18/10/2025: The farinata deserves an A+. It's been 25 years since I've had one of this quality. Perfectly cooked, crispy on top and bottom, creamy on the inside. Few people cook it in a large oven these days and serve it in slices. The pan pizza was slightly below expectations. Excellent ingredients and perfectly cooked, but a bit too firm to bite into. It lacked the typical softness, resulting in a bit of a "bready" texture. The crema catalana was excellent, I assume they made it.

We ate wonderfully; my husband had raw fish and a mixed fry that were nothing short of exceptional, as well as the guacamole, which delighted my taste buds like never before... but let's also talk about the homemade bread and the good wine, even by the glass, served by extremely polite and friendly staff. I love the attention they pay to vegetarians, too; believe me, you'll leave delighted with whatever dish you choose. I rarely leave such enthusiastic reviews, but you have to try it! We'll be back, and back, and back again! Thanks to the chef and all the staff for making my birthday special! See you soon!

31/07/2025: Dinner with friends for pizza: the pizza menu is good, extensive and original, and the meat selection is also good, with reasonable prices. The pizza dough was thin and crispy, though for me, who prefers Neapolitan pizza, it wasn't the best, but the toppings were truly remarkable, both in quality and quantity. It's just a matter of taste when it comes to the dough, but overall, I'd say it's an excellent choice.

07/09/2025: A beautiful place with knowledgeable and friendly staff, in the historic center, just steps from the square named after Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, hence the name Camillo's Bakery. I recommend the Piedmontese Fassona burger, with artisanal bread, and the excellent beers.

09/11/2025: My experience at this restaurant was, unfortunately, not at all positive. We were a table of 13, primarily the location: in the cellar, among the barrels, a humid environment, obviously, but not ideal for lunch in November. It was dark (the overhead lamps didn't provide enough light, and there was no other lighting on the table), and sound leakage made it difficult to understand each other's conversations. The packaged breadsticks were good, but I expect them in a tavern, not a restaurant in the Langhe; the bread wasn't fresh today. The house red wine, a tart Nebbiolo, only slightly improved in flavor by letting it air out in the glass. For the first course, a vegetarian at the table was served tagliolini al dente, blanched and served with a drizzle of oil (I expect this dish to be on a children's menu; a simple butter and sage would have been fine). The meat was very salty. The service was slow and inattentive; we had to repeatedly ask for refills of bread and water (at one point, I got up to get the waitress's attention, bringing an empty bottle). The waitress literally started clearing the tables while we were still eating dessert. Finally, the Moscato glasses smelled bad; they were probably left in a cupboard and not cleaned before being brought to the table. All this for the modest sum of €55 per person, which I'm willing to pay if it's worth it, but not only because it's the truffle fair season in the Langhe. I don't think I'll ever return to this restaurant, nor will I recommend it.

04/11/2025: An unexpectedly high-quality restaurant. They have an open grill, excellent meats and fish, and the owners are friendly and welcoming. It's not fancy, but it's delicious. Top marks. Word from Dr. Ginelli. A seasoned, experienced representative.

10/10/2025: A good bistro where locals and passing workers alike enjoy lunch. Friendly service and hearty food—what more could you ask for? Very reasonably priced. Thank you, and we'll be sure to stop by again on our next trip to northern Italy.

29/10/2025: A charming little hotel on the main street of Varello. The rooms are small but very cozy. Dario, the owner, is a nice and smiling man, remembers exactly how everyone likes their coffee. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the shower is small but new. There is no kettle in the rooms but There is a small tea corner in the hallway. The central location is perfect! We spent 5 nights here as part of a retreat held at the hotel so we also enjoyed our stay there. European breakfast, delicious dinners but no offerings for kosher or vegans. The rooms are not air conditioned so this may be a problem in the summer, we were there in the fall and enjoyed the central heating and the view of the waterfall from the room. Definitely a recommended hotel that will be fun to return to.

04/10/2025: Good food, good service, excellent prices. In my opinion, the place needs some soundproofing; when it's full (or nearly full), it's sometimes difficult to talk to the people sitting across from you.
