01/11/2025: I arrived at this restaurant with my small, well-behaved dog, properly leashed. We were informed that dogs were not accepted and asked to leave. The main problem wasn't the rules themselves, which may be legitimate, but rather the extremely hasty and impolite manner in which we were treated. Furthermore, we weren't even given the option of sitting at the outside tables, a solution that many other restaurants in the area readily offer. I believe that, even while respecting their own policies, a restaurant should maintain good manners, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude toward those who enter. A disappointing experience. We won't be returning. (Not accepting dogs in 2025 is excessive, but everyone has their own policies, and I respect them.)

27/09/2025: Rural trattoria, quality food. Ample private parking, pleasant outdoor setting. The daily menu is always excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and reasonable prices. Please note: this is a trattoria for easygoing diners who appreciate tradition without too many frills. Please note: dogs are not tolerated.

I recommend David 2 because it's a relaxing and welcoming place, thanks to the owner and staff. With David 2, your evenings won't be a simple stop-off. Giorgio and his staff manage to work professionally and communicate with customers at the same time (a huge strength). You never get bored with them, and customers quickly become friends. 22/02/2026: Terrifying. They assigned us a table right away. We ordered two appetizers and two first courses within 15 minutes. The appetizer arrived after an hour of waiting, with one arriving first, then the other after 15 minutes. One of the first courses arrived after another hour of waiting. In the meantime, we had to change one of the first courses because the sauce we ordered (spaghetti with clams) was out. We sat down at 1:30 PM, the appetizer arrived at 2:20 PM, and the first courses arrived at 3:20 PM. I gave up on the spaghetti with seafood. Bread was basically my lunch. Never again. Highly not recommended. We will never return. I'm giving one star because it's impossible to give less.

22/03/2026: I stopped in at this restaurant today for an expresso. It wasn't a bar/cafe so they don't serve drinks without a food order. The gentleman saw the disappointment on my face and said, "ok, I'll make you one". He made this Canadian's day. Such kindness was very much appreciated by this lass!

28/02/2026: February 2026: Best pizza in Volterra. Crowded with locals who grew up with pizza. Interesting menu with many, many different interesting pizzas (none with pinepple and/or french fries). Moderate prices, friendly service.

04/12/2025: The atmosphere is simple, but that's not a flaw, because we like simple spaces. What everyone agrees on is that the pizza is really good and the prices are among the most reasonable we've ever found! The girl working the dining room is very friendly.

21/08/2025: This pizzeria is attached to the Hotel Eden. Sometimes you enter through the hotel, and other times there's an entrance on the more hidden Via Cesarini Sforza behind it. The pizzeria also offers traditional Neapolitan dishes, including a good selection of fried foods. The Campanian flavor is also evident in the excellent tomato used in the preparation and in the soft, thick pizza dough. Weather permitting, you can enjoy the terrace; otherwise, as in my case, you're forced to retreat to the dining room, losing out on ventilation and views. Despite its location within a historic hotel, the pizzeria's service is decidedly spartan and focused on practicality. Special mention goes to the lively young woman who manages almost everything on her own, and—probably—the only thing she doesn't do is prepare the pizza. In conclusion, this is a less formal pizzeria experience than one might imagine from the outside, with few frills and affordable prices for the most classic of pizzas that each of us is undoubtedly accustomed to and accustomed to in our own place of residence.

18/02/2026: Very bad! I waited a long time for someone to come and take my order, a long wait for all the dishes, and most importantly, when paying, a DIFFERENT PRICE TAG!! The wine was calculated differently than on the menu!!! The service charge was 3 euros, although they didn't fit at all!!!!! Don't go there!! The name on the street is different now!

05/01/2026: We stayed at this resort for three nights and had a truly positive experience. The real added value is the staff: wonderful and always available. Special thanks go to Stephane, the bartender and chef, who welcomed us every morning with a smile and spectacular breakfasts: his homemade cakes and brioches are unforgettable! The rooms are lovely and very clean. My only small complaint concerns the housekeeping service: I was disappointed that the bathroom wasn't cleaned daily. Overall, however, it's an excellent property where we would gladly return.

11/10/2025: Excellent restaurant! Every course, from appetizer to dessert, was delicious! The chef and his staff are incredibly experienced, bringing quality and kindness to the table! Highly recommended!

17/02/2026: Not a pleasant experience. Half a portion of pasta for the little girl with four shrimp cost us 18 euros. The pizza, too, wasn't exactly pizza... small, half burnt, and barely any mozzarella. Avoid it... it's a shame we didn't read the other reviews before going.

14/02/2026: I enter, say hello, and the greeting isn't returned. The waitress ignores the customers in front of me, who leave after a few minutes. I approach the counter, and she ignores me. I go to the register because I have to get the receipt first, and she continues minding her own business. There's only one table of customers already served, me, the waitress, and maybe some ghosts only she sees. After five minutes, I left. I wonder if she noticed.

18/12/2025: Good morning, On November 30th, I visited your restaurant with my wife and ordered two smoothies. However, we noticed that the woman in charge of preparing them seemed visibly ill: she was barely able to speak, had a runny nose, and repeatedly touched her nose without gloves, then wiped her hands under her nose and handled the fruit. To avoid possible contamination, we decided to leave and interrupt the preparation, which had only just begun (they had only opened one pomegranate). A few days later, I returned to the restaurant and, after explaining what had happened, they refused to even refill the order.
