05/05/2025: Stasera, 22esima cena in questo locale, ho mangiato superlativamente come sempre, ma tra una delizia ed un’altra mi sono dilettato a leggere qualche collega advisor 2 in particolare mi hanno intrigato, lasciandomi sbigottito dalla falsità e dalla cattiveria nei confronti di un posto che merita solo lodi Le riassumo avendo dato gli stessi spunti di riflessione a chi leggerà le loro recensioni Martina N. e Andrea B. che invito all’imparzialità ed alla correttezza morale Di seguito il messaggio in replica: “Con stasera sono esattamente 22 cene fatte in questo ristorante, da solo e con i miei amici e ogni volta è una sublimazione sia delle materie prime sia dell’ impeccabile servizio in sala Tralascio la pizzeria, qualcosa di fuori di testa, insolita eccellenza di cotture a legna all’interno di un ristorante Strano che questa recensione così negativa sia sgorgata dalla stessa penna di 2 positivissime di un posto esattamente alle spalle dell’Oca, l’antica trattoria Toscana, coincidenza???”

01/03/2026: Be careful where you leave your jackets! Bring them to your table or nearby, and don't let the waiters tell you to leave them on the coat rack at the entrance because my companion exchanged a new Canadian jacket for a Bata women's jacket. I understand it was a mistake, but whoever took the jacket kept it (and I believe them!). Since the waiters explicitly asked us not to bring the jacket to the table, I expected some acknowledgement of responsibility from the restaurant. Everything else about the food was fine.

21/08/2025: All the pizzas are big and delicious! It's always crowded, so a little late is fine :)

06/02/2026: Top-quality local food. Despite arriving outside of operating hours, the restaurant promptly prepared a quick meal for our family. They were very kind.

27/09/2025: The worst place I've ever been to, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! They don't know the difference between stracchino and mascarpone, they don't ask about intolerances, and the pizza rounds are just to help the pizza chef avoid going crazy. I didn't eat and I spent a lot of money, truly embarrassing. 90 years to celebrate, but to forget because of the place. The owner probably doesn't even work there!!!

16/11/2025: A pub in the city center that often hosts various musical events. Excellent burgers and good beers. A pleasant place to be.

12/12/2025: The best thing is that it's always open and they're quite quick to serve you. There's no table service; you have to take your order and open your own drinks...it's just a pizzeria al taglio, nothing more. The pizzas and focaccia are very good, and sometimes, if they're lucky, they make cecina (cured beef) and castagnaccio (a type of Catalan sausage) when it's in season.

15/10/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at PortaVia restaurant and want to compliment the high quality of the food and service. The grilled octopus, executed with impeccable skill, deserves a special mention: the texture was perfectly balanced, tender yet slightly crunchy on the outside. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the staff is professional, and the attention to detail contributes to an overall excellent experience.

07/09/2025: We had very high expectations, due to the good reviews of this place, after a two-hour journey, we were slightly disappointed by the quality of the food, unfortunately everything was bland, the mushrooms were really flavourless, the only positive note was the natural egg salad, delicious! Too bad

12/10/2025: We went for lunch today. The chef and the person who served us were extremely kind. We had two calamaratas, a burrata ravioli, a rice gnudo, a mussel pepper dish, and a hamburger. The dishes were truly delicious and beautifully presented. The chef also gave us a truly special dessert: an extra portion of ravioli for my daughter, who was still hungry. He also brought my wife a sample of calamarata, as he put it, "so she wouldn't go away craving it." It's rare to find such quality and kindness toward customers as the charming chef Stefano showed us. We had a good laugh over the combination of local cuisine and refined food, which is truly rare. The price was more than fair. When and if we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

18/01/2026: We tried the spicy salami one and their signature one with the cheese and the ham without tomato sauce . Except of the truth that they were kind of oily, and the one lady had bad sense of humor making herself almost rude, it was a decent tasty experience. I recommend it.

17/01/2026: A great find, 100% recommended, right behind Piazza del Campo. The pizza al taglio is delicious; they recommend ordering it with a thin and crispy crust. We ordered the prosciutto-stuffed pizza (a specialty) and the sausage pizza, and both were excellent. Perfect for ordering and eating in Siena's main square.

25/01/2026: A truly delicious pizza. Both in terms of dough and ingredients. Wide selection of beers available, especially craft beers. Friendly staff and good prices. Highly recommended!
