I returned for fish, and the prices are fair. The wait for the dishes was a bit long, but the place was busy, and a bit of a wait is expected.

07/12/2025: On Saturdays and Sundays, the wait for takeout can be long; it's best to order pizza in advance. I assume it can also be long to eat in the dining room, based on what I've seen while waiting for takeout pizzas. I plan on eating there soon, even though the dining room is small (I think they open an outdoor area in a small courtyard in the summer) and some tables are right up against the counter where takeout waits. The pizza, however, is excellent, in terms of size and consistency, more similar to Roman pizza than Neapolitan pizza. The dough is excellent, and the toppings are excellent and plentiful. The fried panzerotti are excellent; they're generously sized and the fillings are appropriate.

13/03/2026: I had a great time, the food was very good and the timing was perfect. Viola served us, she was really helpful and smiling, she even took a group photo of us even though she was very busy. They also welcomed my large dog without any problem, I'll definitely be back!

I admit it, I'm from Pisa and I came to Livorno for pizza.
Do I regret it? CERTAINLY NOT!
Brought here by a dear friend, five of us had dinner to spend a quiet evening together, as we do from time to time.
It was a more than welcome discovery.
I went there after a day spent out and about without a moment's rest and with a measly sandwich for lunch just to put something to my stomach, so when I got there, I was definitely hungry.
I left full, satisfied, not weighed down, and with a smile on my face.
Andrea is a top-notch host.
He's very attentive to what he does, in love with his work, and with a great attention to his customers and all their most unlikely cravings.
Oh right... Passion, so much, a rare thing these days in these places.
Very fair and modest prices. Spending €24 each for everything we ate and drank, including desserts and coffee/punch, is truly nothing.
The place is small, but very personal. Carefully and unmistakably decorated, there was truly a touch of Andrea everywhere. Reservations are recommended, even just out of respect for their organization.
The fact is, I ordered a "Lo Squalo," a decidedly rich and flavorful pizza. I asked for a modification due to my inability to appreciate gorgonzola, but Andrea offered to replace it with another dairy-based ingredient, which I definitely found useful and tasty during the pizza tasting.
The only real problem there was one: the chickpea cake was MORTAL.
It was our appetizer (with the addition of eggplant, both spicy and mild, kindly offered by Andrea), and nothing, it did any harm. I was tempted to get up after eating it and cancel my pizza so I could continue eating more! Well, I'm obsessed with cecina, so it was truly love at first bite!
To finish our dinner, after we ordered dessert, Andrea even offered us an amaro, which was a welcome and much appreciated (King Kong ♥)!
Andrea's wife and the other girl (alas, I don't know their names) who served us throughout the evening were also very kind and helpful.

13/07/2025: Excelente comida a un precio razonable, de gestión familiar. Andrea es Italiano de tercera generación dirigiendo este restaurante. Gran servicio y comida! Teníamos pastas, parmigiana de berenjena y ñoquis. Teníamos pastel de abuelas y tiramisú de postre que eran excelentes. Este tiramisú fue diferente a otros que hemos tenido en nuestro tour de comida y vino de Umbría y Toscana, que termina en Roma. ¡Ambos fueron increíbles! Sin duda recomiendo este restaurante!

04/03/2026: Yesterday, I took a friend from China to eat their Florentine steak, building on my positive experience in February, when I was truly satisfied with the quality of the meat.
Unfortunately, yesterday's experience was completely different.
We ordered a Florentine steak at €70 per kilo, for a total of 1.4 kg. Trusting the restaurant, I didn't check the meat carefully when it was presented. Once served, however, I found myself faced with a steak with an excessive and unacceptable amount of fat: about a third of the total weight. This means that of the 1.4 kg paid at full price, about 0.4 kg was practically nothing but fat. At €70 per kilo, this is simply unjustifiable.
The dessert offered by the waiter as "compensation" doesn't change the essence of the problem.
Once I got home, I compared the photos of the real Florentine steak I'd eaten at the same restaurant in February with the one I'd eaten yesterday. It's clear that the steak served yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak. Therefore, it should never have been sold at €70 per kilo.
Furthermore, I strongly suspect that the meat shown before cooking wasn't the same as the one actually served at the table, because it looked different and didn't have that disproportionate amount of fat.
In summary:
1. I believe the meat shown and the meat served were not the same.
2. The steak I ate yesterday wasn't a real Florentine steak, and the price charged was, in my opinion, unfair.
A deeply disappointing experience, especially considering the trust I had placed in this restaurant.
Additional comments
The reason this experience disappointed me so deeply is precisely the trust I had in you. In February, I ate an excellent Florentine steak there, which left me completely satisfied. It was that positive experience that convinced me to return and bring a friend from China with me.
Precisely because of this trust, when the steak was shown to me before cooking, I didn't feel the need to carefully analyze it. I relied on the quality I had already experienced.
Once served, however, the amount of fat seemed excessive, about a third of the total weight in 1.4 kg at €70 per kilo. At this price, I expect a decent balance of meat and fat.
The real disappointment came once I got home. Comparing the photographs of the Fiorentina I ate in February with the one served yesterday, the difference was clear. The cut, the meat-to-fat ratio, and the overall appearance were not the same.
And this is precisely what I can't understand: why do two steaks sold as "Bistecca alla Fiorentina" in the same restaurant appear so different in quality and characteristics? In my experience, the one I ate in February represents what I consider a true Fiorentina, while the one served yesterday wasn't up to par.
My disappointment isn't born out of controversy, but rather from the disappointment of seeing quality that doesn't match the asking price and the previous experience that had made me return with confidence.
I share this reflection with respect, but also with sincerity.

13/03/2026: The pizza is really good, they make everything gluten-free, safe for celiacs, and the dough is delicious.
As for me, I'm vegan, and I get the vegan 4-cheese pizza from them; it's fabulous.
The staff is friendly, I recommend everyone to try it 🥰✨️🫶
