Very nice and clean place, kind and knowledgeable staff as well as being kind, the food was excellent and of the right quantity, I thought I would spend a lot but instead I was also surprised by the price.

We went for lunch a few weeks ago. Very kind staff, nice environment and good food! Both the polenta and the delicious desserts!

PROS: Nice and polite and friendly staff. Good and delicate tanning polenta. Delicious chestnuts with lard and honey CONS: Room with very low heating, long wait (1 hour from ordering) average price of polenta 9.5 but chestnuts 15 euros a bit exaggerated. Overall good but I doubt going back.

On January 1st I had lunch with family at Caminetto Oropa. I have no words to compliment the welcome, the quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes and the kindness of the lady and the waiters. We recommend this place for a pleasant moment of joy at the table...Jolanda and Giovanni Baldi

La location è carina e molto accogliente. Il tavolo è preparato con tovaglia e tovagliolini di stoffa ed il servizio è pronto ma discreto. I piatti tutti buonissimi, qualche perplessità sulla polenta concia. Buoni anche i dolci. Prezzi onesti.

Il santuario di Oropa, nel biellese, e’ punto di pellegrinaggio frequentato.Chi sale tra queste montagne cerca, oltre alla riflessione religiosa, soprattutto una specialita’ nei numerosi ristoranti: la polenta concia (farina di mais cucinata piuttosto liquida unita ad abbondante formaggio morbido e burro nocciolato). Ne da’una interpretazione non ottimale il ristorante Caminetto, situato sotto il porticato del grande cortile che precede l’area della vecchia basilica del ‘600. All’interno sarete accolti in alcune salette con molti quadri alle pareti, qualche soffitto decorato, in spazi contenuti. Tavoli ben arredati con tovaglie e tovaglioli in tessuto. Menu a 25 o 29 euro con scelta di due piatti tra entrate, primi e secondi. Alla carta: antipasti ( 19-22 euro, frittata, salumi, flan), primi (9,50-20 euro, polenta concia, agnolotti, tagliolini, ravioli, risotto), secondi ( 22-27 euro, polenta con cervo, vitello, anatra, trota. Consueti dolci ( bonet e altri da 7 euro). Provati antipasti appena sufficienti, una polenta concia (insipida, con poco formaggio, in dosi misurate), tagliolini al burro e formaggio corretti .Dimenticato l’ ordine del dolce, Carta dei vini ampia e vino sfuso ( provato il Grignolino) non da ricordare. Servizi ben arredati e curati ( ma per i disabili occorre rivolgersi fuori), Servizio lento ma cortese. Si accettano le carte di credito, inclusa Amex.
