11/05/2025: We ended up in this little place to have lunch, we sat down and after 20 minutes they came to take the order given that they don't have a menu and the waitress lists the dishes of the day with the surprise prices...... And in any case we order a drink and after having asked for the glasses three times seeing as they were missing on the table I took them from a nearby table in all this 40 minutes pass to bring the first courses and let's say that within 1 hour we managed to start eating given that only they were there very few people, another 15 minutes for the second course but I must say that the dishes were really good, nothing to say about the quality of the food, in fact the frying was very light, this only takes the compliments I gave but for the rest........ leaves something to be desired for a place with so much potential

17/04/2025: Poiché le condizioni meteo non consentivano ancora di poter cenare all'aperto, ci siamo accomodati in una sala con luci soffuse e gradevole musica di sottofondo. Dopo aver scelto un tavolo con vista mare, il cibo ci è stato servito con un servizio celere e garbato. Cozze ripiene davvero di ottima qualità e alici ripiene fritte in croccante panatura. Gnocchetti ai frutti di mare al cartoccio e filetto di alalunga su tortino di patate e cipolla di Tropea. Ottimo anche il semifreddo allo zabaione con amaretti e cioccolato fondente. Il tutto accompagnato da un vino venduto ad un giusto prezzo. Tra l'altro, in qualità di clienti dell'albergo abbiamo ricevuto uno sconto del quindici per cento. Insomma buon cibo accompagnato da gentilezza, professionalità in una location da sogno. Giusto rapporto qualità-prezzo.

17/04/2025: Struttura molto bella, ben curata. Camere pulite, la nostra con balconcino vista, anzi sul mare. Molto curata con tutto l'occorrente di buona qualità. Colazione ottima, salato/dolce e dolci fatti in casa. Abbiamo anche prenotato la cena. Personale disponibile e professionale. Cibo ottimo (il filetto di alalunga ottimo, se invece di 2 fossero stati 3 pezzetti sarebbe stato una perla in piu ), con buon rapporto prezzo qualità. Ottima e varia scelta dei vini. Dulcis in fundo sul uno sconto del 15% inaspettato, come ospiti dell'hotel. (non avevo letto che fosse previsto). Ringrazio il personale e i gentili proprietari.

30/09/2024: The restaurant is the Praia art resort complex, open only in the evening from 19.30. It has several Michelin stars. It offers a tasting of 3,5 or 7 courses/ but you actually get more/ You can ask for a wine pairing. The food is superb, they use local organic raw materials, beautifully designed and served Quality wines. We visited twice. We tried the 7-course menu, the second time a la carte. Service level. The price matches the quality.

10/02/2025: L'altra sera abbiamo preso due porzioni di patatine erano abbondanti e buone, le pizze che abbiamo preso erano la casareccia e la saporita entrambe buo..ni..ssi..meeeee, l'impasto strepitoso è dir poco, non fa venire sete come molto succede quando l'impasto non ha una buona lievitazione, gestione e servizio ottimi. Gentilissimi e attenti ai clienti. Poi c'è anche una saletta piccola che è molto intima e accogliente. Lo consigliamo a tutti e ci ritorneremo presto. Grazie.

09/02/2025: Last night we had two portions of chips they were plentiful and good, the pizzas we took were the casareccia and the tasty one both good..ni..ssi..meeeee, the sensational dough is an understatement, it doesn't make you thirsty as often happens when the dough doesn't have good leavening, excellent management and service. Very kind and attentive to customers. Then there is also a small room which is very intimate and welcoming. We recommend it to everyone and will return soon. Thank you.

06/05/2025: I was passing through the area and at lunch time I decided to stop in this restaurant to eat some fish. The place was completely empty, I was the only diner, and this meant courteous, punctual and rapid service, as well as the delivery of the dishes. I ordered spaghetti with clams and a mixed fry of octopus and anchovies only. The second was excellent, in its simplicity. Fresh raw materials and light fried food which enhanced the flavour, respectful of the ingredients. The first course of spaghetti with clams with bottarga was good but not excellent, I think for a simple reason, namely the primary condiment, the clams, which did not seem to me to be of the highest quality. I also took the habit of checking the quantity. Well, there were only 7 clams in shell! For the rest, there were a dozen clams without shells which, I fear, were the classic shelled clams packaged for restaurants... a shame, because this detail means that in my review the restaurant does not deserve excellence.

30/03/2025: Un'ottima scoperta!!!! Nonostante le tante recensioni negative abbiamo deciso di pranzare al "Pesce Fresco". Siamo rimasti davvero piacevolmente sorpresi. Cibo ottimo e di qualità. Un menù innovativo ma al contempo legato ai sapori della nostra terra. Personale competente e gentile. Giusta proporzione tra qualità e prezzo. Complimenti! Se deciderete di scegliere questo ristorante rimarrete piacevolmente sorpresi!

12/02/2025: My colleague and I had dinner at this restaurant. I chose a seafood salad, while he ordered spaghetti with seafood, accompanied by a bottle of still water and a small Coca-Cola. The bill, however, seemed excessive compared to what we consumed; the prices are really too high for the quality and quantity of the food offered. It's as if they made us pay a disproportionate price, almost like an armed robbery.

21/01/2025: Unforgettable experience! We spent a special evening, starting with the welcome from the owner, a sweet, kind and very present person throughout our dinner. The food was an indescribable taste experience, the quality and freshness of the fish literally amazed us. The place is very welcoming and well looked after, from the armchairs to the splendid hand-painted lamps, in short, a magical place. Super positive review because everything deserves to be known and appreciated in the best way. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! Thanks for a wonderful evening

04/05/2025: Zeker één van de beste restaurants in Scalea. Gelegen op een sfeervol pleintje in het oude centrum. Beperkte menukaart maar meestal staat dit borg voor verse en kwaliteitsvolle producten én dat bleek ook zo te zijn. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Een topervaring.

26/04/2025: Posto finora perfetto stasera tanta delusione. 2 paccheri all astice 70€ ove in questi non c era nessun connubio. Non è una questione economica ma solamente pura mancanza di combinazione culinaria/soporifera. Non so se tornerò x dare un ulteriore chance. Saluti e buona vita

01/05/2025: Today is a holiday and most restaurants are closed. We were just passing by and wanted to eat! This restaurant has low ratings, but it was open. And we are happy!, this is the best restaurant during these three days of our stay in Italy (Naples, Matera..). Excellent service, high quality products and expertly prepared. The price is absolutely reasonable. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to take a photo.. The food was served in a high-class restaurant. Thank you and prosperity to you!

23/04/2025: We ate on Easter Monday, the dishes were poor and not of high quality, the wine was paid for separately from the menu, except that the waiter at the beginning only asked us if we preferred red or white wine, so do you think they will have included it in the menu? Instead, in the end we paid €24 for the bottle without being asked to make a choice, and then we asked for an orange soda and they didn't have any. All in all, very disappointing, you sum it up.

07/05/2025: The place is nice, perhaps because it is a few meters from the sea but it seems in need of a restyling. The appetizer, which arrived in fits and starts, was nothing special, on the contrary, the fish balls seemed like leftovers with a strong and unpleasant taste, as soon as they were opened they revealed minute fish bones in plain sight and a mush piled up around them. The first course and the grilled swordfish as second course are good. Definitely poor service: several times we had to ask for bread while they had already brought the starter. The dishes were still on the table as the first and second courses arrived. Staff in the dining room pay little attention to orders and are not always punctual to customer requests. Experience not to be repeated

22/05/2025: It wasn’t too noisy, the service was very attentive, and the food was delicious! Firstly, they gave a complimentary entree of the tropea onion, which was very nice. I also very much enjoyed the tropea salad. This massive portion of carbonara was only 10 euro and was just what I needed. They offered me a complimentary digestive at the end of the meal as well. There is a 2 euro cover per person, so you know. This meal was very wholesome, the portions were great, ambiance was lovely and service top notch. Thanks so much everyone for such a special dinner. I will be back!
