07/11/2025: Everything was good. The owner and his wife were friendly and welcoming. I recommend it.

09/10/2025: A pizzeria you might find near a train station in a big city. A normal pizza, not one that will make you say I'll never return, but not one that will make you regret the day you went either. The service was very slow. Even though there were seven people there, the waitress managed to mess up one dish.

28/10/2025: A typical, sincere trattoria! The owners are welcoming, down-to-earth, and happy with their work. Lots of loyal customers. I found a wonderful place in the small town of Miagliano, in a charming little square. Only three choices on the daily menu. Good food. Nice house wine. Family atmosphere. Very fair prices! For €10 per person, we even had dessert! I'll be back a hundred times! It has a large indoor dining room and a garden in the summer.

14/10/2025: I'm only giving it 4 stars because I only had a coffee there, but those who know it speak highly of it. It's definitely an old-fashioned trattoria.

11/10/2025: Excellent self-service restaurant! If you work in Biella, it's a must! I'll definitely be back. The menu always changes seasonally. It's always crowded! You have to get there a little early sometimes to avoid long lines!

13/04/2026: A history of excellence in the city. Superb quality and uniquely flavorful coffee. The only drawback, for a few but not all, is...if you don't give the receipt correctly, they won't serve you. Who knows... Kudos to the owners. A 10 out of 10.

13/04/2026: We were there yesterday. It was supposed to be a quick coffee because our kids were playing handball. The lady sat us down at a table. We had 14 coffees, including 2 macchiatos and an Americano, 2 Cokes Zero, and the lady brought out 3 small plates with homemade cookies. When she finally gave us the bill, we understood why she was so kind... €50. Naturally, no receipt.

15/03/2026: We came across this trattoria on the way home. The food was good and plentiful, home-cooked, and the staff were friendly. Excellent prices.

28/10/2025: The restaurant is nestled within the Porta Pretoria, making it quite evocative in itself. Its walls date back to the 25th century BC. Excellent local food, elegantly presented. The waiter was young but well-trained, helpful but not intrusive. The owners were friendly. Given our gastronomical acumen, the owner even offered us a digestif. Excellent ginepy. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: We had dinner one evening at this beautiful location in the historic center of Aosta. Upon entering, you might think you're walking into a "stinky" restaurant, but you find yourself in a beautiful setting, certainly stylish but affordable for all budgets. Upon entering, a young man named Emanuele is ready to welcome you, very friendly and witty. The dining rooms are very beautiful and spacious. The service is attentive, courtesy of Emanuele's partner, Anais. The quality of the food offered is very pleasing, and so is the final product.

23/02/2026: The restaurant is very welcoming, the staff is kind and knowledgeable. It's a shame the dishes were absolutely tasteless. I ordered a slice of Fassona beef with a Parmesan cream: it tasted like Parmesan, and the meat alone was absolutely tasteless. I ordered a risotto with beetroot and two Gorgonzola cheeses: without Gorgonzola, it tasted like nothing, not even a good meat or vegetable broth. The panna cotta was good, but I make that at home too. The house red wine was so-so. The sparkling water was good. Also, a final comment on the variety of the menu: it's a restaurant where they mainly serve meat, which is fine; but if the menu has pumpkin flan as an appetizer and you say it's out of season, you can't replace it with anchovies in butter! Make a flan with some other vegetable! In short, a vegetarian, without expecting to have three or four choices per course, on Saturday evening had zero choice in appetizers and risotto for the first course; let alone main courses. A real shame because the place is very beautiful; I had been there a few years ago and had a great time... but I won't be returning. Cost: 1 appetizer, 2 risottos, 2 glasses of house wine, 1 water, and 1 dessert: €70

01/05/2026: We returned to La Lanterna again today. It's our favorite restaurant because it serves simple yet delicious food. You can eat inside or outside, surrounded by the mountains. How lovely! The fried gnocco is always delicious! And the cured meats too, and the porcini mushroom risotto is excellent! Overall, it's a very simple place with a warm welcome and helpful owners. I like going there because it makes me feel at home. I recommend it to anyone who is in the area. We'll definitely be back.

17/02/2026: Definitely unwelcoming (to put it mildly); the bar is closed at 9:10 AM (despite the hours stating it opens at 9:00 AM). Looking from outside, no one is visible; after knocking, a young lady appears and says, "We're having breakfast, we'll open when we're finished." Is the customer always right? You be the judge 😳

21/04/2026: Allow me to give my opinion on this place, given that I went there for the first time on Sunday the 19th, and only because the Bielmonte panoramic bar was closed. I found the service terrible, and it's absent at the tables outside the bar, or at least I only saw service for a select few. The price for two polentas, two tominis, a coke, and a small beer is quite high considering it's self-service. The quality of the food leaves much to be desired: runny polenta, cold tominis, and the location, where the food is very questionable, and the staff are unwelcoming. See you next time Patty
