19/08/2026: We had a delightful dinner. Arancini carbonara, a buffalo mozzarella, and a truffle pizza... all delicious!! Excellent value, very friendly staff, and fast service. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Neapolitan pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

10/05/2026: We had a lovely meal at this restaurant in Lucca. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with every dish feeling fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It was also very child friendly, which made the experience even better for us. They were happy to prepare something simple for my nephews that suited them perfectly, which we really appreciated. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot if you’re looking for great food!

02/05/2026: Top-class restaurant in the center of Lucca. Despite the hustle and bustle of the city, you find yourself in an oasis of calm here. The terrace feels like a cozy living room with greenery and warm lighting. The service is exceptional – truly waited on hand and foot. The dishes are amazing, with surprising combinations of familiar ingredients. An experience we won't soon forget!

07/07/2026: Hands down, the best Japanese restaurant in the area. High-quality, ultra-fresh ingredients, more than fair prices, and the staff are always friendly and attentive to their guests. Definitely better than the all-you-can-eat options, for the same price but with double the portions and more authentic dishes. Everything is delicious.

18/08/2026: Exceptional, we ate very well, excellent value. 2 first courses, 1 second course, 1 dessert, 1 medium beer, 1 water, 1/2 wine, 1 espresso, €62 I recommend booking because it's super busy. The pasta with creamy pecorino cheese and truffle sauce and the old-fashioned beef are excellent, as is the brick!

15/08/2026: Excellent experience, shaded terrace in a quiet alley, delicious dishes: antipathique del mare + homemade fried fish + spaghetti arrabbiata, very good homemade white wine,...a calm and fresh lunch accompanied by attentive service in Italian/French/English to understand each other: no hesitation to repeat!

13/05/2026: Great hotel by the beach with a fantastic restaurant. Would definitely stay there again. Theresa and staff gave us wonderful service from beginning to end. Free parking and a restaurant that is one of if not the best in town.

04/05/2026: What an absolute gem we found when we happened upon this lovely spot. Family owned since 1927, the current owners--three siblings--have cleary maintained the quality and warm hospitality established by generations before them. We loved our room, the staff, the restaurant, the pristine beach. We could have stayed a week but are happy to have had an overnight here. Grazie mille...we hope to return!

13/08/2026: What a disappointment. I returned after several years, and it's no longer the restaurant it once was under the previous ownership. The dishes were rushed, the service was poor, and the prices were high. It's a real shame, and it shows in the fewer customers... There are better restaurants in the country!

21/06/2026: We chose Pepe Nero for our wedding weekend and couldnt be happier. Everything was absolutely delicious — the pizza for the night before, the aperitivos, specially the octopus salad, the salmon, all the way to the dinner and the wedding cake was 10/10 — Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly portioned. The staff was kind, friendly, efficient and professional. But if I can be completely honest, the real star of our wedding day was Laura. Laura was my point of contact and the restaurant coordinator, but she was so much more. From our first conversation, I could feel that she genuinely cares about what she does. She treated our wedding like it mattered to her personally, not just as another event to execute. Every email she sent was organized and thoughtful. Every meeting felt like she was really listening to what we needed. Planning a wedding from a distance without ever visiting the venue before was stressful for me, but Laura made it so much easier. She walked us through everything, showed us different ways to organize the events and the meals, adapted and adjusted to our needs, and answered every question with the same level of care. She organized the tasting perfectly and even included and accommodated my best friend who was unexpectedly there on the day. She even gave me recommendations on where to buy my wedding favours. Laura really went the extra mile for everything to try to help. Having Laura there on our wedding day genuinely calmed me down and made me happier. She was a huge part of why everything went so smoothly. There was a couple slip-ups with the drinks that weren’t how we had agreed, but she apologized and managed to fix the situation adequately. All in all, in hindsight, I really don’t think I could have made a better decision on who to choose for our special day. So thank you, Laura, for your passion and your attention. And thank you to the entire team at Pepenero and to your talented chef for creating such an amazing experience for us.

01/05/2026: Extraordinary cuisine, authentic, genuine, and deeply rooted in the local area. Passion, expertise, and a true Tuscan soul are evident here. The owners welcome you with warmth and attention, making you feel like a guest before you are a customer. We tasted magnificent pici with tuna, excellent black spaghetti with shrimp and asparagus, surprising sea urchins with truffle and quail eggs, and delicious squid with artichokes: carefully crafted, balanced, and flavorful dishes that showcase excellent ingredients. It's a true restaurant, where you can sense the passion for this craft. The bill is absolutely fair and fully justified by the quality of the ingredients, the sourcing of local products, and the overall experience it offers.

11/08/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm giving you 5 stars simply to offer a piece of advice, because I believe even these small details can make a difference in how a restaurant is perceived. When you're fully booked and a customer calls asking for a table, you could take their phone number and, if a table becomes available due to a cancellation or an unexpected event, contact them again. Even if you're unable to call them back, this simple gesture demonstrates your attention and care for the customer. A simple "no room" can leave a negative impression. However, offering a small chance, even just by saying "if you'd like, leave us your number and we'll contact you if a table becomes available," conveys helpfulness, elegance, and professionalism. It's precisely these small gestures, especially in high-end restaurants, that help build a positive relationship with the customer and enhance the restaurant's image.

11/08/2026: I've never had a better experience than this evening. The raw fish was exceptional, with five courses. There were some flaws in the timing of the dishes, but the quality was largely tolerable. The ladies at the table might have complained about some poor service, but the husband and wife, given the excellent food, overlooked this detail.

17/08/2026: For 20 minutes, no one came over to even offer us a glass of water. I had to ask for it, and after that, everything arrived very quickly and was of good quality. Overall, the waiters could definitely pay more attention to their guests.

10/08/2026: The food is good, the service is fast, and the prices are in line with the area. I expected it to be lakeside. We had an appetizer, two pizzas, and two first courses, all very good. The fish looked excellent, too. It was a bit warm, and even though we'd asked for a spot on the veranda when we booked, they put us inside, but overall we had a good time.

20/08/2026: I was skeptical that an app could choose a restaurant, but this one found me here after scanning my plate for calories. This seafood soup with shellfish is high in protein and doesn't seem diet-friendly at all. The place is well-maintained and the service is quick.

09/08/2026: I went there for dinner. The quality of the products was good. Service was poor (though the two ladies in the dining room apologized for the stupid things, which is appreciated). Out of three dishes (raw seafood—good but not wow—and two first courses), we were satisfied but not thrilled. A first course of maltagliati with zucchini and red prawns was very good, and another with homemade spaghetti that honestly tasted like it was soaked in oil. Overall, not a bad place, but not one to return to either. Prices were average, neither expensive nor cheap (€129 for two with a €30 bottle of wine, a generous appetizer, and two first courses, plus a coffee). I'm disappointed because it was described as "wow," but it's actually a bit more "okay, but the world is big, visit it."

29/07/2026: A truly lovely place with attentive and friendly staff. The menu starts at €35 per person and offers a substantial and truly delicious menu. Water and wine are refilled, and you can even bring your own wine. The quality and cooking of the meat are excellent. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. If we return to Tuscany, we'll definitely stop by again.

19/07/2026: I visited the restaurant for dinner with my family, and as we were leaving, I was very surprised that it didn't have a Michelin star 🌟—everything was incredibly delicious.

08/07/2026: Antico Moro Trattoria has been run by the same family for generations, a treasure trove of memories from its past, as well as dedications and thanks from artists who have passed through the restaurant over the years (Dario Fo, Rudolf Nurayev, and many others). The cuisine is personally overseen by the owner and offers traditional dishes (the fabulous caciucco!) with a personal touch (the plums cooked in wine and drowned in vanilla ice cream are delicious!). Guests are greeted with kindness, warmth, and expert advice. Thanks to the owners: their passion is palpable!
