I chose to start with oysters and good white walnuts, then a first course with catch of the day, good seasoning but it didn't go well with the pasta, good fried food and cod promoted as the best dish of the place, it seemed normal to me. Price 110 for two people

30/06/2025: A pleasant surprise... Many friends recommended "LA PARANZA" to me, I had never been there... last night we went for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise. Everything EXCELLENT... Exquisite appetizers, EXCELLENT first courses... Attentive and impeccable service... The back garden is beautiful, which for summer evenings is a refuge from the heat where you can relax while dining and sipping excellent wine. The owner is very nice and friendly. We will return as soon as possible to taste the renowned Paella they prepare. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

13/07/2025: We went for dinner at Antica Trattoria Comes on a recent evening and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly it filled up right after opening at 8:30 PM—a clear sign this beloved spot lives up to its reputation . Despite the busy scene, service was great. There was just one waiter on duty, yet he remained friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening—an impressive performance under pressure . To start, we had the seafood salad, simple yet expertly fresh—letting the natural flavors shine. Next up were the seafood cavatelli and seafood risotto, both bursting with authentic, briny “flavours of the sea.” They were beautifully executed and deeply satisfying. We finished with a chocolate mousse, velvety rich and decadently deep, yet never too heavy. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to simple local dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. If you’re in Polignano a Mare and craving honest, flavorful seafood in a charming, lively trattoria, this is a must-visit.

27/06/2025: Tasty dishes (mostly seafood), fresh ingredients (fish was from the catch of the day), nice atmosphere and personnel. We had dinner here both days while in Gallipoli. Definitely not a tourist trap.

26/06/2025: A completely overrated place, in my opinion! We ordered the tasting menu, and it left us somewhat indifferent. The service was a bit unfriendly, and they brought our dishes practically at the same time, which meant we didn't enjoy the meal because we had to eat as quickly as possible so the dishes wouldn't get cold. Quite disappointing because we had high expectations. Still, the place is beautiful and the wine was delicious, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

21/06/2025: Il Fagiano was our caterer at the wedding at Masseria Don Luigi on June 9th, I couldn't ask for anything better, from the service to the food and the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. All the guests were satisfied and complimented on my choice. A special thanks to the restaurant for the excellent success of the wedding, also thanks to them. A guarantee!

29/06/2025: Intimate and cozy in the heart of the historic center. The very kind and helpful staff, impeccable service and a lot of attention to the diners, from the smallest to the "older" ones. The dishes... phenomenal, from the presentation to the flavours. I'll be back again!

04/07/2025: We had dinner here through The Fork. We ordered an octopus salad (dressed octopus) to start; it was very well-made, tender, and flavorful. For main courses, we ordered tuna with pistachio cream and ravioli with crayfish cream. The pasta was delicious, and the tuna was spectacular—juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the pistachio cream gave it a special touch. The place is very pleasant, with both a covered and open terrace. It has beautiful views of an olive grove and the sea.

10/07/2025: Una nuvola in mezzo al mare dove mangiare ottimo pesce e godersi una vista mozzafiato, nella sua semplicità. Specialmente a pranzo. L'antipasto crudo é di altissimo livello, lo scorfano é spettacolare e il servizio é molto "gentile". Il locale é un po' retrò ma è un'esperienza che vale la pena fare, soprattutto se si amano i crudi, la Puglia e quel senso di estate perenne che pochi luoghi sanno trasmettere.

Impeccable service: professional, attentive but never intrusive. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special evening. The raw seafood is an absolute must-try, as are the fish-based first courses. Prices in line with the quality and location. One of the best restaurants in the area.

It’s exactly what happens when you enter their home: they open the doors to their home, welcome you with a smile and treat you like family. This is Calvi: warmth, passion, care. It’s one of those places where you don’t just go to eat well — even if, trust me, you eat like a god — but to live a moment. The place is elegant and welcoming, with large and comfortable spaces. But my favorite corner is near the pass, because from there I can see everything. The kitchen is completely open, a real theater where the show never stops. I could stay there for hours watching how they move, how they take care of every detail… and in fact, every now and then, my wife calls me to order! Chef Donato is young, but with an edge. He has a head, a heart and a lot of hunger (not just for cooking, but for growing): he studies, travels, puts himself to the test. He never stops. Angelica, on the other hand, is the sommelier you would always like to have at your table: brilliant, very friendly, knowledgeable. She reads inside you and can always recommend the right glass, even if you want to dare with a cocktail or a spirit. In the dining room there is also Domenica, sweet, smiling, who makes you feel immediately at ease. Their cuisine is lively, contemporary, but rooted in tradition. You can find meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, daily specials, new dishes every season... but always with a clear philosophy: seasonality, respect for the raw materials and zero waste. I have eaten some of the best dishes of my life at their place. And every time it is different, because the menu changes, the inspiration changes... but the quality never changes. And then there are the leavened products. Bread, focaccia, sandwiches, panettone, brioche: all made by them, with sourdough and selected flours. I often stop by just to get the freshly baked bread, because it is truly special. I close with desserts and ice creams… which are not just “good”. They are poetry. The ice creams are churned on the spot, the desserts are never banal. Calvi is not just any restaurant. It is a real experience, made of heart, technique, family and so much beauty. If you have the chance, go there. Let yourself be embraced.
