30/08/2024: Per il tredicesimo anno consecutivo abbiamo cenato per il nostro anniversario di matrimonio. qualità e ricercatezza dei gusti aumentati di anno in anno..atmosfera fine ed elegante arricchita dalla presenza attenta del personale... Fino ad arrivare al livello attuale ... veramente il top per la zona...tutto veramente buono...attesa minima...abbiamo mangiato l' antipasto dopo 15 minuti,il primo dopo 10 minuti dalla fine dell' antipasto...il tutto bagnato da un ottimo vino calabrese...frittura gamberi e calamari "top del top"...

29/08/2024: Location molto carina , vista sul mare , proprietari e staff di una gentilezza e professionalità senza pari , abbiamo cenato per due sere non consecutive , la qualità è la squisitezza delle portate sempre al top !’ l’inguine all’astice , il crudo , la frittura , il polpo , i dolci , tutto perfetto !! Complimenti allo chef !!! Buona anche la carta dei vini , consigliato per I buon gustai .

05/08/2024: We waited more than 45 minutes to have 4 small and ordinary bruschette and another 45 minutes to have 2 pasta dishes with various seasonal fish. Hunger was gone and so was the pleasure of eating. It's sorely lacking in organization; also not able to get a pizza out in a reasonable time. A word of advice: stop thinking about scamming tourists because people will eventually know about it!

04/08/2024: 03/08/24 Thank you for the owner's willingness to find a solution, having not booked as we were tourists passing through with our family. Both excellent pizzeria and restaurant we had dinner in both ways. Friendliness makes the difference. I highly recommend this place with 10 and praise.

06/08/2024: I read the other reviews only today, after having spent 10 days of holiday in this wonderful land and at this beach initially chosen by chance... I have read very negative reviews and I honestly don't agree... this was not my experience which I give full 5 stars. Clean, well-kept and very efficient beach (2 examples: the wooden walkway between the umbrellas is swept every 2 hours and the sunbeds are checked when they open and tighten the screws when necessary), two beach and rescue staff always present, available and very polite. Free cold shower service and hot shower service for 50 cents, table football for the kids and finally restaurant for lunch and dinner with delicious dishes. I personally recommend hamburger sandwich, provola cheese, onion, salad and tomatoes to eat even under the umbrella, exceptional!!! Kindness and friendliness of the owner, Mr. Massimo, always ready to meet every need, as well as of all the staff. Honest prices from the beach to drinks. I highly recommend it!!!

10/08/2024: We went to the sombrero with the 10.15pm shift after sitting down and taking the orders of the pizzas they were very fast, good pizza, just one note one person had taken the spaghetti with anchovies and the spaghetti were not al dente but overcooked.

02/08/2024: Typical Briatico restaurant with terrace overlooking the sea with a variety of fresh fish dishes, all of excellent quality and excellent artisanal desserts. Owner and dining room staff are friendly and available to satisfy customer needs. We recommend it to anyone in the area.

14/08/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo locale per un pranzo. Siamo stati accolti con grande simpatia e cordialità da uno dei titolari che essendo anche il cuoco ci ha illustrato il menù. Tutti piatti eccellenti e servizio attento ed atmosfera familiare. Ti senti come a casa di amici. Ci ritorneremo senz'altro!!! I ragazzi di Bologna ❤️💙

12/08/2024: Location carina situata nel centro storico di Scalea. Il cibo è buono, i prezzi diciamo nella media. Camerieri un pò troppo invadenti a mio parere.

02/08/2024: È un ottimo ristorante situato in una splendida cornice.Ha tavoli all’aperto dai quali puoi ammirare lo splendido panorama, sia del mare che della suggestiva scalea vecchia. La cena è stata ottima con un giusto rapporto qualità prezzo. Il personale molto gentile . Come tutti gli anni ci ritorneremo senz’altro

27/08/2024: Very bad experience. Clumsy and inexperienced staff, the waitress took 10 minutes to open a bottle of wine. We skipped the raw fish, luckily, otherwise we would certainly have come out with poisoning. Nothing special, for the first courses, but truly scary frying... with smelly, bleach-flavoured prawns. After demonstrating the problem, the waitress comes out saying that in the kitchen they assured him that the fish was fresh and that they would show us the invoice proving the purchase that day...... shocking rudeness. Given that, smelling the dish, the waitress herself makes a face of disgust and asks us to excuse her, because he didn't know what to do or what to say. One of the owners who found out about the incident didn't even bother to apologize or ask us if we had preferred something else. In the end, when we got up to go and pay, they even followed us from afar, for fear of leaving without paying the bill.........overall, a structure to avoid, there is much, much better , between courtesy, quality and price. Shocked to say the least.

24/08/2024: Tonight's dinner is a total failure. At the beginning, we ordered dishes from the menu that the waiter brought us. 40 minutes after placing the order, we learned that these dishes were unavailable. Then we received another handwritten menu from which we placed our order. At 10 p.m. (two hours after placing the order) we received our food at considerable intervals. The behavior of the owner/manager of the restaurant was scandalous - after hearing our comments, he reacted with aggression, threatened the police and told us to leave the premises even though we wanted to pay the bill, also after a long wait and searching for the person responsible for accepting payments. We were regular guests, so we were even more surprised by the ignorance of the staff. I don't recommend it and I will never go there again. Ciao Bambina

28/08/2024: WRONG!!!!!!!!! LITTLE CLARITY. A bit long review but I hope you read it all. I found out about this restaurant through Instagram. I was struck by the view and especially by the table in front of the window where you can see a beautiful panorama. I book with a WhatsApp message asking, for lunch, the table in front of the window (the only one and only the others were distributed around the room which in any case have a view...even a table is near the balcony). Perfect shame that when I get there they ask me if I knew how it worked. I imagined it like any other restaurant. No. If you sit in front of the panoramic window you must necessarily consume two dishes each. This was not specified to me during booking. Once there we accept the proposal and sit down. We were given a menu without prices saying that we could take what we wanted (referring to two dishes each) and the cost would be €60.00 per person. We ordered two appetizers and two first courses. The starters are really skimpy compared to the price, while the first course is more abundant. The appetizers ordered did not have a surcharge or certainly it was not written on the menu but when the bill came the cost increased. We took the dish of the day: spaghetti with lobster sauce. In this case we were not told that the dish of the day had another cost (higher obviously). Then we add a glass of wine and a bottle of water. Long story short, two of us paid €220.00. Scrolled from start to finish. Lack of clarity which deceives the customer. The quality of the food must be paid for and I agree with it, at the same time I demand clarity to allow me to decide whether it is worth it or not.

27/08/2024: So, my girlfriend and I were on holiday in the splendid Tropea and, wanting to eat in a beautiful place for the occasion, we chose this place following the photos seen on the internet. We booked the table overlooking the sea during the sunset to have an experience to remember, when we arrived on site they made us sit at the booked table and only after having sat down did we find out, thanks to the staff, that the chosen table had a separate menu , which required a minimum spend of 60 euros for 2 courses and 75 euros per person for 3, excluding side dishes. The news, being kids anyway, made us laugh a little, but now sitting at the table we preferred not to say anything and looked at the menu. The food however, of course, was delicious, fresh and very tasty. The setting was very fascinating, the sunset over the sanctuary was breathtaking, however the table was quite "narrow" without much possibility of moving, the bathroom was nothing special. The discreet service, little analysis of the dishes when they were served, staff anxiously staring at the customers and as I mentioned before the detail of the different menu which we were not aware of until we sat down (without the possibility of choosing and in any case obviously finding ourselves in an embarrassing situation). In total for 2 starters, 2 second courses, 1 side dish and a bottle of water we spent 150 euros. We still spent a beautiful evening with a wonderful view, but we would have preferred to know the various details regarding the menu first, thus being free to choose.

27/08/2024: Il personale sulla terrazza è stato gentilissimo, cibo squisito, per finire, un tartufo di pizzo buonissimo, il conto senza nessuna sorpresa , vista incantevole.

26/08/2024: sono già svariati anni che torniamo in questo ristorante, il cibo è di ottima qualità e il servizio è veloce e attento. La proprietaria è veramente super accogliente e simpatica. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. torneremo di sicuramente anche l’anno prossimo, in bocca al lupo!

04/08/2024: The owner is a great fan of F1 and in particular of the British driver Lewis Hamilton (if you are one too, a small discount could be given at the checkout 😉) the strong Bari accent is very homely. The evening was very pleasant, perhaps the only negative note was that I was playing Among Us with my companions at the table and they forced us to close the game, all in all nothing annoying but an experience definitely worth repeating 🤙🏻

25/08/2024: Fileja with 'nduja, pecorino and spectacular onion chips, for the second course tuna with onion very good, I would suggest cutting the onion into strips instead of putting it in whole slices. Price normal.

24/08/2024: Terrible place with tables one on top of the other and no toilets. If you need to use the bathroom they send you to a room next door. Equally bad service with exorbitant waiting times, so much so that you have to cancel the order of the second courses. The food is acceptable, but paying €92 for a small sample of onion, two first courses, a beer and a bottle of water seems a little exaggerated to me, also because the food was nothing exceptional. Strongly not recommended.

28/08/2024: Siamo stati al “Residence Pietre Bianche Aparthotel” a Pizzo Calabro lì ci siamo trovati molto bene grazie all’accoglienza e alla disponibilità del responsabile, ma la nostra vera fortuna è stata quella di conoscere all’interno della struttura lo chef che dirige il ristorante “ME Restaurant”. Una persona disponibile e preparatissima che ci ha deliziato con le sue specialità. Piatti eccellenti, bravissima persone che ci ha sempre soddisfatto le nostre richieste.

21/08/2024: Come ogni anno...si passa di qua e...la tappa è obbligatoria...noi che amiamo la familiarità è quello che respiriamo quando ci fermiamo qui...lo chef Giuseppe ed Eleonora ogni volta ci deliziano con i loro gustosi piatti...e soprattutto con la loro semplicità che fa da cornice a prodotti speciali...che dire...ancora davvero grazie perché a parte la grande bontà dei piatti (presentati in maniera deliziosa) è il loro essere così che rende speciale anche l'atmosfera della location...Avanti così!
