16/11/2025: After some research, we found this restaurant in southern Florence because we didn't want to travel too far from home. It turned out to be a great find. The place is well-kept, the staff is quick and friendly, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous, which is a real plus. Excellent value for money.

09/11/2025: Seafood restaurant in southern Florence. The summer experience is much better than the winter one because there's a beautiful veranda in the garden that I recommend. Good food and huge portions. There's no way you'll leave hungry. I recommend splitting a first course to try more. Will definitely return.

28/09/2025: Six adults and four children celebrated my birthday, everything was delicious, all the food was starters, first courses, steak, stewed duck, fried porcini mushrooms and the steak, the service was excellent, the owner was very kind and friendly, I highly recommend it, the prices were really good and the quality of the food was excellent.

24/10/2025: Extremely pleasant venue The dishes convey a sense of special attention to quality, starting with the raw ingredients. The flavors are delicate (I tried the rice with seafood ragù, delicious and flawless. Personally, it could have used a little more character, but it was excellent nonetheless). The menu features unusual offerings. The service is quick, courteous, and very friendly, as well as willing to clarify and accommodate special requests. The venue is very well-maintained, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms (I must say, we were only a few customers). The location is excellent, a building on stilts on the beach; dining outside is accompanied by the sound of the waves. For those who prefer to sit inside, I greatly appreciated the choice of background music, which helps you relax and isolate yourself without interrupting conversation. I visited the restaurant during the week in October, so parking wasn't an issue. The prices are high, consistent with the service.

19/10/2025: First visit and impressed by the quality and sensuality Anyone passing through San Vincenzo should definitely stop by here. The location of the restaurant "Il Bucaniere," north of the harbor on stilts by the sea, offers a wonderful place to relax with a variety of visual impressions and culinary delights. The delicious Campari Spritz prepared us well for the evening. For starters, we chose tuna tartare, and for me, tuna with red cabbage and mayo. For main course, the fish of the day, spigola, served with saffron vegetables and avocado tomato salad. The Serre Nuove 14.5% from Ornellaia was the perfect wine accompaniment for us. We also had delicious ice cream with our coffee. And don't forget, here you can get fresh bread, just like we Swiss love. The quality and service of the food completely convinced us, and we will definitely return. Although I don't have the receipt, the price/performance ratio was right for us – upscale but definitely worth the price. The ambiance is wonderfully perfect for us country folk. The friendly and courteous service fulfilled all our requests, such as seeking shade, a slightly stronger Campari Spritz, and a more leisurely pace. Next time, we palefaces will make sure we don't sit in the front line in the sun, but rather in a shady area. There's plenty of parking nearby. All I can say is: "See you soon!"

17/11/2025: I stumbled upon it by chance, already fearing the worst (given its location right next to Piazza dei Miracoli), but it was a pleasant surprise. The assortment of antipasti is amazing, their version of peposo is delicious, and the apple dessert is a classic, incredibly good. But, to quote a saying from a TV show, their "plus" is the host: he explains each dish with expertise and enthusiasm. I'd like to see more like him. I like to know what I'm eating and where it comes from (since I love eating local). I'll keep it in mind in case I ever end up in Pisa again.

12/10/2025: Excellent, we were directed by the lady at the hotel where we had booked for the weekend. On Friday, October 10, for lunch, we were greeted by Mirco with kindness, friendliness, and great professionalism. Tasty appetizers, superb spaghetti with squid ink, with an excellent fried main course. The complimentary spread of soft butter with an anchovy aftertaste was special. The well-stocked wine cellar. A lovely keepsake for our old man's 91st birthday. The usual "we'll be back" is unnecessary, as we had such a wonderful dinner the next evening.

26/07/2025: I chose this place based on photos of the dishes and reviews, and I can confirm my positive impression. The staff were extremely friendly, the service was fast and attentive, the dishes were truly delicious, original, and the ingredients were top-notch. I was very satisfied. The squid ink ravioli del plin filled with fish, with a delicate sauce and crispy cuttlefish, and the sea asparagus and saffron tempura were truly delicious. Also not to be missed was the crispy octopus tentacle on basil mashed potatoes and beetroot chips. The desserts, which were homemade, were also quite good.

17/09/2025: Fish fit for a king, but keep it simple! When I go to Follonica, I always look for simple places where you can eat fish properly. This is one of those trattorias, without too many frills, with old-fashioned decor and a genuine atmosphere. I have to be honest: when it comes to fresh fish, they have few rivals. I had an octopus appetizer that melted in your mouth and a textbook grill, the kind that tastes of the sea. A friend who was with me, however, fared worse with a rice entree: it was overcooked, it seemed reheated, something you don't expect in a place like this. The atmosphere is lively, quite noisy and constantly coming and going, but that's the beauty of real trattorias. The staff is friendly, perhaps a little chaotic when it's busy, but always friendly. My advice: go there for the fresh fish, grilled or fried, and you won't go wrong. The price is fair.
