21/08/2024: The first time I was enthusiastic but this time it was absurd. I ask for advice on appetizers and the gentleman tells me that everything is written on the menu. We ask for a bottle of sparkling water and we get a bottle with the sparkling water label while inside there was still water. Their habit of opening bottles while placing them on the table...smacks of a flaw. We were made to pay more for a bottle of coke than what was listed on the menu...their response was that the menu was wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ Never again!!!!!!!! The following day we had lunch in another famous restaurant in Taranto (approximately the same area) well! A whole different story...personal...welcome and honesty.

21/08/2024: Sono tornato per l'ennesima volta in questo bellissimo locale dove cortesia, atmosfera, qualità del servizio, della cucina e delle materie prime sono al top. Ancora una volta io e mia moglie siamo stati "coccolati" e abbiamo trascorso un'ora di relax assaporando pietanze di grande classe. Ringrazio Lello e il suo meraviglioso staff per quello che propongono e per il rapporto con i clienti. All'Antica Cucina ci tornerò ancora e ancora. La consiglio assolutamente! Bravi

Original cuisine, but without frills or creative excesses. Professional and excellent service.

02/08/2024: Fantastic… Domenico, Giovanni, Carmine Sgrebicocca and their colleagues welcomed us magnificently, making us feel at home! We chose to try more dishes to share and we were happy because everything was delicious: the freshest raw seafood, burratina, cod, fettuccine with red mullet, spaghetti with scorpion fish but above all the fantastic Sgonfiotti which stole our hearts! Last but not least, the hazelnut crème brûlé (which I normally don't eat because I don't like it) was something delicious!!! Thank you all for the wonderful evening you made us experience!

01/08/2024: Dinner for 14 people, children and adults. We ate some starters (octopus with Negramaro, seafood salad and tempura prawns) which were all excellent. Pizzas, spaghetti with mussels and sea bream in salt were taken. All very good. Finally we had dessert (sorbet, babà, creme brulee). The white wine they produced was very good. Highly recommended!!

03/08/2024: Ieri sera sono stato in questo posto perché avevo un ricordo del passato eccezionale . Invece è stata una delusione . Il proprietario ci ha accolto già stanco e scocciato . Il Cibo di pessima qualità , pesce di allevamento e servito freddo e insapore. Mia figlia ha ordinato una tagliata che era immangiabile , cottura sbagliata e piena di nervetti. Anche il prosecco di pessima qualità . Un mio amico ha ordinato un troccolo alle vongole immangiabile , pasta scotta e insapore , difatti l’ha lasciato integralmente . Per non parlare poi del conto finale che è stato salatissimo e di certo non all’altezza di quello che avevo ordinato . Ha deluso totalmente le mie aspettative . Non ci ritornerò mai più . Sconsiglio vivamente a tutti di andarci , onde evitare di prendere la ‘solita fregatura estiva ‘ del Gargano .

03/08/2024: Siamo stati ieri a cena con degli amici che avevano un ricordo positivo di questo posto. Ma il ricordo non si è ritrovato con ciò che poi abbiamo vissuto e soprattutto mangiato. Titolare maleducato e stanco del lavoro che svolge. Inizialmente ci ha OBBLIGATI ad ordinare solo antipasti, e da questo ci aspettavamo quantità infinite di cibo, ma non solo quantità e tipologie ridotte SOPRATTUTTO qualità PESSIMA. Tutto freddo e nemmeno scaldato, le seppie erano durissime e l aglio crudo era l'ingrediente che caratterizzava i vari piatti. Abbiamo deciso di ordinare una seconda portata e i tempi sono stati decisamente lunghi. Troccoli alle vongole immangiabili e anche in questo piatto spolverata di aglio tritato sopra(fatto notare e nemmeno tolto dal conto finale). Frittura misera e gommosa, spigola al forno insapore e probabilmente precotta dato che è stato il secondo piatto che è arrivato a tavola immediatamente e per tutti gli altri i tempi sono stati infiniti. È stata ordinata anche della carne e dire che era immangiabile è riduttivo. Conto salato per il rapporto qualità e cortesia.. SCONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE QUEST'ESPERIENZA

29/08/2024: Nightmarish kitchens!!!...if Cannavacciuolo came they would close it immediately without even trying to save it!!!!...frozen fish cooked badly!!!...high price considering the very low quality of everything!!! ... I highly recommend other places in the area that serve fish of the day at a much more honest price.

29/08/2024: In my opinion the best place in Torre Vado for simplicity and quality. I a week I spend in the area at least I go twice . You gotta like traditional food and little rustic ambience. Service and Price are great

11/08/2024: I had dinner last night with my boyfriend in this special little place in Otranto. Perfect cuisine, served impeccably Dishes that contain the true scent of the sea...impeccable and refined staff, always ready to fulfill every request And then what about the owner? Very nice and friendly person...always making sure that everything was in order and that customers were satisfied In short, you must definitely come here if you want excellence!

16/07/2024: Returning after some time with our granddaughter and her parents, we rediscovered the uniqueness of the place (an old tavern on the port), the kindness of the staff starting from the owners Cristiano and Giulia, and we verified a further leap up in quality of catering both in the raw materials and in the preparation of the dishes. Each of the five of us tasted a different first course, tasting each other and then the three of us "plunged" into an exquisite and abundant fried fish while my son and I tasted an excellent roasted sea bass. All accompanied by a tasty Susumaniello rosé. Truly excellent lunch in an almost familiar atmosphere with a nice final chat with Giulia about catering in today's times.

11/08/2024: Good pizza but the tomato must be cooked and seasoned before using it on the pizza and even the (packaged) champignon mushrooms must be sautéed at least Waited too long to get a second bottle of water stain cover dirty due to the water that drained from the decoration plant

17/08/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Specchia San Lorenzo restaurant on August 15th, and I must say that the experience was truly memorable. The refined and romantic location, away from the confusion and with a breathtaking view. The menu proposed for the occasion was well thought out, the staff attentive, friendly and always ready to satisfy our requests. Even though it was a busy day for the restaurant, we were served quickly and courteously, without ever feeling neglected

17/08/2024: I had the opportunity to try the room for dinner on August 14th, and honestly I expected more... menu description not consistent with the courses served at the table; a slice of dry carpaccio with old and tasteless potatoes served as a course of "entrecote with potatoes", a plate of fusilli with bland pumpkin cream instead of a stuffed pasta and much richer and more gourmet according to their menu, fish main course completely full of thorns, perhaps saving the appetizers and the staff as the only positive note. The worst thing was being called by the manager to settle the bill before we could even finish dinner, having to leave the dishes to get cold and stand in a long queue for payment! Very disappointing, a shame because the room deserves it!

17/08/2024: Spectacular...the linguine colatura with anchovies, ricotta and lemon are something indescribable...but I would have also tried so much more. See you next year

16/08/2024: Our best dining experience in Otranto. Excellent food and sophisticated menu. Waiting times of 30-40 minutes between order and start of dinner. The fish dishes we chose were excellent. Very helpful and direct staff.
