09/02/2026: Really nice place, very kind staff, they were really quick to bring the appetizers and first courses, the thing that impressed me most was the risotto alla pescatore really good, it's a marinated fish dish. We will definitely be back.

14/02/2026: A decidedly negative experience. I ate at this restaurant on Valentine's Day and it was a bad experience. Unfortunately, the food was poor, and the portions were very small. The portions were small, and the food didn't live up to expectations. The place was cold and the service was unwelcoming. I won't even talk about it. I absolutely don't recommend it.
14/02/2026: Negative experience... a Valentine's Day dinner (2026) where we gave them 70 euros for a poor appetizer, 2 truly inedible first courses, only 3 pasta hearts, and a fried food that can't even be called such, almost starving. I didn't wait for dessert because I had already seen so much from the dinner, I saved myself a trauma. Never again. The place should be closed starting with dinner in the cold it was.

18/08/2025: A truly beautiful place, with a breathtaking view even at night. The pizza is typical Calabrian, but the penne all'arrabbiata is superb!
The local wine, made on site, is delicious.
The granita is a must!
The prices are fair.

12/02/2026: A very positive experience, refined and well-kept atmosphere. We tried the set menu, where we sampled expertly cooked seafood spaghetti. The mixed fried fish was also good. At the end of the meal, the owner even offered us coffee. Highly recommended if you're in Scalea.
19/10/2025: A very pleasant place, with good full menus and wine! We preferred to eat outside. The menu included specials: Spaghetti with clams, mixed fried fish with mixed seafood, and a whole grilled sea bream with green salad, and finally, a citron cake! Excellent in all respects. We always return when we come to Scalea.

15/01/2026: A pizzeria/trattoria in a friendly atmosphere. Owner Giovanni and head waiter Antonio serve customers with professionalism and expertise. The local wine is good and well-priced. In addition to pizzas, the menu offers well-cooked seafood, especially the grilled and mixed fried fish. The final bill is absolutely fair.

01/11/2025: This B&B experience is not to be repeated, due to the room overlooking the internal construction site and the unfriendly owner.
I love Praia and enjoy going there when I can, but I won't be returning to Porto di Mare.
25/09/2025: Good quality food, otherwise a bad experience. I don't recommend going there. Be careful with the owner (she's clever, even if she doesn't seem so). When I asked for the bill, we realized the next day that she'd listed two salads instead of one, and a dessert we never ate...
Excessive prices. My wife and I shared a cold seafood appetizer and a large mixed grill, along with two glasses of wine.
We paid 90.00.
Absurd!!

25/01/2026: I usually never open pizzas before getting home, today I did it as soon as I ordered, I opened the first one and maybe they forgot the toppings, really small and not very topped, when I got home I tried them they were really awful like a hard shoe sole, not risen on mine I had asked for the addition of a little spicy oil, but maybe the pizza chef wanted to joke and put the whole jar in really inedible I don't think I will ever recommend this pizzeria, I used to come here often when I was little but now it's really awful
24/01/2026: I always enjoy returning to Il Corsaro restaurant in Scalea. The pizzas are exceptional, and the cuisine offers excellent first and second courses. The owner, Gianluca, and his wife are cheerful and very friendly, creating a relaxed, family atmosphere. The ideal place for a quiet evening with good food. Highly recommended!

08/03/2026: Today, March 8, 2026, two people for €59.50. Nice place and decent service. The problem? The price and quality of the food.
€19 for 6 bruschettas, embarrassing to say the least. Ten paccheri that tasted only of salt, and a scialatiello so raw that if thrown at someone's head, it would have caused a brain injury.
I understand that these are the costs these days, and if you decide to go out for lunch, you have to take that into account. But absolutely not like this. I repeat, €19 for 6 bruschettas.
11/01/2026: Takeout mixed fried fish for me: calamari, shrimp, and a few octopus. I've attached a photo. Minimum quantity, maximum price: €20. Shrimp soaked in oil and with a dry, stringy texture, not juicy. Too much salt.
First and last time, goodbye.

09/03/2026: My husband thought the pizza was too big. The pizza was too heavy and too sloppy. I've been eating pizza for so long that I've been eating it too long. It's been great! And the gelato is so delicious it's so hard to eat it.
My husband used to say he didn't like pizza, that it was bready and dry. I decided to debunk this myth and I made the right choice when I chose your pizza. It was excellent! The ice cream was also incomparable compared to others we've tried.
16/02/2026: It was not possible to order one pizza and pasta, we had to order two pizzas, we gave up and ate other dishes.
