27/04/2025: AWFUL, not recommended... anti-Tourists We were in a group, calling in the afternoon to agree on a fixed menu, given that there were many of us... spaghetti with clams and fried food for a certain amount of euros plus drinks.... I asked if it was possible for everyone, and the owner, after consulting with the chef, told us that it was possible, that he had clams. Veraci. I'll book. we get there and .... Endless wait to eat overcooked, broken, sticky spaghetti without any flavour.with, 4 empty clams for many dishes and who had them without any flavour. When we pointed this out, we were told that it was our fault because we had chosen spaghetti with clams. A glass falls and the glass stays there. ... NON-EXISTENT service! In the end we pay an impressive sum each. Eventually after paying Spaghetti with clams Frying COFFEE BITTER SORBET. The owner insisted. Blaming us for all the mistakes made. Don't go!!! If you ask the tobacconist on the coast and he recommends it, know that he is a close relative

26/04/2025: I really liked the starter and the first course, the second course not so much, friendly staff and clean environment, it would be appropriate to improve the signage at the entrance from the idea of ​​a closed restaurant.

08/05/2025: We loved our linch here. Fileja frutti di mare and pizza parmigiana - one of the best lunches we ever had in Italy. And we travel here a lot, like… a lot. Yumm! 👌🏻the waiter dod not talk much but was very nice. Recommended 100%

05/03/2025: Great location, elegant table setting, nothing to be faulted about the food. We ordered seafood: grilled swordfish, grilled local fish (this is how it appears on the menu, without specifying the species) and shrimps. A good Italian school of seafood preparation. We also ordered local wine in a carafe - usually home-made, local wines are a bit less sophisticated, and here it was very good.

10/03/2025: Location senza particolarità ma il personale è gentile e accogliente. Abbiamo mangiato la pizza che è risultata mediocre( è presente anche il menù ristorante), un impasto base, senza alveolature, bassa e con poco cornicione. Positivo il prezzo perchè è contenuto

22/12/2024: Unfortunately I don't know what happened but there was a drop in quality on the pizza. I had dinner with friends (summer 2024) in addition to the heat under that roof and walls closed with transparent plastic, I'm sorry to say but the pizza was not good at all. We ate with friends and no one was happy. Let's hope it recovers because a few years earlier it was good and digestible.

22/02/2025: Un ambiente familiare ed accogliente seppur ricavato in un’unica grande sala ben curata e con angolo bar che sforna un’ottima pizza cotta nel forno a legna con un impasto leggero che la rende ancora più gustosa e digeribile. Tante le proposte a menù ma la tonno e cipolla bianca con un pizzico di piccante sopra è davvero una bontà! Prezzi medio bassi e comodo ed ampio parcheggio antistante il locale posto all’inizio dell’abitato.

02/06/2025: We didn’t have a good experience . My risotto was too salty and flavor overpowering. When served asked, we explain and they never had a consideration like reduce on 1/2 price on my plate or no charge it or a free drink/dessert. I couldn’t eat and was like nothing for them.We were waiting at least a little consideration “on my plate” $16. I do not recommend this restaurant. Probably are too much better options in the area.

30/05/2025: Welcome back to Amantea! I haven't been back to Amantea and Sombrero for many years. We had a great time! Excellent food and fresh fish, generous portions! There were 4 of us, we ordered 2 artisanal spaghettoni all'amanteana and 2 paccheri, both exceptional, especially the spaghetti. Then we continued with 2 slices of grilled swordfish, 1 grilled cuttlefish, 1 tuna with Tropea onion and 2 mixed salads, superlative tuna! A bottle of white wine, 2 bottles of water, 1 pistachio tiramisu and 2 coffees to finish for €45 per person. Top price for the quality of the dishes! Friendly service. Unfortunately I only have the photo of the tuna and the dessert. We ended up at one of the most beautiful tables, in the corner with a view of the sea and the sunset. Even after years it is still the best!

03/05/2025: Very long waiting times. It's impossible to wait with small children, who eventually get bored, and rightly so. It seems that there is no order, whoever arrives later could be served first. Pizzas edge completely burnt.

11/01/2025: Bellissima location sul mare di Cannitello.Arredamento raffinato e a tema con il menù Servizio eccezionale,proprietario gentilissimo e professionale,cameriere che ci ha servito disponibile e gentile. Il menu e' variegato,l'antipasto ottimo e l'arancino con la crema di bergamotto unico

20/12/2024: Ristorante in vita dal 1973, adesso nuova location, essendo venuto ad abitare a Cannitello dalla Toscana per ragioni di lavoro, non mancavo di andare a mangiare da Boccaccio, vicinissimo a casa. Pesce freschissimo, materie prime eccezionali, genuinità e semplicità delle ricette, unita alla gentilezza del personale e alla vista sullo stretto. Trasferito per lavoro, sono tornato stasera, dopo 20 anni, a vedere cosa ha fatto la 3 generazione; ebbene cambiata la location cambiata, location veramente bella, è stato tutto, la freschezza del pesce, le materie prime di altissima qualità, la gentilezza e disponibilità del personale. Lo chef Francesco erede del precedente chef Filippo ha portato una ventata di novità mantenendo la tradizione. Si consiglia Rostbeef di Tonno, polpette alla Boccaccio, Spaghetti alla Boccaccio, gelato Vaniglia al gusto di Arancia. Prezzi assolutamente adeguati. Buona anche la cantina.

17/11/2024: This resturant certainly doesn’t warrant all of its negative reviews. We went late evening and it was a nice temperature, sat directly overlooking the sea on a beautiful clear night. There was a slight language barrier on our part being English, but nothing that prevented us ordering what we needed and the waiting staff were very polite and accommodating. The food was wonderful and the fish was very flavoursome and fresh. That being said, this isn’t the most extravagant restaurant with the most creative or exciting dishes, but it certainly isn’t as awful as people have made it out to be, so do be careful what you read!

27/10/2024: Nice nice restaurant right by the sea. Don't understand the negative reviews. The fish is fresh and local and tastes very tasty. The pasta was also very good. All the food was fairly priced and very tasty. The service was friendly

14/05/2025: We stopped at this place to eat a pizza. No problem with parking, large and quiet place, also because we are still at the beginning of the season. Good service, the waiter very kind and helpful, good pizza too. We learned from the waiter that there are also rooms in the structure, which since I have not seen I cannot judge, we promised ourselves that next time we will stop.

11/05/2025: Simple accommodation, for transit, ok for one night, breakfast was ok, but not particularly rich. The location is ok for a stopover towards Sicily. Good parking options directly at the room on the property.

04/06/2025: Dont go to the restaurant. We had just drinks, no foods and couvert 2€ for person. Are you serious? No way! Never more!!!! Cheaters!

02/06/2025: We went to this restaurant, identified among the many in the area, attracted by the proposal of the first course of the day "tagliolini with prawns, cherry tomatoes and stracciatella". Once seated we ordered: mussels with pepper, fried calamari and prawns, a mixed seafood appetizer, the first courses mentioned above as well as paccheri allo scoglio and we immediately moved on to the dessert "tartufo di pizzo". All the fish was super fresh, the service very attentive and fast and the price honest for the quality and quantity. Highly recommended!!

07/04/2025: Locale molto buono, con interessante menù di carne e di pesce. Siamo stati molto bene e, malgrado fosse affollato, il servizio è stato efficiente e veloce.

02/03/2025: Il servizio è stato pessimo. Tutte le richieste sono state disattese. Si è aggiunta un'ospite, ci siamo dovuti stringere, perché non hanno voluto aggiungere un tavolo. Ho ordinato linguine allo scoglio, mi sono arrivate linguine con cozze e vongole, freddo e salato. Non ci hanno portato il pane che abbiamo chiesto più volte, abbiamo rinunciato ad avere una ulteriore bottiglia di acqua. Non riporto le risposte che hanno dato a delle nostre richieste. Abbiamo pagato un conto di 200 euro.

26/04/2025: Terrible from all points of view, Burnt pizza underneath with raw tomato sauce, irregular and improper spreading given the crust full of dough and, finally, excessively watery dairy products. Not to mention the chips (thawed) and the tiramisu which was just a tasteless ice cube. The service was slow but at least lightened by the joking staff.

20/04/2025: Highly recommended for events, pizzeria and restaurant....friendliness, friendliness, hospitality and professionalism.....I would give 10 stars for everything!!!
