05/01/2026: GOOD MORNING We had a really WONDERFUL New Year's Eve dinner!!!! The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and the timing was perfect so we could then go out and stroll before celebrating midnight. The price was RIGHT!!!! We'll definitely be back. 04/01/2026: ...we were with a group of camper friends... 30 people for New Year's Eve!! What can I say... the food was excellent, the service was perfect, and the location was very nice, very close to the main square!! We had a great time, and they even set aside a room just for us!! Everything was delicious... the tagliatelle with duck ragù and the tagliata were sublime... and the chocolate salami was top notch!! Thank you so much!!

08/03/2026: Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The host was helpful and welcoming. Breakfast included excellent cappuccino and homemade cake. I've stayed here several times for work, and I really enjoyed it.

09/03/2026: The price is perhaps a little higher than average, but the service is courteous and fast. We weren't thrilled with the first courses, which were a bit disjointed and lacking in fish sauce. The lasagna and the delicious second courses were truly a small portion. Overall, a fairly positive experience.

01/02/2026: What can I say? I went there recently. The welcome was fantastic, very friendly, fast, and always on point. They make sure you don't miss anything. We ate well. We ordered the appetizer Nicola with affection, cheese, and tomato and bean bruschetta. The flavor was fresh. The cured meats were good and flavorful. The bruschetta was delicious and well-topped. The cheese was tasty, although a little fresh for my taste, but it had a good flavor. You can taste the flavor of our land, Arezzo. Then we had pizzas in various ways. The thin pastry was good, well-cooked and topped with equally good toppings. The price was fair. I recommend it. The only thing that's a little lacking, although it's clean and tidy, is the atmosphere. Otherwise, we had a great time and had lots of laughs with the owners, who were truly hospitable and kind, and the lovely waitresses.

01/03/2026: Be careful where you leave your jackets! Bring them to your table or nearby, and don't let the waiters tell you to leave them on the coat rack at the entrance because my companion exchanged a new Canadian jacket for a Bata women's jacket. I understand it was a mistake, but whoever took the jacket kept it (and I believe them!). Since the waiters explicitly asked us not to bring the jacket to the table, I expected some acknowledgement of responsibility from the restaurant. Everything else about the food was fine.

09/02/2026: A little gem in Seccheto on Elba Island, a restaurant with simple furnishings, well-spaced tables, and a tidy, clean atmosphere. The menu is classy and substantial, with a young chef whose creativity and professionalism are astonishing. The dining room staff is attentive and very knowledgeable. Excellent value for money. A wonderful discovery! Highly recommended.

27/01/2026: We used to come to Elba every September. We didn't go for five years, and here we are back in 2025. Vecchio Forno was one of our favorite restaurants on the island. You could eat fresh, local produce there. In five years, things have clearly changed. New management? New owner? In any case, there's very little fresh produce. The fish is frozen. There are no vegetables, or very few. When there are, like that tiny zucchini cake appetizer whose price is as exorbitant as its size, they're cooked and you can't recognize the look or taste of fresh produce. In short, the entire menu is designed to manage stock from the freezer as easily as possible. To top it all off, there was a plastic lid in the tiramisu. In short, an establishment to avoid. It's a shame they destroyed this place, which prided itself on serving only fresh, local products.

11/01/2026: EDIT: As promised, I'm back, but this time for the first round. I can confirm that the pizza is delicious: everyone loved it. I chose Toni's yellow pizza with turmeric-infused multigrain dough, pistachio cream, and it was amazing. Unfortunately, I have to confirm that the desserts aren't up to the level of the pizzas: this time, I tried the chocolate crumble, and rather than crumbling, it was very hard and tasted too sugary. The only dessert I'd try again is the Nutella pizza. It's a shame, but it's still worth going back for the pizza and maybe try the fried food. ps. Review raised to 4 stars. END EDIT. I'll start by saying that the pizza is excellent, one of the best I've had in Pisa and beyond. The menu is very extensive, actually, with so many options, some very similar, that it's easy to get confused (and I don't see this as a pro). The prices are average, but considering the quality of the product, it's worth it. Unfortunately, the location is small, and since they also do takeout, it can be a bit confusing. What I didn't like was the service, or rather, the wait: we booked a table at 9:30 PM and received the pizzas at around 10:50 PM... and to add insult to injury, when we asked for dessert at the end of the meal, most of it was sold out, while the fried calzone with Nutella (I don't remember the exact name of the dessert) was denied because the oven (or fryer) was turned off. So, you make me wait 1.5 hours for the pizza to be delivered, and then, since it's late, I can't have dessert because you turned off the oven? Well, I don't know. The other desserts weren't the best: the cannoli has a good crust, but the filling is a distant relative of the real sheep's milk ricotta that a real cannoli should contain. The cheesecake was very tasty, but the cheese was too soft. In any case, I'll be back and hope to have a better experience and improve my review accordingly.

12/10/2025: We went for lunch today. The chef and the person who served us were extremely kind. We had two calamaratas, a burrata ravioli, a rice gnudo, a mussel pepper dish, and a hamburger. The dishes were truly delicious and beautifully presented. The chef also gave us a truly special dessert: an extra portion of ravioli for my daughter, who was still hungry. He also brought my wife a sample of calamarata, as he put it, "so she wouldn't go away craving it." It's rare to find such quality and kindness toward customers as the charming chef Stefano showed us. We had a good laugh over the combination of local cuisine and refined food, which is truly rare. The price was more than fair. When and if we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.
