25/12/2025: The atmosphere was poorly heated, and the food was cold and served with stale bread. The only things we appreciated were the panzanelle and focaccia, served 45 minutes before the appetizer. To forget.

18/10/2025: Delicious pizzas with top-quality ingredients and a wood-fired oven!!! Hard to find anymore!! The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and thanks to them I've managed to move away from my usual ham and mushrooms!!! When I'm there, I recommend the current specialty pizzas, the one with pumpkin cream, provola cheese, and pancetta is indescribable!!! I give it 5 stars because there aren't any better!! I highly recommend it!!!!

22/11/2025: After we booked, they sent us away saying they'd run out of pizza dough!!! We were speechless...

04/11/2025: Personally, we didn't enjoy it. We ordered a seafood risotto, which arrived completely overcooked and had a rather questionable flavor. A plate of pasta with an inedible sauce and pizzas that were barely adequate.

07/03/2026: Dinner with friends. We ate five different pizza flavors spread across three boards, totaling 2.5 meters. We washed it down with five pints of beer and a good dessert. All at a great price.

23/02/2026: I discovered this place through social media with the videos of "Leo" and I chose to organize a lunch for 12 people. I was expecting only a scene like in the videos and a normal restaurant, but instead I was amazed by the quality of the dishes. We ordered platters that cost 13 euros if I remember correctly and were really generous, baked potatoes and spinach, a good kilo of really good and melt-in-the-mouth steak, a huge selection of beers and fast and cool service as they say in our parts. The owner is the soul of the place, ready to make you laugh even with off-the-line jokes. Compliments to everyone from the waiting staff to the kitchen and the owner.

26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

17/02/2026: Unfortunately, our experience at Ristorante Antica Porta was very disappointing, despite the food being objectively good. The service was extremely disorganized; the dishes arrived so far apart that some of us had already finished, while others had yet to begin. We waited an incredibly long time before we could even begin eating, making the experience frustrating from the start. The waiters also didn't seem to know what they were serving, demonstrating little preparation for the dishes brought to the table. The general feeling was that the slowdown and difficulties we encountered weren't acknowledged as the service's responsibility, but rather treated superficially. The most unpleasant part came at the end: while we were still finishing dessert, we were brought the receipt without asking for it, and while we were still seated at the table, they began clearing the table before our eyes, even starting with the water bottles. There was also a small child at the table who, at the end of the meal, wasn't even allowed to drink because the bottles had already been taken away, after having already waited a long time for her food. This was truly rude and disrespectful behavior toward the customers. It's a real shame, because the food is worth it, but none of the people at the table are willing to return, given the overall experience.

03/02/2026: The service is amazing. Went with a big group and was treated amazing. The staff really puts and effort and it shows! The food is unbelievable, the prices are more than fair , and the quality.... wow. So good went 3 times in 3 days. Recommended to everyone!

07/11/2025: Ten out of ten. The pizza is thin and crispy, with a variety of flavors to choose from. I'll definitely be back; it's a place that feels warm even when it's cold outside. Plus, I love the concept of being able to see all the ingredients being cut and the pizza dough being made!

14/02/2026: Takeaway pizzas are really bad, with no toppings on top, IRREGULAR shapes, thrown in "randomly," and even with burnt edges. MONEY WASTED AWAY. It's no longer the pizza of years ago, and I say this because I've eaten it several times, not just once to say it was a fluke... I will certainly NEVER buy them from them again.

07/09/2025: We found it by chance on our way back from a weekend in Orvieto. We ordered the mixed crostini, tagliatelle with rabbit ragù and crème brulee. The food was homemade and delicious, and I'd definitely return. The service was neither excellent nor infamous.

06/09/2025: It's a great idea to get off the highway and eat here instead of at a rest stop. It's a small place, but perfect for a quick stop and some typical dishes without breaking the bank.

25/12/2025: The food is excellent. I don't know what the wine is like because I don't drink alcohol if I have to drive like so many others do in Italy who then crash into guardrails and kill innocent people... 🤷 If you have to drive to Milan and already start drinking wine here, I don't know how far you'll go... ..hoping you don't kill innocent people.. 🤷

20/12/2025: The portions were really small, both for the entrees and the side dishes. Unfortunately, we didn't take photos, but the portions weren't like the ones pictured here. A meager portion of fries for €4.50 is definitely too much. The place is very nice, and the service is quick.

15/12/2025: December 2025 The last time we ate here for an 18th birthday (about a year or two ago), we had a great time; the pizza was good, and we had a fantastic evening. The opposite happened a week ago, for a friend's birthday. The real problem was the pizzas: all burned, not just one or two, but about 15. I was the only one who didn't order one (and I thought I'd made the right choice). Until I was presented with an overcooked, unappealing burger, with about 30 grams (no exaggeration) of vegetables (all for about €17-18, and the vegetables were an extra charge instead of fries). Not to mention the drinks, about €6.50 for a really poorly poured draft beer. I would have been truly happy to have spent my €25.40 on a good dinner, especially since, after ordering bottles and other things to celebrate, they could have given us 40 cents each on a total of about €400 and made it a nice sum. Last but not least, if they wanted some of our cake, they could have let us know, instead of keeping it quiet and keeping it, since we forgot about it in the confusion. But I think at this point they didn't mind, especially since it was very good. That said, maybe it was a coincidence, but I won't be returning. Edit for the reply: Good evening, I see you didn't like the review, but I didn't imagine you'd call us begging us to take it down, offering us discount coupons in exchange, etc. The review remains to report an experience, nothing more, nothing less. I just wanted to share this unpleasant experience. It's possible to mess up service, but when all the dishes come out wrong, you have to admit it (burned or cooked incorrectly, it doesn't matter, they're not good, period, and I recognize our mistake in not saying anything at the end of the dinner). You suggested we send all the dishes back, but that was impossible. It would have been downright mean to send back about 15 dishes on a Saturday night after waiting about an hour, given how many of us there were; we probably finished by 1 a.m., not to mention the stress on the staff. Also, I didn't even dare insult your background—as you called me, brewmaster or pastry chef—since that seems childish to me. Regarding the cake, we kindly offered to cut it ourselves so as not to disturb anyone, so I don't see the point of mentioning it. That said, if you can't take criticism (since your response was capped with insults), I'm sorry. The staff, however, was kind and helpful; no criticism of them. Have a good evening.

08/11/2025: We ordered seven pizzas for delivery, and they forgot to bring one, misplacing the order even though we'd texted them the number of pizzas. We received the pizza over half an hour later. A very bad experience, and I'll never go back.
