15/09/2025: A culinary gem in the heart of Tropea I was fortunate enough to discover this Italian restaurant during my visit to Tropea this summer. From the very first moment, the atmosphere envelops you: warm, welcoming, and full of the typical charm of southern Italy. The outdoor tables overlooking the picturesque streets make every meal feel special, whether day or night. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very professional, always smiling. You can tell they enjoy what they do and want every customer to have an unforgettable experience. Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared, with fresh and authentic ingredients. The pizzas, in particular, deserve a special mention: light and crispy dough, sauce with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and topping combinations that respect Italian tradition while still surprising. We also tried pastas and appetizers, and everything was of an extremely high standard. If you're in Tropea and looking for a place to eat really well, enjoy a charming atmosphere, and feel welcomed from the moment you walk in until you leave, you can't miss this restaurant. I would come back a thousand times over! 🇮🇹🍕🍷

30/08/2025: A truly excellent little place for a lunch break by the sea. The owner recites the daily menu. The first course, "i panciotti," is excellent, made with care and using fresh ingredients. The fried food is delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned with salt. The spritz with their limoncello is very good. I highly recommend it.

08/09/2025: September 8th: Terrible welcome, rude staff. "You have to be completely right or you'll be kicked out." These were the words, perhaps just because they're young. However, it's not acceptable for customers to always be right, even if they can be fanatical. Otherwise, this place has nothing to offer. There's no music. The only problem is the sunbeds and the unpleasant staff. I'll add that I just left the beach, and after reading the review, they even made fun of me.

25/08/2025: Gorgeous location, on Paola's stunning seafront. They have a restaurant, bar, and beach club, and have been family-run for many years. The outdoor spaces could definitely use some updating, but overall, I appreciated the fact that they were open on the seafront, which is already sadly deserted these days with many restaurants empty. They were even serving fresh croissants at 11 p.m., which was great. Fast service and fair prices. As for the fish dinner (don't you dare order meat here), the food is fresh and generally good. They also have a children's menu, and free parking is available in front of the restaurant. A place with tons of potential, but unfortunately, it hasn't quite blossomed as it deserved.

19/09/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. The location is beautiful, with an enchanting view of Scilla. We ordered exquisite fried fish and excellent mussels with pepper as an appetizer. The first courses were exceptional: DELICIOUS linguine with sea urchins, and delicious paccheri stuffed with ricotta and swordfish. We continued with stuffed swordfish rolls and a swordfish steak of the highest quality. Excellent service, with unparalleled friendliness and kindness from the waiters. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended! We'll be back!

13/09/2025: Terrible. Price-quality ratio? Absolutely below average. Portions are less than adequate, not to mention the quality. Calabria deserves much better, a region with PGI olive oil, and yet the oil arrives in a sachet... this is a small detail, but truly pitiful.

26/08/2025: I went as a couple to this seafood restaurant, which should be considered a "quick-and-go" restaurant for those passing, unpretentious diners. The prices were high, the food was meager, and the prices were unjustified for the quantity and quality. This is a seafood restaurant where dishes are served with condiments similar to those at self-service restaurants or roadside restaurants, namely in sachets. When I specifically requested quality olive oil, or at least bottled oil, given that I was in a zero-mile area, I was told it wasn't available (which is a must in other nearby restaurants), a sign of poor customer service and a lack of local attention. Not to mention the bread being made of rye or similar, which also doesn't reflect the area and typical local products. I hope the manager takes this review from a customer who experiences restaurants everywhere into constructive consideration. Finding a restaurant in Calabria in the famous town of Diamante, where the typicality of the products makes the difference, would have been highly disappointing. This is true even if I had been in Milan, Bologna, or Trento. This is without taking anything away from these wonderful cities, but in the South, from the South, one expects quality, tradition, and customer care, among many other things, especially in the restaurant and tourism sectors. If we take this away, all we have left is the sea.

07/09/2025: Shameful food, inedible mussels and clams, scandalous rigatoni alla lupara and very high price, however the atmosphere is very nice.

25/10/2025: 1 star because it's not possible to give it 0. We waited 1.40 hours for a pizza that we didn't even eat, because in desperation we left at 10.40pm (we arrived at 9pm). Two of us had ordered a fried food, which arrived quite quickly, but it's unthinkable to let only part of the table eat while the others stand around and watch. Two pizzas are baked every 30 minutes. Get ready, because at this rate you won't get far. The bill was incredibly high, basically €75 for two fried foods with a side salad and two portions of chips. Highly not recommended.

06/10/2025: Mediocre food for Italy. The octopus on my pasta was anywhere to find. The muscles on the past were mostly closed and some tasted not good. Beer was warm. Service was good. View was amazing

23/08/2025: The service was adequate, the maître d' was very kind and friendly, but the food, on the other hand, left much to be desired. The grilled meat was burned, and spending €35 for a dish that simply tasted burnt isn't ideal. The caramelized onion tasted too vinegary, the tuna (from the tuna with Tropea onions dish) tasted more like boiled than cooked, and the fried calamari was too tough. Furthermore, you could tell the oil it was fried in wasn't the best, probably having been used too many times. The prices were not in line with the quality of the food served.

19/08/2025: A shabby trattoria, where you eat in a plastic tent with dim lights. The staff is unsuitable for table service, rude and awkward. Meager dishes and exorbitant prices. I ordered paccheri allo scoglio and was served five cold paccheri. Not recommended! Unworthy of the name "fish trattoria."

14/10/2025: Excellent food, and the manager is very friendly and chatty. A shout out to Massimo, too, even though he took my wine away before I finished it.

19/08/2025: Nothing special, the service was decent, in fact terrible, the dishes were very salty and expensive, they brought a beer to the table at room temperature, we will definitely never return

21/09/2025: Extremely rude service, I think one of the rudest services I've ever experienced. The few times I've ordered from Master Pizza, the pizza has arrived at least half an hour late. I also asked for a Red Bull and specified IF THEY HAD ANY, and the lady who answered the phone said, "HEY? Look, we'll give you a free drink." Not even "Sorry, we don't have any." I don't think I'll ever order from here again, just because of the acidity they left in me.

22/06/2025: I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this pizzeria. I had clearly specified that I wanted an undercooked pizza, but it arrived with a burnt edge and a disgusting appearance, more reminiscent of vomit than an appetizing dish. The quality of the ingredients leaves much to be desired and the presentation is simply unacceptable. After calling to complain, I pointed out that the pizza was burnt, but I was arrogantly told that it was impossible, even though it can be clearly seen in the photos. Furthermore, the staff simply pointed out that the pizza cost €11, while on the receipt it was €11.50, as if that justified everything. Treating a customer this way is unacceptable!!

15/10/2025: Yes, it was quite ok...We shared pasta first and then a tuna steak, it was no problem, but unfortunately out of season you feel more like an 'annoying guest' than a welcome

07/09/2025: A quiet and welcoming location, surrounded by greenery, where you can spend a wonderful day. The food is good, high-quality, and the staff are friendly. We were very satisfied.

24/08/2025: I arrive and see a waitress eating a mixed fried food near the pizza oven. Everything is fine, nothing special. We sit down and order. No bread or breadsticks on the table. We wait for more than an hour. Finally, the pizzas and mixed fried food arrive. A friend even left almost the whole pizza. 4 mixed fried food portions are poor. Mine was actually half the size of the others. The location is nice, but it's better to have a dive with good food than a nice location with hunger and prices a little higher than the restaurants in the area (for the locals, you saw me once and you never saw me again).
