15/09/2025: We've been to this place several times and have always had a great time, but alas, that wasn't the case this evening. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, the waitress was extremely inattentive. We ordered two identical calzones, one without mozzarella, where the menu stated the basic ingredients were tomato and mozzarella, at least in that calzone (piedigrotta), which specified tomato outside the calzone. The waitress, after taking our order, came back to us about 15 minutes later, asking if we wanted tomato in the calzone without mozzarella, but it was already listed on the menu. She apologized, saying we were right and it was a typo on the menu. When we got the bill, however, we were charged an extra euro for the tomato, which was already listed on the menu. I forgot, three of us ordered a portion of fries, we were asked if we wanted ketchup and mayonnaise and we were given 2 sachets of both sauces but there were 3 of us 🤔 Having said that, I will definitely continue to recommend it and come to the restaurant, but certain things need to be reviewed.

22/07/2025: Today my husband and I had lunch at Osteria La Fulario in Palazzolo Vercellese and were truly delighted. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, the service is kind and attentive, and the food... simply delicious! Authentic dishes, carefully prepared with quality ingredients, made us feel right at home. An experience we'll definitely repeat. Kudos to the entire staff!

08/10/2025: If you wanted pizza, this was the place. I traveled from Biella specifically to enjoy this excellence. Unfortunately, after my last experience, I was very disappointed: I found plastic filaments in the "Mortazza" pizza, probably from the packaging or the protective film on the cured meats. Furthermore, the service was slow and not up to the standard the restaurant should maintain.

15/09/2025: Today we stopped by chance at this trattoria with a true old-fashioned Italian feel. We ate excellent food, both for the palate and, above all, for the quality! Everything was homemade, and you could taste it! The staff was fast and very courteous. The bill was a surprise! For such high quality, I'd say a price like this hasn't been found in a while. Congratulations to everyone!

30/09/2025: The exterior doesn't look very promising, but the rooms are huge, quite comfortable, and clean. The price is high compared to other hotels. I would avoid the included breakfast. At 8:15, with the room practically empty, the buffet was empty. There was no bread, and as for the cold cuts and cheese, there was only one slice left. Two cakes were okay, and three brioches were dry. I'm sorry, but this doesn't seem like good service to me.

12/10/2025: A gem among the rice fields of Vercelli. At Locanda dell'Orso, you come for the food, but you stay for the atmosphere: familiar, well-kept, authentic. The kind of place that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. The fried porcini mushrooms are exceptional: crispy on the outside, plump on the inside, served with a simplicity that leaves room for flavor. The breading is tasty but not overpowering, respecting and enhancing the mushrooms. The risotto is perfectly creamed, cooked al dente, and has a fragrance that anticipates the flavor. The staff is kind and attentive, with the courtesy born from a love for their work. The outdoor terrace is a little corner of rustic paradise, with a small herb garden that fills the air with fragrant scents. We found the mint and sage that enhanced our sorbets here. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

27/05/2025: The first courses were excellent, the fried food was out of this world and plentiful!! That said, the service was really slow, sitting at the table for 25 minutes before finally having a glass of wine, they wouldn't even give it to us when we asked.... incredible. This was by the owner's will, who only serves him and strictly in order of arrival. The owner is still nice and welcoming, nothing to say, but.... come on... We were 4 of us and we tasted a few appetizers... 3 first courses and fried food. Special dishes, well-prepared, cacio pepe and shrimp rated 10! The portions are tastings (except for the fried food), you pay like everywhere else nowadays.... For me 3 stars... happy to have tried it but it's not one of my favorite places (personal opinion)

22/08/2025: I've known this place for a long time, but I've always enjoyed visiting only the café and pastry shop. Last night, however, we decided to dine there, especially since the chef, Marco De Dominici, has been receiving accolades for his skill for years. What can I say? A fantastic experience. Carefully prepared, beautifully presented, tasty yet light dishes (the meat was so tender it tasted like butter), perfect combinations, and generous portions. A true journey into the world of flavor, with top-quality ingredients (especially the vegetables, which aren't locally sourced, but locally sourced, as I see him picking them in the garden next door). Excellent service from his wife, Valentina, attentive to the customer's needs and courteous in her manner. The place isn't very large, but no one rushes you to leave your table; the atmosphere is refined, with a beautiful view and mostly wooden furnishings. Lovely vintage prints decorate the walls. When it came to the bill, Valentina also gave us a box of corn biscuits made by her husband (the chef). What can I say? I already know we'll be back, whether for coffee breaks, breakfasts, or dinners. This restaurant is a true gem in Valsesia!

13/07/2025: A wonderful, totally relaxing holiday, thanks to Valentina and her husband, an excellent chef, two very kind people who are TRULY dedicated to customer satisfaction. The property enjoys a fantastic location directly on the river and in the tranquility of the small village. They also allow pets in the dining room. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back with great pleasure.

25/09/2025: A welcoming restaurant in the heart of the historic center. Refined and intimate atmosphere. Delicious food where the chef's skill meets quality ingredients. The Russian salad served as a welcome appetizer is nothing short of a masterpiece! Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: I tried the pizza and the fried food on different evenings. Both were very good and light.

16/08/2025: I often come with relatives who love pizza. At lunchtime, I choose the full menu with a half-liter of wine for €14. In the evening, pizza and fish are served. Very good and, above all, easy-to-digest food. The service is attentive and courteous. The atmosphere is equipped with TVs for watching shows or football matches. The owner is very kind and very good at continuing the business her father started.
