Nice panoramic point at the foot of the Sesia glaciers

Wonderful refuge, highly recommend. The owners were wonderful and even made some vegan food for us. You can climb up to the glacier and waterfalls just behind the site.

I can enchanting the food is good also because after the effort to go there we first passed by the black head to see the daisy I forgot the very nice manager we will be back

Comment dire, l'arrivée au refuge fut surprenante. Je m'explique, en France les refuges pour la plus part, sont destinés essentiellement aux randonneurs. En Italie, c'est avant tout un lieu ou les familles aiment se retrouver pour partager un repas local. C'est donc tout simplement que les gérants nous accueillent en toute convivialité avec des produits locaux et une grande gentillesse. Un grand merci à eux pour ce partage. A refaire sans aucun problème.

Departure from the Wold square in Alagna Sesia, either on foot or by shuttle that will take you to the start of the path (cost 3 euros return and you will save yourself a lot of walking on asphalt). From the start of the path, in a couple of hours you will arrive at the refuge located right under Monte Rosa (if there are no clouds you can also see the Capanna Margherita). An easy and panoramic walk within everyone's reach. Nice refuge with nice and kind managers. Advised!!!

Nice place with a view of the valley and the glacier, sociable and pleasant manager. Just two hours from the Pastore refuge, 3 hours from the Wold car park. The last hour of climbing is in the sun and a little tough, but it's done calmly. To get down to the car park 2 hours are enough.

Exceptional!! Impeccably managed by friendly and kind guys who passionately dedicate themselves to the profession of refuge manager. Compliments!!

Ci andai 10 anni fa e quest’anno ho deciso di tornarci, ben due volte quest’estate. Il gestore è super simpatico, l’atmosfera è amichevole e conviviale, la vista dal rifugio e durante la camminata spettacolare. Il percorso è abbastanza impegnativo per chi non è abituato alle scarpinate, ma fattibile per chi è abituato alla montagna. Sconsiglio di salirci “con calma” in tarda mattinata, perché la Valsesia è famosa per gli improvvisi annuvolamenti e temporali pomeridiani, è un posto che ci si può godere bene la mattina e a pranzo. Se disponibile in rifugio consiglio di provare la cheesecake che è una bomba! 😍

I rated 5/5 only because more was not possible. What a fantastic lunch in such a beautiful environment. Great polenta concia, the corner of the drinks is amazing, home made cakes. What else could I ask in an alpine rifugio at 2200mt? Simply perfect. The path from Alagna is 2hours hiking from the end point of the bus shuttle. The view of Monte Rosa glaciers is simply astonishing
