Good food is not found at the Il Cortile restaurant. I threw away €40 but with €10 I would have eaten better at Mac Donald's where the quality level is higher

We booked 3 weeks ago at this restaurant which specializes in cut burgers etc. We are told that on the occasion of the Alpine troops' rally they will have two shifts 7.30pm and 9.39pm. We arrive at the restaurant at 9.30pm and they tell us that there is a fixed menu... listen, listen 40 euros!!!!!!!!!! I attach photos of the 40 euro dinner with ready-made dishes, heated in the microwave The incredible thing is that the fixed menu has no choices but there is an appetizer, a first course and a second course (veal cheek) that we all eat regularly. Serious restaurants: 1 at the time of booking if the menu is not the They usually warn the customer 2. In the fixed menu there is always a choice between at least two dishes 3 if no one takes a planned dish because they don't like it and can replace it with a cold cut or something else! 14/12/2024: Café in the center of Biella. Nice place. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Fast service and good pastries. The owner was very kind and helpful especially with the little girl. Herbal teas and teas for all tastes.

02/06/2025: Not fancy but nice, a down to earth place where you feel a bit at home. The menu is simple, few dishes but made to order, starters €10, first courses €12, second courses €15. Excellent wine list. Family run place.

21/03/2025: Great bar to have a coffee. As for the "restaurant": I can't comment on the fixed lunch menu (€13) because I didn't choose it. I took the mixed fried seafood that was recommended to me (€15), but I didn't like it. Prawns (2) overcooked and tasteless, squid and anchovies just decent. Plus it stayed on my stomach (and I digest stones too). Very poor service, terrible house wine. Ah, I forgot: verbal account and no receipt.

07/02/2025: The extremely disappointing service was the best part of the lunch. It was only possible to choose between 2 first courses and one second course, so the two of us tasted the entire menu but the only passable thing was the anduja pasta. We were hoping to make up for it with some beautiful cream Maritozzi which were probably very good 2 weeks ago when they were prepared. Unfortunately we arrived 15 days late.

07/02/2025: I went to dinner inspired by the good reviews, but never again or people don't understand anything about food or the reviews are fake, linguine with clams pasta with a liter of oil very strong southern oil that not everyone likes pasta without salt and I'm not one to eat very salty, I don't eat them I send them back the waitress instead of worrying she snorts I avoid discussion and I order a meuniare sole full of burnt butter final touch on top of the butter capers vinegar. I ask for the bill 120 euros 2 people 60 euros each I won't add anything else but better

01/06/2025: A Renovation That Changes Everything I returned to this restaurant after a while, driven by the good memories of my previous experience when you could enjoy excellent hamburgers and French fries. Unfortunately, the renovation has completely changed the identity of the place. The restaurant has been really well renovated: the environment is welcoming, and the staff is kind and professional. For lovers of red meat, this is definitely the right place, the selection is wide and of quality. What disappointed me most is the drastic reduction in the variety of the menu. If before there was a good choice of dishes, now the offer is very specialized. Zero options for those who prefer white meat, a major limitation. The first courses are average, nothing memorable. The portion of gnocchi with exactly 6 pieces is absolutely too much for the asking price (16€). The Quality-Price Ratio Fillet at 32€ without side dish: excessive. Water from 0.75cl at 4€: I would only pay it if it were holy water! Side dishes at €7: definitely above average. I opted for the ribs, which I remembered as good, and I wasn't disappointed: generous portion and confirmed flavor. The food is good, that's undeniable, but the restaurant seems to have positioned itself in a very specific range, both in terms of type of clientele and budget. It's no longer the "for everyone" place it once was. Will I return? Honestly, I don't know. The change was too radical compared to what I was looking for.

19/12/2024: I have been going to the creamery for several years and now it is my meeting point for chats over a good coffee and a beautiful square. Friendly and helpful staff Good location with outdoor tables!!
