04/03/2026: This property is beautiful both inside and out, and in the evenings there's a magical atmosphere. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, and the food is divine at lunch and dinner as well.
Cleanliness and impeccable service.
And the welcome was also wonderful.
I highly recommend it!

07/02/2026: They're incredibly kind; even though we were super late, they seated us right away and served us in less than 10 minutes. Friendly, polite, and highly recommended. Every time we pass by, we always stop there for an aperitif or a meal. The quality of the food is always excellent, and their kindness is a huge plus.

06/03/2026: I had a really positive experience eating here a few years ago. I placed an order with Deliveroo last year and everything was perfect. In the last few months, I've placed two orders with Deliveroo and honestly felt a bit ripped off... I've never seen such small portions. Not being from Vercelli, we're very comfortable with Deliveroo, but we won't be doing it again. The prices aren't in line with the portions, and most importantly, you won't be feeling full at the end of the meal! It's a shame because the food is really good!

04/01/2026: Tried on 03/01/2026. Beautiful location 4 km from Vercelli. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Delicious salami in fat as an entree. Excellent pumpkin flan with a light Taleggio fondue and delicious Martini di Boves raw meat with black truffle sauce and chickpea pâté. Incredible veal stew cooked slowly in Barolo and spices with creamed potatoes and a fantastic guinea fowl breast roll with juniper berry sauce. Fantastic almond, hazelnut, and pistachio semifreddo, salted and crunchy with caramel, and a wonderful millefeuille with Marsala zabaglione foam. Excellent wine list. Reasonably priced (desserts are expensive). Highly recommended.

We just had lunch here, but it was great. Good soup and a very nice cheese/meat platter.
13/09/2025: The Barba Ferrero Refuge was a pleasant surprise, especially from its manager.
A helpfulness and kindness I've never encountered in the many refuges I've visited. We only stopped for lunch, but next time we'll try to stay a night. Highly recommended.

16/02/2026: We had lunch on a Saturday with friends to eat typical Piedmontese dishes that were on the menu, but the quality and presentation were lacking. It's a shame because the staff was friendly and the service good. The atmosphere was retro but pleasant. However, the quality was lacking. Visited for lunch on Saturday, February 14th. Reservation made the same week.
27/01/2026: Yesterday, my husband and I went to this restaurant in Arborio, where we'd been before. Two appetizers, two beef fillets, one small potato chip, two bounets, and two coffees came to €124. I wasn't expecting it, especially since I'd already complained about the less-than-tender fillet. It's a place with a very large room, perfect for convivial lunches; well, about 50 people passed between our table for two and another 20 cm away. People who passed by adjusted their jackets, tightening them around themselves, and apologized for the inconvenience they were causing us as we were eating. Readers can draw their own conclusions!

06/03/2026: I've known him for years, he's amazing, exceptional pizzas and their Montanarina is super.
02/03/2026: We were greeted and immediately seated at our table. A few minutes later, the waiter showed up and explained the evening's specials. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and smiling.
The food was delicious. We had two pizzas, and I have to say it was the best I've ever eaten. The price was as advertised, €20-30 per person, but for the quality, it was excellent. I recommend this restaurant.

18/01/2026: On our way back from a trip, we decided to stop and stay a night in Vercelli. We found a room at "Il Giardinetto" and booked it. It's close to the center, in a quiet area, and not too expensive. But the real surprise was dinner, with an unusual seafood option for the area. I won't go into detail; the tuna Mackintosh appetizer was simply fabulous. Then we decided to try something off the menu, for two people: sea bass in salt. I've never had such delicious sea bass!
27/11/2025: If Ayrton Senna and Carol Alt stopped here for a bite to eat years ago, I have to go too. The food is definitely good. 😙
