14/01/2026: My husband and I have become very fond of this pizzeria. We've been in the area several times for diagnostic tests at the nearby Ospedale del Cuore, and for us, it's always a pleasant opportunity to have lunch at this truly top-notch place. All kinds of schiacciatine, pizzas, and more—truly superb!!! Highly recommended, also for the people who run it: kind and welcoming. Compliments also for the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. Well done!

21/12/2025: We've been to this restaurant three times, but this time we were disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Valpolicella Classico 2017 for €55, which was served to us already in a decanter, with the bottle empty and open, without showing us the label. A decanter should only be brought upon request, not to be sneaky with an already empty bottle. We politely asked for the bottle to be opened in front of us, and the staff corrected the procedure, but this deception has convinced us not to return. A restaurant should always respect proper wine service procedures.

04/03/2026: Yesterday, I took a friend from China to eat their Florentine steak, building on my positive experience in February, when I was truly satisfied with the quality of the meat. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience was completely different. We ordered a Florentine steak at €70 per kilo, for a total of 1.4 kg. Trusting the restaurant, I didn't check the meat carefully when it was presented. Once served, however, I found myself faced with a steak with an excessive and unacceptable amount of fat: about a third of the total weight. This means that of the 1.4 kg paid at full price, about 0.4 kg was practically nothing but fat. At €70 per kilo, this is simply unjustifiable. The dessert offered by the waiter as "compensation" doesn't change the essence of the problem. Once I got home, I compared the photos of the real Florentine steak I'd eaten at the same restaurant in February with the one I'd eaten yesterday. It's clear that the steak served yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak. Therefore, it should never have been sold at €70 per kilo. Furthermore, I strongly suspect that the meat shown before cooking wasn't the same as the one actually served at the table, because it looked different and didn't have that disproportionate amount of fat. In summary: 1. I believe the meat shown and the meat served were not the same. 2. The steak I ate yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak, and the price charged was, in my opinion, unfair. A deeply disappointing experience, especially considering the trust I had placed in this restaurant. Additional comments The reason this experience disappointed me so deeply is precisely the trust I had in you. In February, I ate an excellent Florentine steak there, which left me completely satisfied. It was that positive experience that convinced me to return and bring a friend from China with me. Precisely because of this trust, when the steak was shown to me before cooking, I didn't feel the need to carefully analyze it. I relied on the quality I had already experienced. Once served, however, the amount of fat seemed excessive, about a third of the total weight in 1.4 kg at €70 per kilo. At this price, I expect a decent balance of meat and fat. The real disappointment came once I got home. Comparing the photographs of the Fiorentina I ate in February with the one served yesterday, the difference was clear. The cut, the meat-to-fat ratio, and the overall appearance were not the same. And this is precisely what I can't understand: why do two steaks sold as "Bistecca alla Fiorentina" in the same restaurant appear so different in quality and characteristics? In my experience, the one I ate in February represents what I consider a true Fiorentina, while the one served yesterday wasn't up to par. My disappointment isn't born out of controversy, but rather from the disappointment of seeing quality that doesn't match the asking price and the previous experience that had made me return with confidence. I share this reflection with respect, but also with sincerity.

22/11/2025: After we booked, they sent us away saying they'd run out of pizza dough!!! We were speechless...

04/11/2025: Personally, we didn't enjoy it. We ordered a seafood risotto, which arrived completely overcooked and had a rather questionable flavor. A plate of pasta with an inedible sauce and pizzas that were barely adequate.

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!

25/12/2025: The food is excellent. I don't know what the wine is like because I don't drink alcohol if I have to drive like so many others do in Italy who then crash into guardrails and kill innocent people... 🤷 If you have to drive to Milan and already start drinking wine here, I don't know how far you'll go... ..hoping you don't kill innocent people.. 🤷

20/12/2025: The portions were really small, both for the entrees and the side dishes. Unfortunately, we didn't take photos, but the portions weren't like the ones pictured here. A meager portion of fries for €4.50 is definitely too much. The place is very nice, and the service is quick.

18/10/2025: Delicious pizzas with top-quality ingredients and a wood-fired oven!!! Hard to find anymore!! The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and thanks to them I've managed to move away from my usual ham and mushrooms!!! When I'm there, I recommend the current specialty pizzas, the one with pumpkin cream, provola cheese, and pancetta is indescribable!!! I give it 5 stars because there aren't any better!! I highly recommend it!!!!

07/03/2026: Dinner with friends. We ate five different pizza flavors spread across three boards, totaling 2.5 meters. We washed it down with five pints of beer and a good dessert. All at a great price.

23/02/2026: I discovered this place through social media with the videos of "Leo" and I chose to organize a lunch for 12 people. I was expecting only a scene like in the videos and a normal restaurant, but instead I was amazed by the quality of the dishes. We ordered platters that cost 13 euros if I remember correctly and were really generous, baked potatoes and spinach, a good kilo of really good and melt-in-the-mouth steak, a huge selection of beers and fast and cool service as they say in our parts. The owner is the soul of the place, ready to make you laugh even with off-the-line jokes. Compliments to everyone from the waiting staff to the kitchen and the owner.

20/09/2025: First class views of the lake but despicable low quality food. Not Italian style. Revolting actually. Both our meals were tasteless. Staff dirty tee shirts and obviously not caring enough to serve quality. Do not recommend. There are many lovely restaurants in the same town.

15/09/2025: Very good food, perfect service. We eat on the shores of Lake Sirio with a magnificent view.

21/02/2026: Terrible pizza delivery service. The pizzas arrived over an hour late, cold (the man walked them), and the prices were high for the quality.

14/02/2026: Takeaway pizzas are really bad, with no toppings on top, IRREGULAR shapes, thrown in "randomly," and even with burnt edges. MONEY WASTED AWAY. It's no longer the pizza of years ago, and I say this because I've eaten it several times, not just once to say it was a fluke... I will certainly NEVER buy them from them again.

30/11/2025: No, I didn't like the pizza, chewy, rubbery, the tomato was sour, actually very sour. Out of respect for those who work, I rarely leave negative reviews, but here I was almost disappointed. I had wanted to go for a long time and I was deeply disappointed. I had a half-meter large pizza, a simple margherita, "luckily." Even my partner left it on the table more than halfway, the crust said it was not edible, cold and rubbery, nothing come on... I always see it full and that's the essential thing for them, I'm happy for them that people go there anyway... I didn't like it at all, but I'm worth a 1 and I think my review, even if negative, remains an end in itself. The coffee was very bad, even that seemed like barley because it was so watery...
