26/10/2025: Our culinary experience at da Gianni was exceptional...the fish based dishes kept on coming ,one more delicious and appetizing than the previous one. No way you can choose one more favourite than the other. Cristian, a most precious and knowledgeable host, courteous and well mannered. The food and the jarred products he prepares are a testament to his culinary passion and his love for wholesome "good - for - you" food. Thank you Cristian, Gianni and ristorante staff.

18/11/2025: Located on one of Paola's main streets, it offers outdoor dining, and is very quiet in the evening.
The owner is a very friendly and helpful person; he takes care of selecting the ingredients, which are truly top-notch. The sandwiches are truly delicious! 💯

01/01/2026: An extremely disappointing experience. Nothing met expectations, from the unprofessional service to the confusing organization. The most serious issue, however, was the complete lack of attention to food intolerances: a woman at our table with celiac disease received a plate of pasta that contained obvious residues of regular pasta. This was an unacceptable mistake that demonstrates superficiality and a lack of professionalism, especially on such a serious issue. Communication was poor and often unclear, resulting in wasted time and frustration.
The overall quality is significantly below what was promised and absolutely does not justify the expectations.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
22/10/2025: Disappointing experience.
Unfortunately, my stay at Agriturismo Il Borgo sul Lago was very disappointing. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, the mosquito nets were broken, and the air conditioning filters were completely dusty. Overall, the entire property lacked maintenance: old furnishings, poorly maintained spaces, and poor housekeeping.
I also found animals in the rooms, which gave me a strong sense of neglect.
The location and potential of the place are good, but it needs more careful and professional management: as it is, I would not recommend it.

The owner and his wife ensure a welcoming and professional visit, always offering the best recommendations. Excellent place and a great value.

30/09/2025: As a location, it's not bad: you're right by the sea, and there are games for children. As for the food, the pizzas are good, but the first courses, at least in our case, were disappointing. The service is slow, but the staff is friendly. I recommend it for pizza, especially on Saturdays, as there's often a wonderful singing voice.

14/12/2025: Last night we celebrated my sister-in-law's 40th birthday, the food, professionalism and location were all impeccable, and finally I was surprised by the super kindness of the owners... one of the guests left the car lights on for the entire duration of the party, not allowing him to restart the engine, and all it took was asking for their help and they immediately improvised as auto electricians 😅 with lots of electrical cables, solving the problem and to top it off, after we were freezing outside, they also offered us grappa 😅 what can I say, unique ❤️

24/02/2026: It was a challenge to find a restaurant open for dinner during the week in February in Scilla. We weren't expecting much, considering it's not the peak season, but we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very unique, elegant, with background music and extremely friendly staff who offered us two glasses of prosecco and an aperitif while we waited for our dishes. I highly recommend it.
22/02/2026: A quaint setting. We ordered two spaghetti dishes that looked like clams, but were actually a garlic and oil dish for €22—and I repeat, €22 per dish. Two fried calamari dishes arrived dark and bitter, and the fryer oil absolutely needed replacing, for €15 per portion. I have to say, it was one of the worst lunches I've ever had.
