30/03/2025: The place is a little hidden from the nightlife of Monopoli but you eat really well from the appetizer to the first course to the dessert. Congratulations, keep it up. Special credit to the chef and the whole kitchen team because working with an open kitchen is not easy. Chapeau!

07/10/2025: Pets allowed. The outdoor area was very nice. Friendly staff. But... I was there on a Friday, and unfortunately there were so many people that we almost had to shout to talk. Too many tables. Mediocre service... it tasted like spaghetti with tomato sauce. Appetizers were average. Desserts were nothing special.

02/10/2025: The best pizza in Bari! Although it doesn't have all the glamorous atmosphere of a restaurant, eating a delicious Capricciosa on the wall surrounding the nearby square is one of my fondest memories from the trip (there are also tables available outside the pizzeria). The very friendly service and authentic Italian atmosphere of this place make it, in my opinion, a cut above the typical restaurants. Best regards, and I heartily recommend Il Veliero to everyone.

01/09/2025: In a few words... raw mushrooms in a terrine, melted mozzarella and speck in a terrine... burnt pizza on top, biancolatte underneath... the only positive note was the excellent tripe chops!! The waitress, when the facts were clear, apologized and offered to remake the pizzas, but after an hour and 45 minutes of waiting we ran away... finally, the air conditioning was turned off because there was a small child... I'm writing this review hoping for an improvement, also because other people have told me that besides the pizza, the rest of the food is good!!

13/09/2025: ⸻ This evening we ordered takeout pizzas. Aside from the wait of over an hour (which can happen on Saturdays), they all arrived incorrectly, with the Parmesan cheese added that we didn't request and without the drinks we ordered. We avoided calling to avoid any problems, but we definitely won't be ordering takeout pizzas from them again.

08/09/2025: Generally, the food is quite good; the only problem is that sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. You have to try it and be lucky.

18/09/2025: Very friendly staff and quick serving. It was the first pizza place we visited during our stay in Bari and we never went anywhere else. Didn't need to. The pizza was just perfect and prices were good as well.

16/09/2025: And they call it "simple puccia"... !!!!! Light, fragrant, and flavorful dough. Artfully filled with taste and flavor... but above all with one essential ingredient: love and respect for the ingredients. The place and staff are truly welcoming. Thank you for this Sunday "off-the-menu" option.

25/09/2025: A local trattoria not for tourists but for local gourmets. This isn't to say it's not a tourist-friendly place, but simply that it should be more popular with tourists thanks to the authentic, local flavors. From the spaghetti all'assassina, served straight from the iron pan, to the panzerotti, the flavors are those of local cuisine, made to be savored, not just looked at. We dined here as guests of friends, and we'll never forget the culinary experience and the friendly service provided by the entire staff, just like the scents of this wonderful land. Don't miss it if you're in Bari!

17/09/2025: Our Italian friends recommend this restaurant to us. The recommended local traditional dishes are panzerotti and assassina, and he also recommended us to try „ patate riso e cozze (potatoes rice and mussels). We enjoyed what we ordered, we also had a Mixed deep fried seafood to share. Everything was delicious, the service was efficient. However it helps if one can speak Italian. We tried our best to give it go…😏
