26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!

30/12/2025: The pizza dough was excellent. The only downside, personally, was the lack of personality in the combinations of ingredients; the pizzas were "ordinary" and not overly daring, but very well made. The service was friendly and fast, and the desserts were also good. The dining room we ate in wasn't particularly spacious, but frankly, we didn't care. I'd suggest making the most of the room facing the street, giving it priority. At first, we thought the place was empty, and at first glance, that might not be the best advertisement. In any case, a pleasant surprise; we'll definitely be back.

18/03/2026: I usually come to this restaurant for fish. Personally, I think it's the best in the area. The mixed antipasto is noteworthy. The wine list is well-structured. Last time, I also tried an excellent rum paired with dark chocolate.

06/04/2026: The pizza was good, the zonzelle were excellent... The staff, despite the chaos, were very kind and courteous. The price was average; in fact, I'd say excellent value. Every year, it's a great place to stop by for aperitifs or dinner in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind. The products served are excellent. A must-try. I recommend it, you won't regret it.

22/03/2026: Good food, business lunches, friendly and informal staff, they put you at ease. The atmosphere is casual but in line with the price and type of service. Parking is available in a small square around the corner. The coffee and pastries at the counter are also very good.

04/03/2026: The staff were very welcoming. It's a small corner shop, the kind of place that looks delicious because they don't spend a penny on advertising. The cheese pizza was excellent; the cheese portion was generous, and the bread itself was really good. It had a thick crust, about two or three centimeters thick, with a hydrated dough, large air pockets, and a chewy, elastic texture. But underneath, there was a very thin, incredibly crispy crust. In other words, it achieved a perfect balance between the crispy bottom and the moist, chewy interior – a truly outstanding crust. You absolutely must try it if you're passing by!

30/11/2025: No, I didn't like the pizza, chewy, rubbery, the tomato was sour, actually very sour. Out of respect for those who work, I rarely leave negative reviews, but here I was almost disappointed. I had wanted to go for a long time and I was deeply disappointed. I had a half-meter large pizza, a simple margherita, "luckily." Even my partner left it on the table more than halfway, the crust said it was not edible, cold and rubbery, nothing come on... I always see it full and that's the essential thing for them, I'm happy for them that people go there anyway... I didn't like it at all, but I'm worth a 1 and I think my review, even if negative, remains an end in itself. The coffee was very bad, even that seemed like barley because it was so watery...
