11/12/2024: Management recently changed, but the pizza chef is the same. Very good chickpea cake, their aubergines delicious, I haven't tried the pizza yet. Clean and rather new environment, even if a little "cold" for a pizzeria. Fast service (I only tried takeaway), but it's always best to book. The manager is courteous.

04/11/2024: We had a wonderful evening. The restaurant offers a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere with very kind staff. The dishes were delicious, I particularly recommend the pici with ragù, but the rest was also excellent. The location is strategic and also offers convenient parking. Super recommended ❤️

25/10/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch several times at the Il Castagno da Nichi restaurant and I was always impressed by the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a picturesque location, immersed in the Tuscan scrub. The interior is rustic and welcoming, with exposed beams and wooden furnishings. The menu offers a vast selection of typical Tuscan dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every time I set foot at Castagno da Nichi it's like coming home. The familiar and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the quality of the food, always excites me.

05/08/2024: Unbelievably good pizza, bread: excellent, tomato sauce: excellent, garnish: excellent. If you don’t try a pizza here. You have not been experienced what a true Italian pizza is. Blown away! Try the garden for seating, very cozy. If you don’t have the time. Do take away. We live in hostel: Florence plus and to grab a pizza here on the way home is a minimum! Yum!

01/12/2024: Today we wanted to spend a nice day in Livorno. It was a beautiful sunny day then thanks to my cousin Luna Caprese who recommended this restaurant to us. We ate really well, generous and good portions, I recommend it. There is a friendly and kind waiter who also recommended the very kind owner. Anyway, everything is fine. Thanks again, we'll definitely be back.

19/10/2024: Very nice owners and very friendly staff. The food is different from other restaurants as the dishes are more creative and unique. I have never had a pasta with orange flavor before. I'm very satisfied. The bathroom is also clean.

27/12/2024: Stunning dinner from start to finish. The room is very elegant, with a refinement that however maintains a tone of simplicity. We let ourselves be guided with a menu chosen by the chef. 29/11/2024: Dirty room, same bathroom. No receipt, just advance payment. Ordered the pici al ragù, of very questionable quality.

28/11/2024: Small but very nice restaurant and very good food. The appetizer platter is beautifully rich and with delicious products, after that I struggled to finish the second course I had taken (a very good and tender cut)

06/01/2025: It is a place next to the Duoma, which we went to on 05.05.2022, based on the comments, and we were incredibly satisfied. The steak is wonderful, the salad and lasagna are wonderful, we remember it so much that today, on the way back from France to Italy, I decided to go and have our meal again and find its name from the photographs. I saw that I didn't comment, let's do it right away ✋ you are very kind and smiling, thank you.

05/01/2025: Lo Scudo is one of my favorites in all of Florence! The location is lovely right by the Duomo, the servers are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is fantastic. They have the best pappardelle al cinghiale in the whole city - and I have tasted many! Their bistecca alla fiorentina with a side of roasted potatoes will have you coming back for more. You will not be disappointed!

18/12/2024: A regular customer for a long time now, the quality of the starters is truly excellent, the Angus steak is out of this world, the meat is very tender and melts in your mouth, the venison ragout is truly superb, if I close my eyes I can still taste the flavour! Quiet place to have a dinner in pure harmony, I recommend it!
