I returned for fish, and the prices are fair. The wait for the dishes was a bit long, but the place was busy, and a bit of a wait is expected.

03/04/2026: We had gluten-free pizza. It's a pre-made Margherita, and you can order it with extra toppings. It's cooked in the same oven as the regular pizza. The regular pizza was also good.

06/04/2026: Very rustic, run by the super friendly Mama Ida. She makes really good pizzas in her wood-fired oven. The crust is thin and the toppings are more than generous, with a real tomato flavor. Pizzas in the old town are more expensive and not as good. The seating is very basic, and everything is available to go. We went to Mama Ida's twice in three days.

18/03/2026: I usually come to this restaurant for fish. Personally, I think it's the best in the area. The mixed antipasto is noteworthy. The wine list is well-structured. Last time, I also tried an excellent rum paired with dark chocolate.

13/03/2026: I had a great time, the food was very good and the timing was perfect. Viola served us, she was really helpful and smiling, she even took a group photo of us even though she was very busy. They also welcomed my large dog without any problem, I'll definitely be back!

One of the ordered dishes (grilled vegetables) was missing and an additional bottle of water was added to the bill.
It all came together to make a rather disappointing impression.
03/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant in the center of Montalcino... Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and truly delicious food... Highly recommended are the pici all'aglione.

13/07/2025: Excelente comida a un precio razonable, de gestión familiar. Andrea es Italiano de tercera generación dirigiendo este restaurante. Gran servicio y comida! Teníamos pastas, parmigiana de berenjena y ñoquis. Teníamos pastel de abuelas y tiramisú de postre que eran excelentes. Este tiramisú fue diferente a otros que hemos tenido en nuestro tour de comida y vino de Umbría y Toscana, que termina en Roma. ¡Ambos fueron increíbles! Sin duda recomiendo este restaurante!

04/11/2025: Personally, we didn't enjoy it.
We ordered a seafood risotto, which arrived completely overcooked and had a rather questionable flavor.
A plate of pasta with an inedible sauce and pizzas that were barely adequate.

27/12/2025: The veranda-like dining room, filled with artificial plants, is welcoming. The waiters are friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the pizza isn't to my taste because it has a crust that resembles crackers, but I realize that's how Tuscans like it. I, even though I'm Tuscan, don't.

07/02/2026: We arrived an hour after our reservation because our table was being prepared. When we entered, there were no glasses or plates, and they were all piled up on one table. We had a pizza round, and since it was getting late, we were still hungry at the end of the round. The food was good, but overall it wasn't worth €20 per person.

03/04/2026: Delicious pizza at a fair price. The staff was incredibly friendly. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they went out of their way to find us a table and accommodate the children's special requests. 🙏

I was here the week before Easter and they offered us a delicious Colomba cake.
