14/09/2025: Delightful flavors and aromas. Unique dishes, carefully selected ingredients. The appetizers are very special. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The first course in the photo, whose name I don't remember, has an unmistakable flavor, the sauce is magical, and the pasta is delicate. I highly recommend it.

21/09/2025: IMPORTANT NOTE: We already shared the feedback with the staff after dinner, but we're sharing it here for the benefit of other customers. FOOD (5/5) Delicious pizzas, exquisite fish, fillet steak, and truly excellent pasta dishes: the cuisine remains an undisputed strength. SERVICE (2/5) Quick as always, but with one unfortunate incident: while serving a simple slice of meat to our children, the waitress dripped cooking oil on their clothes and even their hair, without apologizing or offering an immediate solution. AMBIANCE (2/5) The location is elegant and comfortable, but the outdoor patio has been transformed into a sort of birthday party playground, with entertainers and music. We are parents and understand the children's needs, but we were assigned a table right next to the door to the "playroom," while the parents' table was far from the door: constant foot traffic, noise, and cold air made the dinner unpleasant. BILL €190. The owner apologized repeatedly for the incident, and the manager offered us "two pizzas free next time." In the end, a €10 discount was applied. CONCLUSION €10 doesn't even cover laundry for damaged items. From a restaurant of this caliber, we would have expected greater attention and a different kind of "pampering," especially after such an obvious inconvenience. It's a shame, because the quality of the cuisine deserves a much better overall experience. REPLY TO THE OWNER on September 20: Please note that when we received the bill, we were not offered a laundry refund nor the discount for the two pizzas, but only €10 off the €190.

20/09/2025: This evening I came with my wife and children. A super elegant location, the service was nothing short of excellent, with speed and attention to detail that is not to be expected. We will definitely return, confident that we will leave the restaurant with full and satisfied bellies. I highly recommend trying Cortiginao!

14/09/2025: Chic restaurant in a vaulted ceiling. Attentive service. A menu of Apulian classics. Fine cuisine and reasonable prices (not expensive!). The fritto misto is highly recommended, along with the obligatory calamari and prawns with various types of fish. Very tasty! Highly recommended.

26/08/2025: I've been going to this restaurant for years, I've celebrated many anniversaries, I've always been satisfied, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, but lately the pizza hasn't been as good as it used to be. I was very disappointed. I brought friends and I made a bad impression. I had spoken highly of it but instead I was disappointed. It's a shame. I'll think again in the future. 😥

08/10/2025: The worst food we ate in Italy. If I could I would rate it negative , it would be negative 10. The service wa fine, but the food is so disgusting. We did not want to finish our dishes , we barely ate anything. We assumed since they had “fresh “seafood on the display on ice, that they’d be using those fresh fish and other seafood. Omg. What they brought to us seemed like were cooked last week, not fresh at all. Only the look of the dish was horrible, we lost our appetite completely. But we still decided to try everything. it tasted even worse than it looked. Gooey pasta , yucky . It looked more like a soup, but pasty, just look at the picture

07/10/2025: Overall, I can only give it 5 stars...probably if I had to find fault, it would be the slightly above-average price. For four of us, we ate (as pictured) two courses of raw shrimp and scampi, one first course, two fried dishes, and one swordfish. Three desserts and one sorbet; wine, water, and a cover charge. But I understand that the location, time of year, and the ingredients significantly impact the total, and that's perfectly acceptable. If you book via Google, I recommend specifying a terrace table when booking, which unfortunately isn't clear in the booking process and alone makes up for the expense!

22/09/2025: We were there a week ago and had a wonderful time. The terrace overlooking the sea is priceless, and we enjoyed a breathtaking sunset. The service was attentive. After a selection of appetizers (delicious stuffed mussels, marinated anchovies and mussels, and the classic Apulian bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and burrata), the truly knowledgeable waiter suggested an off-menu dish that we agreed to try: excellent orecchiette with clams, Foresta Umbra clams, and bottarga. Delicious. The price was proportionate to the ingredients, the kitchen's skill, and the location. WELL DONE. Highly recommended.

04/09/2025: If you pass by San Giovanni, stop and eat here. We ate very well and paid a fair price. The seafood pancotto is amazing, the quality of the food is excellent, and the service is good. The wait is a bit long, but it's absolutely worth it! Well done!

27/08/2025: Osteria di Chichibio is the best restaurant in Polignano. I went in different restaurants including Grotta Palaze who is famous in this city but I end up coming twice in this place. The food is just another level. Come to eat first and thank me later! It’s a must guys 🥂

26/08/2025: Clothes don't make the man. I've traveled half the world, I love going to restaurants, both high-end and average, and writing reviews... the important thing is to eat well, but I've never had my wife and I looked up and down by the hostess, asked if there was a table available, and received a response... "Come back in two and a half hours." I noticed many empty tables without reservations written on the table... I noticed all the diners very well dressed; we were dressed normally in jeans and T-shirts, but with full wallets... I hope I'm wrong, but the feeling was that we weren't welcome.

02/10/2025: A fantastic restaurant in Bari. A homely atmosphere, great food. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit tricky, as you have to ring the doorbell. We'll definitely be back.

03/09/2025: ed: Visited after 3 years - unfortunately, a huge disappointment. The waitstaff was very poor, arrogant, and incompetent, and the menu, which contained nothing to impress, seemed tailored to tourists - a huge contrast to yesterday's visit to La Bul (located nearby), where the 5-course tasting menu and service were incredible. I don't know why Giampaolo's went downhill like this, but I hope they fix it someday. For now - don't come here under any circumstances. :( And the old review was: "Outstanding. My girlfriend and I visited just before the pandemic; the quality of the food and service, as well as the atmosphere, were a unique experience." And it was 5/5 in all categories...

26/08/2025: A wonderful culinary experience... fresh fish expertly cooked. The seafood risotto was superb. The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming, and Giampaolo was an excellent host. I'll be back!
