15/06/2025: A pranzo in questo ristorante nella parte alta del complesso di Oropa, con brutto tempo incombente (come pare capiti spesso da queste parti): per fortuna ci hanno trovato posto nella saletta superiore, all'interno del locale. Iniziamo con degli antipasti misti piuttosto ricchi ed anche abbondanti, per passare poi alla specialità del luogo: la polenta concia, piatto che non conoscevo davvero ricco di formaggio, burro e... colesterolo. Tutto buono, servizio ottimo e prezzi nella media. Decisamente promosso!

28/09/2025: The Marchesa restaurant and pizzeria is located in the center of the village of Candelo (BI), just across from the Ricetto di Candelo, an ancient medieval hamlet. The restaurant has an industrial style with some rustic touches, yet remains warm and welcoming. The glasses on the table were panna cotta molds, a fun and probably practical ploy. The pizza is a classic northern Neapolitan style, thinly crusted with a high, soft crust and crunchy bits here and there. You'll notice that slice after slice, the pizza is starting to get a bit rubbery, and (personally) the sauce lacks character. For dessert, we opted for the chocolate cheesecake. This cake has a lot of cheese and not much cake. The biscuit base is very thin, and the various flavors offered (I assume) are simply the type of toppings that are generously layered on top to make it more palatable. The service staff are quick and respectful of the timing. It's a shame to give only 3 stars but I'm sure that the young people I've seen can improve and make Marchesa an excellent pizzeria.

10/09/2025: Despite all the complaints, this is a beautiful and unique place, parking is in front of the pizzeria, the pizzas were delivered right away, the fish was delicious 😋 and the two waiters were kind and professional ✔️

17/09/2025: I'd say €2 plus for a cover charge and a paper placemat is excessive, €6 for a terrible bruschetta with sour tomato and cheese that doesn't melt, and to think I wanted the classic one with oil and garlic, it still costs €6! It's excessive. So: 1 Coke + 1/2 a glass of water 1 bruschetta + 1 sandwich and a burger with chicken cutlet. Total €38 What if I'd each had a beer? I mean, what would the two of us have spent? At least €50 Are we crazy?

09/10/2025: A pizzeria you might find near a train station in a big city. A normal pizza, not one that will make you say I'll never return, but not one that will make you regret the day you went either. The service was very slow. Even though there were seven people there, the waitress managed to mess up one dish.

09/09/2025: A stop for breakfast before continuing to the Oropa Sanctuary after about a three-hour drive. The waitress wasn't very attentive and brought us different sandwiches than we'd ordered. The coffee, however, was good.

28/09/2025: We ate quite well, the menu of the day has traditional dishes, you must try their agnolotti off the menu, the lady prepares them, they are delicious

31/08/2025: Two homemade agnolotti, delicious but only 10 agnolotti on a plate for 14 euros, a cutlet also for 14 euros, and a roast consisting of two 30-gram slices with a spoonful of broccoli for the price of the full menu, half a glass of wine, a bottle of water, two coffees, two slices of cake, total 74.50 euros!!! I don't think we'll be stopping.

01/03/2025: Bad experience. Ordered via deliveroo, whose delivery service worked well. I've noticed that when I order from various shops via Deliveroo the plating often leaves something to be desired, but this time they beat everyone. Ordered 2 pizza and a ham focaccia. The pizzas were baby size although I paid full price for them, my focaccia was unwatchable: 3 slices of ham and that's it. Cost 12.90!!!! I called to point it out, they were unable to offer me any valid alternative, for example they didn't offer to remake the focaccia, they didn't offer to give me a shopping voucher, they simply limited themselves to replying "I don't know what to say". I don't like writing bad reviews, especially if I see good will behind it, but in this case the service (not of Deliveroo, but of the pizzeria) seemed excessively superficial to me and the customer care was practically absent. Very dissatisfied, I will never order here again.
