11/03/2025: My favorite restaurant and I've said it all

22/02/2025: First course not bad in taste, but there were small pieces of hare bone which made finishing the dish annoying and worrying. For second I had the stewed wild boar, I didn't like it as it was tasteless Baked potatoes are good as are pan-fried artichokes. Average price I don't know if I will go back or not since I come here often.

11/03/2025: I came for lunch with a friend with high expectations, as the restaurant is in the Michelin guide, and they were not disappointed at all. The place is very beautiful with a style between modern and ancient, the stone walls and arches give a lot of warmth and the furniture is a mix of ancient, modern and boho. The only flaw about the location is that when I approached the table the floor moved strangely under my feet producing a subtle sound, as if I had walked on an unstable point, it gave me the idea that it wasn't a normal floor at that point, in a place like that I didn't expect it, but it's just a detail. I had a double-creamed risotto with prawns and broccoli and it was divine, a combination of strong, acidic flavors (given by the presence of lemon in my opinion) and delicate flavors from the broccoli. One bite led to another, my compliments to the chef!. Excellent and never intrusive service, very quiet and peaceful atmosphere as expected in a place like this. Excellent experience.

04/03/2025: What an incredible surprise!…nestled in the small streets of Pontedera, La Polveriera is a place of choice: the dishes are surprising in their composition, the origins of the ingredients are surprising! The staff is of an excellent standard and knows how to highlight the dishes. The atmosphere is neat, the decoration is tasteful. I highly recommend this address.

15/03/2025: Excellent experience. The restaurant is run by young, very kind and welcoming staff. Interesting menu and the dishes chosen were extremely popular. Also fully equipped for gluten-free. We will definitely recommend and return to try their other dishes.

03/03/2025: 6 stars ⭐️ I add the sixth star to Mano because he deserves them all! Meanwhile, the journey (35km) is worth it. Where to start??? But certainly from the availability of the staff, from the almost embarrassing professionalism and preparation. Mastery of what is proposed is fundamental and they have been able to deploy these skills! The choice is on an appetizer and a first course. Two culinary experiences of absolute value. I liked the idea of ​​the Seafood Hamburger and the devastating pappardella with N'duja di Mare, approved by the taste buds. The bubbles accompanied the dishes in a decent manner The presentation of the dishes made your eyes say wow at the paintings designed by the Chef! The dessert or rather the infamous Chicco, was a journey to the coconut and passion fruit area. It was almost a shame to ruin a work of art. The muffato greeted the entire dinner complete with sharing images and videos shot by myself. I recommend it I'll be back as soon as possible. Sincere congratulations

14/02/2025: Clean, welcoming, intimate environment. Excellent service, truly impeccable waiters, always smiling, 5 stars are too few for them. Good seafood tasting, excellent braised octopus. Saffron risotto overall good, creamy, but the only sore point is the truffle, I would avoid adding it because it overpowers the taste of the entire dish. The delicacy of the shrimp was no longer perceptible. Juicy tuna, cooked well. Desserts a little expensive, nothing special for the prices (€8-10). The bill can be rounded up, sometimes the gesture of removing two euros and making the amount the same makes the customer more inclined to return.

01/03/2025: I tried this restaurant in my short stay in Pisa. Quality dishes in a traditional and well-kept restaurant. I ate excellent spaghetti and an excellent pork fillet with potatoes. I also liked the service. Absolutely recommended.

Vito is a friendly and competent host, the service provided by a professional courteous staff accompanied by the right sympathy. The spaghetti with red mullet is excellent but whatever dish you choose you will fall on your feet😀. We will be back

23/03/2025: Third time dining here. Came back for the food and hoped that the previous service experiences were rare bad days. Unfortunately it was not. Very disorganized. I know in general there is a shortage of wait staff in Italy, especially in these more rural locations, but other restaurants have found ways to cope. Quality of locally sourced ingredients are excellent. But the chaos of the restaurant (tons of kids, which is normal for a Sunday but still adds a layer of noise that isn't enjoyable for many plus dogs whining, and the exasperation of tables trying to get servers' attention) combined with the very random music, and terribly slow and at times very tense service isn't worth it. 20 minutes for water. Another 15 minutes to get our order taken. Another half hour for apps and drinks to arrive. Another 40 minutes for entrees. Instead of fresh ombrina arrived frozen swordfish. I really want to enjoy this place, and the staff under other circumstances seem to be nice, but it feels like the organization was formed by someone without restaurant experience. All that said, they have an amazing view on the beach. If they could at least be faster with the water, bread and drinks, the waits would be more forgivable. I will probably wait another six months before I try again.

31/12/2024: Spacious, modern, elegant room with large terrace with a view of the sea, wonderful to say is an understatement. Courteous, efficient, competent staff complemented by a chef who invents tasty and high-impact dishes. Rich assortment of especially local wines, well-stocked bar and excellent coffee. Definitely worth returning and recommending to those looking for tasty specialties

03/03/2025: We went to this place on the recommendation of the b&b host, the food is truly delicious and the service is also excellent. We hadn't booked and they put us in a room separate from the rest of the place and I only gave 3 stars because it was cold even though the heating had recently been turned on. Recommended for the food although a little expensive.
