21/12/2025: We've been to this restaurant three times, but this time we were disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Valpolicella Classico 2017 for €55, which was served to us already in a decanter, with the bottle empty and open, without showing us the label. A decanter should only be brought upon request, not to be sneaky with an already empty bottle. We politely asked for the bottle to be opened in front of us, and the staff corrected the procedure, but this deception has convinced us not to return. A restaurant should always respect proper wine service procedures.

21/02/2026: Terrible pizza delivery service. The pizzas arrived over an hour late, cold (the man walked them), and the prices were high for the quality.
14/02/2026: Takeaway pizzas are really bad, with no toppings on top, IRREGULAR shapes, thrown in "randomly," and even with burnt edges. MONEY WASTED AWAY. It's no longer the pizza of years ago, and I say this because I've eaten it several times, not just once to say it was a fluke... I will certainly NEVER buy them from them again.

04/03/2026: Yesterday, I took a friend from China to eat their Florentine steak, building on my positive experience in February, when I was truly satisfied with the quality of the meat. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience was completely different. We ordered a Florentine steak at €70 per kilo, for a total of 1.4 kg. Trusting the restaurant, I didn't check the meat carefully when it was presented. Once served, however, I found myself faced with a steak with an excessive and unacceptable amount of fat: about a third of the total weight. This means that of the 1.4 kg paid at full price, about 0.4 kg was practically nothing but fat. At €70 per kilo, this is simply unjustifiable. The dessert offered by the waiter as "compensation" doesn't change the essence of the problem. Once I got home, I compared the photos of the real Florentine steak I'd eaten at the same restaurant in February with the one I'd eaten yesterday. It's clear that the steak served yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak. Therefore, it should never have been sold at €70 per kilo. Furthermore, I strongly suspect that the meat shown before cooking wasn't the same as the one actually served at the table, because it looked different and didn't have that disproportionate amount of fat. In summary: 1. I believe the meat shown and the meat served were not the same. 2. The steak I ate yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak, and the price charged was, in my opinion, unfair. A deeply disappointing experience, especially considering the trust I had placed in this restaurant. Additional comments The reason this experience disappointed me so deeply is precisely the trust I had in you. In February, I ate an excellent Florentine steak there, which left me completely satisfied. It was that positive experience that convinced me to return and bring a friend from China with me. Precisely because of this trust, when the steak was shown to me before cooking, I didn't feel the need to carefully analyze it. I relied on the quality I had already experienced. Once served, however, the amount of fat seemed excessive, about a third of the total weight in 1.4 kg at €70 per kilo. At this price, I expect a decent balance of meat and fat. The real disappointment came once I got home. Comparing the photographs of the Fiorentina I ate in February with the one served yesterday, the difference was clear. The cut, the meat-to-fat ratio, and the overall appearance were not the same. And this is precisely what I can't understand: why do two steaks sold as "Bistecca alla Fiorentina" in the same restaurant appear so different in quality and characteristics? In my experience, the one I ate in February represents what I consider a true Fiorentina, while the one served yesterday wasn't up to par. My disappointment isn't born out of controversy, but rather from the disappointment of seeing quality that doesn't match the asking price and the previous experience that had made me return with confidence. I share this reflection with respect, but also with sincerity.

21/01/2026: A solid 2 out of 2 after a few weeks, and still super positive. A historic restaurant located on the pedestrian street of San Vincenzo, offering tables both on the aquarium veranda and in the indoor dining rooms. Menu: - Pizza: Very good, whether classic, imaginative, or gourmet. From now on, my favorite in San Vincenzo. - Fish: I tried fried food, risotto, and pasta. Everything was great, perhaps the risotto was good, but not great; perhaps I was expecting it to be more "fishy." Prices: In line with local restaurants for quantity and quality, both for the pizza menu and the restaurant.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, between the elegant dining rooms and the veranda overlooking the pedestrian street, perfect for enjoying the flow of life. But the real star is the pizza. 26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!
