26/04/2025: A welcoming retreat with spectacular views of Monte Rosa. The manager, Cester, is a very nice and easy-going friend. The dishes are simple but tasty: the polenta concia (nicely greasy!) is unmissable. But it's not just the food that makes the difference: the sleeping accommodations are really nice, with comforts you wouldn't expect at 2000 metres. Incredible wine cellar! Relaxed atmosphere and always friendly service, you always feel at home!

15/02/2025: Veramente sconcertante. Cercando vari bar su Google credevo dalle foto di trovare veramente tutt’altro rispetto a quello che é la realtà. Esternamente non sembra neanche ci sia un bar, vetri opachi e apparenza anonima. All’interno il caos, un disordine pazzesco, ad intravedere la cucina: senza parole per cosa c’era su quel tavolo. La sala per consumare la colazione buia, scatoloni.. Dopo aver cominciato ad ordinare e facendo per andare nella sala, ho ricevuto una chiamata per cui sono subito andata dal pasticcere ad avvisare che dovevo andare via e nel caso fosse stato possibile avrei portato la colazione via. Il pasticcere aveva riempito solo un cornetto al cioccolato. Ma É alla cassa che comincia la vera storia horror. La signora appena vede estrarre la carta sussulta:” due euro con la carta no eh!!!!”. Sconvolti, il mio compagno va in macchina a controllare se avessimo moneta. Non avendone dico alla signora che a quel punto avrei dovuto lasciare il cornetto. ( Cosa avrei dovuto fare altrimenti visto che io avrei pagato, ma lei non voleva usare il pos?). La signora infervorata perché aveva già fatto lo scontrino ha cominciato ad attaccare dicendo che non avevamo i soldi e varie intimidazioni assurde solo perché voleva la moneta. Vorrei ricordare che siamo nel 2025 e di tutte queste dinamiche finanziarie esistono gli organi di competenza a cui rivolgersi. Non i clienti che devono pure sentirsi offesi in questo modo. Che dire : un posto che riflette la pochezza di chi ci lavora.

04/05/2025: Tijdens ons bezoek aan dit restaurant werden we vrij snel en vriendelijk geholpen door enkele personeelsleden die ook goed Engels spraken, wat het bestellen vergemakkelijkte. De ambiance was simpel maar sfeervol, met een open keuken waar je de pizzabakker live aan het werk kon zien, wat een leuke toevoeging was aan de ervaring. De pizza’s waren van zeer hoge kwaliteit: de bodem was precies goed, de ingrediënten vers en met een lage hoeveelheid zout, waardoor de smaak perfect in balans was. De porties waren royaal en de prijzen verrassend laag, wat het geheel zeer betaalbaar maakte. Als extra pluspunt kregen we 10% korting op de totale rekening vanwege een lokale Airbnb-korting, een mooie ondersteuning van de middenstand. Het dessert was homemade en bijzonder smakelijk, een heerlijke afsluiter van de maaltijd. Al met al een uitstekende eetervaring met goede service, kwaliteit en een prettige sfeer. Zeker een aanrader voor wie van authentieke en betaalbare pizza’s houdt.

23/02/2025: Very nice location but small as a place, in spring/summer the outdoor area overlooking the street is very pleasant. Excellent beer, good cocktails only if prepared by the owner ... I recommend it if you are in Varallo.

27/05/2025: The first courses were excellent, the fried food was out of this world and plentiful!! That said, the service was really slow, sitting at the table for 25 minutes before finally having a glass of wine, they wouldn't even give it to us when we asked.... incredible. This was by the owner's will, who only serves him and strictly in order of arrival. The owner is still nice and welcoming, nothing to say, but.... come on... We were 4 of us and we tasted a few appetizers... 3 first courses and fried food. Special dishes, well-prepared, cacio pepe and shrimp rated 10! The portions are tastings (except for the fried food), you pay like everywhere else nowadays.... For me 3 stars... happy to have tried it but it's not one of my favorite places (personal opinion)
