08/12/2025: We ate well, all seafood-based, the stew was excellent, I found a splinter of the shell in the peppered mussels, the price of 36 euros per person for an appetizer, first course, and second course was very good, it's a shame you can't choose à la carte; if you want just a second course or a first course you pay the same amount, the staff were friendly, the bathrooms were very large, and the nice thing was, there were fresh flowers. It's a shame there isn't a very visible sign outside.

26/10/2025: This restaurant is a bit unremarkable, both in terms of location and menu. It offers seafood dishes with a €29 fixed-price menu featuring a choice of three from nine options. The dishes are well-prepared, but there's no hint of traditional ingredients, and the menu is a bit out of place.

10/09/2025: I've been away for quite some time, but last night I had the pleasure of returning. A pleasant late-summer evening, the pizza was superb, even the fried foods. Fantastic location, very well-maintained, and the rooms were even larger and more comfortable. The only downside of the evening, unfortunately, was the lack of communication between the dining room and the pizzeria regarding orders. While we were quietly enjoying our appetizer, the pizza arrived. Truly unpleasant. We had it left on the table anyway, but by the time we ate it, it had gone cold. I should point out that there was no confusion, especially considering it was a late-summer evening.

18/08/2025: A truly beautiful place, with a breathtaking view even at night. The pizza is typical Calabrian, but the penne all'arrabbiata is superb! The local wine, made on site, is delicious. The granita is a must! The prices are fair.

08/09/2025: A welcoming place with a sea view that alone is worth the visit. But the real surprise was the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We ordered an appetizer and a pizza: everything was truly excellent, but the pizza was a revelation. In all my years, I've never eaten anything so good: crispy, light, and super digestible. The service was impeccable, with kind and helpful staff who made you feel at home. The prices were very fair for such high quality. We'll definitely be back! Kudos to the entire staff!

15/08/2025: Unspeakable, they don't take anything away, they make mistakes, burnt food, slow service with no tomorrow. But above all, after an endless service, THEY TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING to send you away. Yes, in my exact words: We have to close.

29/12/2025: Christmas 2025. Excellent and beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea with a stunning view. Lunch with excellent dishes, rich in flavor with unusual ingredients, excellent service too. In conclusion, this is a place I absolutely recommend to Le Castella. We will definitely be back. Well done!

27/04/2026: A welcoming pizzeria-trattoria with plenty of seating. The staff and owner are very friendly, attentive, and attentive. This is my second time here, and I have to say I was completely satisfied. The pizza was delicious, not the usual soggy Neapolitan pizza, but thin and crispy, just the way I like it, with quality ingredients. I'll definitely be back with a group to try their dishes. Totally disgusting, we left EVERYTHING, the appetizer was disgusting, we don't even know what was on our plate, believe me, rubbish, really stuff even a dog would leave behind, total disgusting, seafood first courses cooked like DISGUSTING and left on our plate, the pasta was washed-out and disjointed, probably reheated, and the wines offered were worse than tavernello. Despite everything, the owner had the nerve to charge us 90 euros. All this, for lunch today, Tuesday, April 7, 2026. I strongly advise against wasting money at these scoundrels. Luckily, we found an open bar on highway 106 and they made us 3 sandwiches. This is the pure truth. SHAME ON YOU, you're the bane of the restaurant industry in Calabria, I hope tourists don't even come near this place. Close it down, make a better impression.

19/02/2026: Invited by friends, it had been many years since I'd been here to Ancora. What can I say? It's always excellent, fresh fish, beautiful dining room with soft colors, all overlooking the sea. Dining here is truly enjoyable, especially on a sunny day. Thanks to Pino for recommending us, and especially thanks to Simone for his hospitality. I recommend it for its quality, courtesy, and good price. But above all, they make you feel at home.

30/09/2025: As a location, it's not bad: you're right by the sea, and there are games for children. As for the food, the pizzas are good, but the first courses, at least in our case, were disappointing. The service is slow, but the staff is friendly. I recommend it for pizza, especially on Saturdays, as there's often a wonderful singing voice.

We chose a seafood appetizer, both first courses, and baked sea bass and grilled swordfish for our main courses, and were very pleased with the overall quality. The service was less positive, as it was a bit rushed at times and the menu explanations were unclear. It wasn't a major issue, probably just an off day, but with a little more attention to detail, the experience would have been even better. This restaurant deserves a positive rating for its seafood.
