Ristorante Miramare
13/05/2026: Great hotel by the beach with a fantastic restaurant. Would definitely stay there again. Theresa and staff gave us wonderful service from beginning to end. Free parking and a restaurant that is one of if not the best in town.
04/05/2026: What an absolute gem we found when we happened upon this lovely spot. Family owned since 1927, the current owners--three siblings--have cleary maintained the quality and warm hospitality established by generations before them. We loved our room, the staff, the restaurant, the pristine beach. We could have stayed a week but are happy to have had an overnight here. Grazie mille...we hope to return!

31/05/2026: Couple's lunch on Saturday, May 30th.
The sunny day and Castiglioncello, which wasn't yet in full summer mode, certainly contributed to making it a perfect day.
The restaurant exceeded our expectations, allowing us to spend two wonderful hours at the table, overlooking the sea. Everything was excellent, starting with the friendliness, good humor, and preparation of the entire staff, along with the deliciousness of every dish we tried.
I can't recommend this place enough. A little extra tip: during the summer months, try to book seats on the terrace overlooking the sea in advance.
You can sense the passion and attention to the products and the local area.
The prices are also fair.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor.
A large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor tables, both on the inner side of the city walls.
A la carte menu.
We opted for two appetizers and two pistachio-crusted tuna. Delicious!

10/05/2026: We had a lovely meal at this restaurant in Lucca. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with every dish feeling fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
It was also very child friendly, which made the experience even better for us. They were happy to prepare something simple for my nephews that suited them perfectly, which we really appreciated.
The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot if you’re looking for great food!
02/05/2026: Top-class restaurant in the center of Lucca. Despite the hustle and bustle of the city, you find yourself in an oasis of calm here. The terrace feels like a cozy living room with greenery and warm lighting. The service is exceptional – truly waited on hand and foot. The dishes are amazing, with surprising combinations of familiar ingredients. An experience we won't soon forget!

01/05/2026: Extraordinary cuisine, authentic, genuine, and deeply rooted in the local area. Passion, expertise, and a true Tuscan soul are evident here. The owners welcome you with warmth and attention, making you feel like a guest before you are a customer.
We tasted magnificent pici with tuna, excellent black spaghetti with shrimp and asparagus, surprising sea urchins with truffle and quail eggs, and delicious squid with artichokes: carefully crafted, balanced, and flavorful dishes that showcase excellent ingredients.
It's a true restaurant, where you can sense the passion for this craft.
The bill is absolutely fair and fully justified by the quality of the ingredients, the sourcing of local products, and the overall experience it offers.

11/06/2026: I've been there several times to eat raw fish, and it's never disappointed me. The fish is incredibly fresh, the customer service is excellent, and the atmosphere is refined. One small issue yesterday...the trays containing the raw fish were very large (if that's a flaw) for the size of the table! Thank you for being there. Highly recommended!

17/05/2026: A fabulous little restaurant that we came to at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We had to book in advance and pay a deposit. It was well worth it. First the ambiance and service were wonderful. The fried mozzarella was a really fun dish (think very very refined Italian version of mozzarella sticks!) We had 2 of the pastas with seafood and I didn’t want the experience to end because of how tasty and well balanced the flavors and textures were. To top it all off the baked ricotta and berries desert was one of the best deserts I’ve had. I think it was seasonal. We left wishing we had time come back here again. Highly recommend.
16/05/2026: 5 stars for its category: a neighborhood restaurant with a short menu and fresh ingredients. Well-prepared dishes. Everything is flavorful. The meats are excellent, including the Chianina, this exceptional Italian breed of beef. Reasonable prices. I'll be back.

03/05/2026: I hadn't been back for years, it's changed management. I hadn't been back because they'd expanded too much and it felt more like a festival than a restaurant.
We made the mistake of going on a Saturday night, and despite having a reservation, there was a frustrating line for a table and a strange "table-hopping" system where a table for three became available and they were looking for a group of three in the line. Sorry, but did I book or not?
It's nonsense, something I've never seen anywhere else.
Otherwise, once we managed to get a table, the service was courteous and fast, the food was good, and the price was okay.
I'd go back, but not on a Saturday night.
