08/07/2026: On our journey from the Aosta Valley to Piedmont, we were looking for a restaurant for lunch and luckily ended up at La Topia. The restaurant in the pretty little town was quite busy during the week and outside of the holiday season. We were served immediately and warmly. There was no menu; the daily specials were presented to us at the table. We chose pasta with tomato sauce and bacon, followed by pan-fried trout fillet with braised gherkins and homemade fried potato chips. For dessert, we ordered a semifreddo with hazelnuts and amaretto, accompanied by half a liter of wonderfully fresh white wine, a bottle of water, and finally, two coffees. Everything tasted superb. The whole meal cost 40 euros. On a nice day, the outdoor seating area offers a lovely view.
