15/08/2025: Bati Bati is now an institution in Marina di Carrara; I think even the lifeguard in the back row knows it. The atmosphere is simple, no frills, no flex—and that's fine. They serve both pizza and a restaurant, and obviously, in the middle of August, this combo means the kitchen sometimes takes a breather... as it did for us. No dramas, it was the Ferragosto holiday after all. The penne with scampi? A caress for the soul, 100% comfort food vibes. I tried the pizzas quickly, and the one with zucchini flowers, in my opinion, had more to tell. The fried food took a bit too long to arrive, but when it arrived... it was good, average, the kind that won't change your life but will keep you company. In short: a solid 3.5, a place that tells a bit of the history of Marina di Carrara, still frozen in certain postcards of the past... but with that charm that makes you say "come on, I'll go back".

28/08/2025: We had a great time at dinner last night, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was plentiful and tasty. A great find, we'll definitely be back.

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.

24/08/2025: Great for aperitifs and cocktails, great beer, and live bands. Also recommended for birthday parties and board games.

13/08/2025: The garden is tastefully furnished, although the seating is made of wooden platforms and benches. The lights and canopy with tulle curtains create a dramatic effect. Young and friendly staff. Quiz nights. Excellent aperitifs and excellent beers.

12/10/2025: We went for lunch today. The chef and the person who served us were extremely kind. We had two calamaratas, a burrata ravioli, a rice gnudo, a mussel pepper dish, and a hamburger. The dishes were truly delicious and beautifully presented. The chef also gave us a truly special dessert: an extra portion of ravioli for my daughter, who was still hungry. He also brought my wife a sample of calamarata, as he put it, "so she wouldn't go away craving it." It's rare to find such quality and kindness toward customers as the charming chef Stefano showed us. We had a good laugh over the combination of local cuisine and refined food, which is truly rare. The price was more than fair. When and if we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

06/10/2025: The restaurant is located on the first floor and overlooks the Terrazza Mascagni, overlooking the sea. The staff is courteous and attentive to customer needs. We ordered two grilled pizzas of different flavors, along with two drinks, and they arrived on the pan fairly quickly. The dough wasn't as expected, either under-risen or undercooked and soft. The final bill was in line with the price. Overall, decent.

11/10/2025: We celebrated my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. Even though we chose a simple dinner, they took great care in everything, from the table settings to the customization of the menus to the beautiful cake. The service was top-notch, very helpful and kind. The food was a guarantee. The cold cuts were of excellent quality, the two excellent first courses and one tagliata was really good. I recommend it.

03/10/2025: A welcoming, family-run restaurant. A delightful blend of traditional recipes, flavors, and a fine selection of wines. All this in the Chianti countryside. Five stars are not enough.

04/10/2025: Patrizia and I had dinner at Piropo. We loved the place. The staff was courteous and attentive. We decided to order two pizzas. I must say the pizza I had tonight was truly special. Perfect dough, cooked just right. The mozzarella and other ingredients in my 4 Seasons pizza were plentiful and of high quality. The draft beer was also good. A place where we can talk, without the loud music. We'll be back for lunch or dinner to enjoy one of the many first and second courses on their menu. Piropo is definitely a place worth trying.

27/09/2025: Good pizzas, period. An evening with colleagues, a table set with plastic placemats, a welcoming atmosphere, low background music, and a TV turned down to watch a soccer match. The staff was friendly but slow: with the place half-empty, it took 20 minutes just to take our order. They favor "gourmet" and somewhat niche products, unfortunately lacking alternatives (both for the sparkling wine, the beers—out of tap—and even for water, available only in half-liter glass bottles). The pizzas arrived quickly: well-topped, well-cooked, excellent dough, and fair prices. When ordering, we were also offered the multigrain dough (which I tried: good). Homemade desserts, listed verbally: personally, I don't like this approach; I'd prefer a menu with prices and allergens, even just on a chalkboard, so I could confirm what was actually available. The pastiera was good, small but interesting; The babà, on the other hand, was unfortunately completely dry inside: decent flavor, but forgettable without the syrup. The coffee was served without clearing the dessert plates first, so it was just left out wherever it could be found. Halfway through the meal, they turned up the music to play "Happy Birthday" for a nearby table, but forgot to turn it down: the playlist continued on its own at a high volume, making it difficult to talk. In summary: Pros: The pizza was really good, with gourmet options, and a selection of niche products. Cons: Plastic placemats (I'd prefer a tablecloth, even a disposable one, to rest my cutlery on); friendly but inattentive service, music too loud, organization in need of rethinking, lack of alternatives to niche products.

30/08/2025: It's been a while since I've been there. The place was packed. The atmosphere was modern and welcoming, with outdoor space. My review focuses on the pizza. Selected products of the highest quality! The combinations were studied to make the delicate flavors particularly tasty. Delicious. It's not just any pizza, but a gourmet pizza. Where the owner carefully and meticulously creates her pizzas. The Neapolitan mixed fried fish was truly delicious! Those who ate the simpler dishes were not satisfied. The service was a bit slow and disorganized despite the rush. The staff was very kind and ready to serve the customer. Overall, a positive experience. Definitely worth returning.

02/11/2025: I'd been to this pizzeria a few years ago with friends and it had made a great impression on me. I went back with my girlfriend, and it didn't disappoint. They had a wide selection of beers and pizza doughs. The pizzas were soft, thin, and had just the right amount of ingredients. The pistachio dessert was so good, even I, who's not a big fan of sweets, had it. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

06/09/2025: I was here in early September for lunch. Spaghetti with sausage for my daughter and pizza for me. Unfortunately, I'm forced to give the food a poor rating. The pizza seemed frozen, the spaghetti tasted like nothing, and the poor-quality beer tasted like sparkling water. Although the place is beautiful and the waiters are professional, they work hard because they're in the center of Florence and have daily staff turnover. If it were a restaurant on the outskirts of town, it would have closed a long time ago.

27/08/2025: It was quiet when I visited ... but that could be as I arrived just after 7:30, and everywhere is at that time in F. The campari spritz were tip top, and the food looked amazing, but I didn't eat.
