complete disappointment.

07/07/2025: 24.05.30 They made such a pizza and carbonara that our ears were ringing! I think it's a family business. A nice cold Peroni beer went with everything. We arrived early, nothing was open yet, around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, but they politely offered us a seat. Other diners were even spreading the tablecloth and looking at us like a pyromaniac at a wet straw. We sat down and could order, and we got it 10 minutes later, since it was just us. The pizza was heavenly, my son licked my carbonara and ate it up. Good place!!!***** And the point: we paid under 50 erika with more drinks for the 3 of us!

13/06/2026: The setting and atmosphere were very nice, well-decorated, and the sea view was stunning. The service was poor; the waiters were mostly kind but slow and distracted. We had to wait over half an hour to order (which was understandable, given it was a summer Saturday night), but after we finally ordered, almost an hour passed since we were seated. Finally, the appetizer arrived; it was good but nothing special, and for the small piece of octopus on my plate, €24 was way overpriced. They were extremely slow at clearing the table, and at least another 40 minutes passed between the appetizer and the first course. Once it arrived, it was gnocchi and pasta with a tasteless sauce, fish that was definitely not of the highest quality, and the price was still too high for the dish. We definitely won't be returning, which is a shame because the location is worth it, but between the service, the particularly high prices, and the quality of the food, it loses every point.

03/06/2026: The sea bass was excellent and plentiful. The location was very elegant and charming. Prices were fair. The slow service was perhaps related to the attention paid to the preparation of the dishes.

28/03/2026: The pizza is good. The counter is very well stocked and inviting. Since it's inside a supermarket, the location isn't anything special.

28/03/2026: Menchetti is now a well-established chain in the Arezzo area. You'll find excellent quality, friendly service, and excellent baked goods and pastries.

03/06/2026: A decidedly disappointing experience. The restaurant's website listed pizza on the menu, but once we were seated, we were informed that they no longer serve it—a piece of information that should have been updated long ago. The fryer was out of order, so my daughters couldn't order fries. Again, it would have been helpful to know this in advance. My dish arrived incorrectly. They offered to exchange it, but I preferred not to cause any problems and just leave it as it was. However, when the bill came, not a single cent was deducted as an apology or compensation. I find this disrespectful to the customer. Finally, the thing that left us most perplexed: the water bottle was already opened and so covered in fingerprints that it was opaque on the outside—a clear sign of reuse. An unacceptable hygienic practice. We won't be returning, and I strongly advise the restaurant to update their website and seriously review their service and hygiene standards.

21/04/2026: Very nice place, the pizza is small but good. A little chaotic on Saturdays, but that's understandable.

12/04/2026: The pizza was good enough, but hard to digest. The owner was unfriendly and rude: I had booked the day before, specifying that there would be children (who were very good at the table). We arrived at 8:00 PM, and at 9:15 PM, he arrogantly told us to get up because he had a second shift at 9:30 AM, expressing surprise that we didn't know (no one had told us when we booked!). He continued to clear the table in a very rude manner, trying to make us understand that we had to leave. I strongly advise against it! It's a shame because the atmosphere is nice and only one waitress is friendly.
