15/09/2025: It had been highly recommended to me, which is perhaps why the comparison with the real situation didn't particularly excite me. Everything was normal, of course, but nowhere during the dinner did I find the motivation to give it a rating higher than 4 stars.

06/01/2026: ...I was curious to return to this restaurant, because honestly, the last two times (a few years ago), I hadn't been favorably impressed. Fortunately, I've made peace with Acqua Cheta's cuisine. We ate very well, from appetizers to dessert, and it wasn't the easiest time to achieve this, given that we were a group of 20 people and the restaurant was packed with other similar tables (it was business dinner season). Besides the quality of the dinner, I was impressed by the organization of the dining room and kitchen staff; they managed to handle all that crowd quickly and with the right amount of attention. The quality-price ratio was truly excellent. I'm not sure which dish was the best I ate. Perhaps the mussels stood out above all others. They're a simple dish, but precisely for this reason, hard to praise. They were by far the best I've had in Florence. The spicy calamari soup was also excellent, and the seafood spaghetti was very good. I'll have to return to try the other half of the menu (fried and grilled), which I didn't get to try because I was so full, but the other diners said everything was very good. The only dish that, in my opinion, was inferior to the high quality of the others was the paccheri alla carbonara di mare. I have to say that if I had been the one choosing the menu, I wouldn't have chosen it, and I should point out that it wasn't a bad dish, it was just inferior to the rest.

15/01/2026: I don't understand why it's so famous... the food isn't bad, but it's definitely mediocre. The worst thing, however, is the overall experience: disorganized, incomplete service, slow service—it feels like they're doing you a favor. Of the three dishes I asked for, three were unavailable. At 10 pm (even a few minutes earlier), they said, "No fried food, no, because the fryer's off." I'd been there a while ago and wasn't thrilled, but I decided to give it a second chance, never again. Oh, and it's not cheap either.

01/01/2026: New Year's Eve dinner 2025: terrible service, terrible organization, terrible food, cold place despite the pellet stove, which they probably turned on at the last minute. When I returned home, I had a strong heartburn and a fever. Never again. I don't recommend it, and the other three diners had the same opinion.

16/01/2026: Simply one of the best historic restaurants in Lucca! Definitely one of the best classic restaurants in Lucca. The punctuality of the cuisine, the hospitality of Antonella and Corrado, the food and wine experience, and of course, the service from Lucas and Katia—are at least 5 stars for everyone!!!!! …just one more word—WONDERFUL!!! Christmas lunch organized by the team of Katia, Lucas, and Corrado...and a special thanks—to the heart of the restaurant ----Antonella!!!

08/11/2025: I went there for dinner on my birthday. We had a great meal, and the owner was very kind and wished me a happy birthday.

28/12/2025: A pleasant discovery in the Piazza del Duomo in San Miniato. The service is excellent, combining courtesy with savoir faire. The egg with potato cream, pecorino cheese, and truffle was excellent, as was the creamed cod. It's worth noting that I also found the coffee to be good (often, even in high-end restaurants, I've been served disgustingly sloppy broth). The restrooms are very clean.

21/12/2025: We chose the fish menu with matching wines, a culinary poem, one dish after another. Thanks to those in the kitchen who gave us this tasty journey of taste! A round of applause to the very knowledgeable and kind staff in the dining room.

25/12/2025: Family Christmas, excellent lunch. Everything was delicious, but the braised cheek was phenomenal and deserves extra praise. Impeccable service, attentive but never intrusive. Varied wine list with excellent wines. Grandma's chest of drawers is always a guarantee. I only photographed the appetizer because we then got lost in conversation and wine.
